I think it's unfair to rate places like Evviva the same way one might rate a typical "foodie" restaurant, so this review should be viewed relative to other chain, family-style restaurants. Evviva is spacious, service is fast, and food comes in generous portions. Three of us shared a roasted harvest salad, orecchiette, and a large hot honey pizza. A bit salty, oily, and overdressed, but the dishes were easily enough to fill all three of us and the food came out fast despite how surprisingly busy the place was on a random Tuesday night. Nice place for a family dinner or to meet with a big group of friends. We'll be back when the occasion calls for it because you know what you're going to get at this restaurant. read more

As for food, we had someone who is gluten free so they offer a separate menu, which I greatly appreciate. It's a full menu too, not just a few salads and such. They offer sandwiches on gluten free focaccia, meatballs, pasta, and such. We ordered the gluten free cheesy bread which was fine. Nothing remarkable. We also ordered the gluten free wings as appetizer. These were good. We ordered the bacon and Gorgonzola salad which was the best dish of the table. We came here for an after party from a tournament only reason giving three stars is because the waiter hustled they only gave us one waiter for twenty people which is absurd. Meals were forgotten appetizers and drinks were too. Management came out and tried to give a free entree instead of taking money off of our bill for forgetting entrees. I ordered the shrimp scampi lunch portion and my sister ordered the gnocchi lunch portion. The shrimp scampi was the perfect portion for me and there was probably like five shrimp or so! They didn't skimp on the shrimp which I really appreciate. The gnocchi looked good and my sister finished her dish and had no complaints. I expected the gnocchi florentine to have an abundance of flavor based off the ingredients, and it was disappointingly bland. I added on a side of meatballs which were extremely over seasoned and barely edible. The tiramisu was a redeeming factor as it was pretty good and quite large for the price. One of the best restaurant chains there is! Evviva never disappoints! They have a stellar menu with options for everyone. I have a hard time deviating from my favorite, the Evviva club sandwich, a sandwich of absolute perfection. You can't go wrong with the pizza here though. I've tried that as well, and it tastes as good as it looks. The portions will leave you full, which is unfortunately a bonus these days. The service is always outstanding here. I've been here on many occasions, and I've never had a bad waiter/waitress. My favorite time to go is in the summer when I can enjoy the outdoor seating. It was my Fiance and I's first time and we had Joe as a server. He was so nice, funny, a great server. I have gluten and dairy allergies and he was so good at accommodating me. The food was very good and the kitchen was good at working with my allergies. I spilled a drink and another staff member helped me pretty quickly. We ordered a group lunch from here for work--things were a bit slow, and a few orders were missing or mixed up, which was definitely a little frustrating. That said, the food itself was really good. I had the Italiano sandwich with chips (ordered a dip on the side that never showed up), but even without it, the sandwich and chips were both pretty good. The bread was soft, and the chips were nice and crunchy. I went back another day for dinner and had a much better experience. The eggplant fries were amazing--crispy, flavorful, and hard to stop eating. I also had the lasagna, which was comforting and delicious. Drinks were decent, too. I went to Evviva Trattoria while on a trip with a few others. We started off our meal by getting some Cheesy Garlic Bread and I got a house made lemonade with lavender. The gluten free cheesy bread was amazing! I was worried for a second that it wasn't gluten free. For an entree I got a gluten free pesto and it was great too. I did get worried because I found 2 normal noodles in the mix of penne pasta and I now think they were also gluten free since I didn't get sick but I wasn't sure while I was eating the food. I got a large bowl of the pesto pasta and I didn't end up finishing it all. The service was a little slow but the waiter was nice and the inside of the restaurant was as well. The parking lot does get packed because there are other restaurants around so we had to park further away from the restaurant. There was no taste of Marsala wine in the sauce. My family all ordered entrees that were good, not great. Prices were high. Our waitress, "potts," (on the receipt), was completely absent and inattentive. It took 10 minutes to get water and 7 for her to come get the card for the check. Mind you, she was not busy, but instead just talking to other coworkers throughout the restaurant. I don't know if we could have been any more obvious about our disappointment as we were clearly observed looking around for her at times, but even when she made eye contact, she didn't seem inclined to do anything differently. The food was absolutely delicious, I typically don't finish my food at restaurants because portions are so large but this time I ate everything but the plate! If I could give zero stars I would. I have celiac disease and we went here because they claim to have a commitment to safe dining. We arrived at 7;10 for a 7:15 reservation and we were sat at 7:48. Front of house was a disaster and lots of unhappy people waiting. I ordered from the GF menu and stated I have celiac and it is not a preference. The avocado toast (gf bread) came out with the allergy pick in it. The Caesar salad came out with the allergy pick in it. (The pick is like a large toothpick which has the word allergy on it) The salad had croutons which I thought was weird so we asked about it and waitress took it back and said "yeah. That wasn't gluten free". And before I could say a word rushed away. But by then I had eaten one of the pieces of the other dish. IT WAS NOT GLUTEN FREE. I don't even know what to say. And the manager also had no explanation. Now I will be ill all night and this is a MAJOR safety red flag. DO NOT expect compliance to any allergy protocols at this place. NOT safe and not a joke. Gf is not a preference for me. It is a legitimate allergy and very serious. I just hope I won't end up hospitalized. Again we come here for their supposed expertise in allergy awareness.
