She worked for some time with a Chiropractor and learned some good techniques for dealing with chronic and acute back pain resulting from injuries. I suffered a major accident where a truck hit me from behind while I was riding my road bike up Little Cottonwood Canyon, and threw me down the ravine. It fully destroyed my pelvis, shattered a vertebrae, collapsed my left lung and broke several ribs, among other injuries too numerous to list here. Anyway, I have suffered severe chronic pain in my nerves, bones and muscles. Fortunately I found Sarah! She knows what she is doing and has helped to get circulation into muscles that are completely knotted up. She helps those muscles relax and the rest of my body is more relaxed in turn. Sarah helps reduce my sciatic pain for a period of time. Honestly, I wish I could see her about twice a week and I'm sure my chronic pain would not be quite so bad. Sarah also has experience massaging athletes after heavy training or a competition. She is incredibly strong and can massage deeper than I can handle, and have had to remind her of that. She also has a great fun personality for those times you want to talk, and can be totally quiet those times you are so blissfully relaxed your mind has seemingly left your body. I have always been Impressed by her knowledge of massage techniques, as well as her willingness to study in order to provide better care. In fact, I found her studying particular muscle groups so she would know better how to aid my recovery. That was above and beyond in my opinion. I'd you haven't guessed by now, I highly recommend visiting Sarah Minen for your massage therapy needs, whether for serious muscle care or simply blissful relaxation. She's the best.

I had injured my shoulder very badly from an extremely heavy purse that I carried around all day. It was so bad, I couldn't raise my arm above my head and I was really worried that I would be unable to work for a few days because it hurt so bad to move it or to lift anything. I actually was contemplating going to doctor for xrays or something just to make sure I didn't dislocate it. So I go to see Leah, who I met recently and thankfully could get me in sooner than my other masseuse. Jenny took the time at the beginning to ask what the problem areas were and to understand exactly what I was looking for. She let me know how I could control the amount of pressure she applied, and made sure I was comfortable. She's clearly very experienced, strong, and skilled at what she does. You can tell that she enjoys her work. She has a positive attitude, and it is a pleasure to talk with her. Her deep tissue massage was very helpful. My body felt great the next day. I will book another massage with her next time I visit Salt Lake City.

Mostly because I have a tough body and not a lot of massages "hit" the spots. I had to cancel the original session and reschedule due to work reasons. Nigel was really accommodating and easy to reschedule that with. Didn't make me feel like it was a hassle for her to change the date and even accommodate the times I was being picky with. It had to be an appointment after 3pm. She got me in on a Saturday after 4pm which was perfect for me. Upon arrival, we pulled into the second driveway thinking the place was closed. lol! The map took us into that driveway. Blame the map. My husband went out to look for the suite, the area was a little sketchy to him. And I followed (sometimes gotta let him take the lead all the way ). Anyways, we found Blue stone and once we walked in, I was greeted right away. It was a warm and cozy waiting room. She had hot chocolate, water, and snacks for guests. I filled out a simple health waiver and was directed back into my room. She had things set up and made me feel comfortable. Which was nice. I walked in there thinking my body felt ok, a little tensed in my shoulder and neck area but nothing major, to me. When my session started and as soon as she started working in my shoulder blades and neck area, yeah! A good hurt. It was really nice. But when she came down to my glute area and applied pressure with her knees....I did NOT KNOW I could feel that kind of "GOOD HURT!" The relief on my lower back when she did that, in my calves, and even my right knee (where it was sprained) holy crap! Yeah! That was really nice. When she started on my calves, she straight up said, "tell me what's going on." I wasn't sure if I should continue crying from my morning episode (I had a rough morning with a depression episode) and vent my whole life story to her or pretend like I was a sleep. She must've felt my energy and tension through my body. As I laid there and we exchanged words, I felt more and more confident in my choices. She was basically the confirmation I needed to "keep going". I've been blessed with a lot of strangers in my life especially during the "stormy times" but she is one I will never forget. I told her that I compose music and I led her to my Spotify album. She was very encouraging and uplifting. I highly recommend you get yourself a massage here. Not only does she help smooth and relax the body, you'll also leave there with a better outlook on whatever personal challenges you're facing in your life. THANK YOU!!!
