I had an epidural a couple of weeks ago, and had several unusual symptoms I had never experienced. I put THREE calls into his office regarding 3 unusual symptoms and got one call back handling only one of the symptoms. I called again at night so the medical assistant would call me first thing in the morning, saying I was still concerned about my symtpoms and wanting to see the doctor and NEVER got a call back! The medical assistant is the conduit between the patient and the doctor and his medical assistants is unprofessional and doesn't seem to care for Dr. Guinto's patients. I'm frustrated and disappointed.

They rescheduled me for a week after the priorly scheduled appointment. Then they called and left me a voicemail canceling that appointment. I called the office back and they said the next appointment was months out and they'd have 'Zoe' call me. Well I never got rescheduled and never got ahold of anyone. Still no follow up appointment months later. Honestly this place is the WORST office I've ever been to. I give up. You can BET they are calling me to pay my bill though, so that's lovely. Bottom line is they push hundreds of people in and out of this place and money is all they care about. ----------------------------------------------- I saw Dr. Guinto who seemed genuine and listened to my concerns. At my first visit I had to arrive an hour early where I then waited almost two hours to be called back into the room. I then got my MRI. MRI department was wonderful. No complaints there. I had some issues trying to determine why this doctor suddenly said out of network when a week earlier it said he was in network (my insurance ended up solving the issue). The office staff was of ZERO help. They have been so rude when I have called in. Now I'm trying to schedule a follow up appointment, and they are over a month and a half out AND do not care about working around your schedule. As much as I appreciated Dr. Guinto, I'm going to try to find another doctor and go here as an absolute last resort. I have a M-F job and cannot spend 3-4 hours total waiting to be seen by a doctor. It's very difficult to even get the time off for a visit as Is.

I have had a health issue since I was a child, and have been diagnosed with my medical condition, a diagnosis supported by several other doctors. He dismissed my medical issue and went about asking questions about my mental health for most of the appointment, something I don't have a problem with (again confirmed by other doctors). He tried very hard to ferret out some psychological issue for my health problems. When that failed he continued to dismiss my condition and decided I just needed to take yoga. He obviously didn't believe in my medical condition or try to understand it. For someone having to deal with a medical condition that affects my life, this is extremely painful and degrading. He did spend a decent amount of time with me, but most of that time was devoted to asking questions that weren't relevant. For the few questions that were relevant he usually cut me off when I was answering if what I was saying didn't fit into what he thought or believed. He, then, summarized everything on his tape recorder, which was a complete waste of time since he obviously disbelieved everything I said and hardly offered any advice. The advice he did give was completely inane and not something one would ever follow up on. If you are looking for a thoughtful, compassionate doctor who seeks to listen and understand and really help his patients, do not go to him!

About a month ago, he woke up, went to get out of bed and his legs just did not respond. This has been happening more and more frequently over the past 8 months. This time it reukted in a fall. I called this office and explained the situation and was told to go tonthe ER and that Dr. Taggard was on call there. So, we went. He was seen by Dr. Taggard first in the ER. His lumbar spine is progressively getting worse as verified by an MRI taken during his visit showing that the stenosis is now severe. They were going to take him to surgery, but someone messed up his dietary order and he had breakfast, then someone more acute came in and they decided to send him home. He followed up with his regularly scheduled appointment that hes waited 6months for. Dr walks in and essentially says , there's nothing he can do. End of consult. No explanation, no diagnosis, nothing..Just telling a man whose been unable to work, unable to do a lot of daily activities because of pain, sorry Charlie. Every other doctor hes been to has explained why or why not they can help. It just feels like he didnt want to be bothered. My husband felt like he was being treated dismissively and has been suffering from depression since this appointment. He's worried that his life is just going to be unending pain from now on. This type of bedside care is just uncalled for. He coukd have explained *why* surgery might not be appropriate and what might be better. He instead is referring him to another surgeon. What the heck? After being told to come to your office to retrieve my confidential MRI scans and reports that were brought to your office by myself on CD the girls at the front desk looked for them. Even through the 2 drawers of messily stored disks of other patients records thrown together behind your front counter.(I'll get back to this in a moment) "Heather" then came out of somewhere giving an explanation that completely contradicted what I was told before and also said "the discs are destroyed after copying them! Well then what were the 2 drawers of discs behind the counter? This frustrated her. She then passed the blame on a department at the center called "the file room". A phone number to which your less angry office staff gave me. Showing her I had this information seemed to confuse and irritate her. seeing the type of person I was dealing with I took the opportunity to challenge her ego in front of your staff allowing me to get a less obscured photo of her. It was easy to do since she was already out of control... she then retreated after seeing she was being memorialized and ordered the staff to call security. This was good as their report would help me to establish the date that I learned your office apparently mishandled and LOST my confidential medical information THIS IS A HIPAA VIOLATION! State and federal. As it was difficult for me to get these records being disabled I was not happy. But still, I waited patiently for security on the bench out front. He spoke with Heather(Karen) and informed me that I could no longer come to your office. Since your staff mishandles patient records like my own I was already of the mind to not return. They noted that your office DID NOT submit any forms required to release my records back to me. Nor did they have any records of receiving them. No digital copy made either. So in the interests of doing the right thing I've tried to get to the bottom of this with your office but your angry office Manager could not be bothered to perform her duties properly.
