I tried to call ahead of time (as I realized I would be late while driving) and nobody answered the phone number listed for the studio. Fine, I thought, I would just be a bit late and miss part of the class. I arrived at 9:40 and tried to open the door to the studio, but it was locked. Oh well -- I decided I'd stick around and talk to them in person afterwards to see if I could be honored coming to a different class in the future. After waiting an hour, I talked to the studio. I was told they got rid of their phone because nobody would answer it. They also did not explain their door locking policy (if I had known about it, I would not have bothered coming). Lastly, I was told they could not honor putting me in a different class because I had booked through class pass, but if I had a membership through the studio itself, they would be able to do that for me. This didn't make any sense to me. Finally, they told me I should purchase a membership, as if this whole experience would have inspired me to do such a thing. Since there are plenty of other studios in Pittsburgh, I'll save my money and go elsewhere.

Pros and Cons of the studio: Pros: -Very nice clean studio, fully equipped, new equipment (I didn't take a reformer class, so review is more for the TRX, weights, mats, etc). -Mary's Class was awesome, she totally kicked my butt the entire class. Felt stronger after her class Cons: -Website has very little information about attire for classes. I practice classic pilates twice a week in Dallas and not once have ever had to bring tennis shoes for a class. You need tennis shoes for the Kettle Ball/Pilates Class! Updates need to made to the schedule webpage that simply say "Tennis Shoes Required for this class." -Studio was really hot-the teacher was trying to lower the temp, but nonetheless I was still borderline about to pass out for the last 30 minutes of class. If this is your first time visit studio is on the second floor, some locals were able to point me in the right direction! Next time I am home I will take another class, but be more careful and call ahead about taking a traditional Pilates mat class instead.

If you don't pay on the 1st of the month, regardless of the day your child's class is on, you have to make an extra trip or else they charge you a $20 late fee. When I complained to the owner about paying a late fee because the teacher is habitually late, she wasn't cooperative and forced me to pay the fee. It seems hypocritical to pay a late fee when your only a day late, yet there are no repercussions for the teacher who is almost 20 minutes late everyday and wouldn't let the kids stay after to make up lost time. I have since taken my business elsewhere and wouldn't recommend anyone else to come here. Below I attached my response from the email I sent her. The first event I came to was the New Years party. The first couple of hours was partner dancing. You didn't need to bring a partner with you because everyone was really friendly, switching up partners throughout the night. People were willing to help you learn new moves if you don't know how to dance, too. The rest of the night was a free for all and had a fun variety of music to dance to. There were snacks, party favors and a live band. It was a great time! The second event I went to was just this past weekend. It was a 90's trivia night with a cash prize for 1st place and a 6 pack of zima for 2nd place, which fit perfectly into the theme. Everyone was encouraged to dress in their best 90's gear and the space had 90's themed snacks and music. Our team definitely lost, but we still had a good time! After the trivia, it was dance party time! There was a good mix of people of all ages. I would definitely recommend checking out the next event they have. You can tell the owner puts a lot of thought and care into her events.

For a six week class, the first three weeks felt very unorganized. I got the feeling that they'll admit however many students they can, regardless of how many they can actually handle. The business does not communicate well with parents about how they do things, which led to two of the classes disappointing my kid.
