I was in search of a similar setting, but also aimed to save money. Through group on I had bought passes and tried several classes with various Social Salsa and Bachata groups with out the quality that i was looking for, they all taught combos and broke down the steps primarily focused on the leads role. I felt as a fallow we were there just as learning tools for the leads which was very disappointing. There is so much more to being a follow, and so much more to dancing then just learning the steps. RF was next on my list, I had been following them and a friend invited me to a social dance at the studio. I met Mike for the first time, was a great host, extremely welcoming and friendly. He invited me back to the studio with a complimentary pass for a fee trial class. My first day I arrived to observe a class so i could watch and get a feel for the studios tone. What caught my eye was Mike's attention to detail! His perfectionism during a fundamentals class, in addition to his explanation of body mechanics, body alignment, posture, turn out, hip rotation etc. He saw his students as individual dancers! During group class The combos were broken down for the leads as well as the follows! The spoke about tension, connection.... where is the lead taking you you and how to follow the lead properly. The emphasis and importance of a follow keeping her frame. Finally, my search was over! An affordable studio that upheld quality and professionalism starting with the owner and transcending throughout all the instructors. I have met great people and amazing dancers at all levels. Such great vibes here that my 13 and 15 yr old started taking classes drawn in by Kike's cumbia class, branching out to Geraldo's bachata shines class... and now venturing into salsa. My daughter is super excited to try Amelia's Salsa on2 heals class, which I love! As with any group class, give yourself some space to try a few different teachers until you find the one(s) you enjoy the most! The owner, Shawn, and desk staff are friendly and helpful; always happy to answer questions about levels, styles, and instructors. My go to is Arianna Hyatt. She teaches well rounded true to level classes (read the class description and know thyself). She motivates and encourages dancers to meet their goals, whether that is fun, fitness, training for an audition, getting back to dance after a hiatus, or perhaps all of the above. She provides a supportive environment while offering technique, structure, and a little challenge - if that is what you're after. The community she's cultivated within every class is palpable. If you're a beginning/intermediate or advanced level dancer, looking for ballet, broadway, or tap, definitely check the schedule for her. (Double check the level as she teaches a variety.) If you're on the fence, I'd say find any class that interests you at the studio and give it a try!

We attended a free trial tap/ballet class for my 3.5-year-old daughter and I wanted to share our…read moreexperience. First, there were several positives. The weekday class time was perfect for our schedule, and the monthly tuition is comparable to other dance studios in the area. Parking was convenient in the nearby structure and only cost me $1.75. Ms. Sarah, the owner, was welcoming and took the time to give us a tour. Our daughter enjoyed the class, and the instructor was kind and did a good job working with the girls. That said, I did research the website beforehand and it is very inviting, but in person the studio felt quite outdated and could benefit from some renovations. A few things that stood out: * The dance floor appeared to be a temporary or makeshift floor and felt uneven in places. * There were no mirrors in the classroom, which I think can be helpful for young dancers learning movements. * The class was closed off from the walkway of the studio by portable curtain dividers * There wasn't a comfortable viewing or waiting area for parents. There were a couple of chairs out in the front entrance of the studio on the sidewalk where a few can stand or sit and watch through the window, and if you stayed inside, because of gaps in the curtains, it was difficult to watch the class without feeling like you were peeking through. One other observation was that a fair amount of class time was spent transitioning from tap shoes to ballet shoes. I understand and appreciate that the instructors encourage the children to become independent by changing their own shoes, but for a class of 3- and 4-year-olds, many needed assistance, and it felt like too much time was spent on shoe changes. Overall, our daughter had fun, which is the most important part, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. However, the overall atmosphere felt a bit crowded and dated. With some updates to the facility, I think this dance studio would truly shine. I'm very grateful we had the opportunity to try the free class, and I hope this feedback is helpful as the studio continues its already successful reputation.
