Holy smokes... Tonight I enjoyed the best plain cheese pizza I've ever, ever eaten. And I'm old, and have been eating pizza for a long time. Now I've got this problem: there's one slice left. I was sorta planning on saving that one for my wife... Damn.

Hot Diavolo (really spicy) with sausage

I am going to take my time with this review, because it is the little things that sets Kindles apart. First, let me say that I have never been to Kindles before yesterday, so this is a fresh, unbiased, and objective review. I am working in Mansfield, which is about 40 minutes away from Marlborough. But I am not thrilled with the local options so I broadened my search for dinner last night. After looking at the photos and reviews, I had to take a drive to Kindles. When I arrived, I first saw the truly incredible pizza oven. It was stamped as authentic from Italy. Good start. Then, before I could make up my mind, the owner (Dave) engaged me in conversation and we started discussing what makes a great pizza. I felt great about my choice at this point, so I ordered the Diavola and added sausage. I thought that I would just grab my pie and go ... boy was I wrong. This is where Kindles separates themselves from everywhere else. Dave asked me if I wanted to watch my pizza bake. He said he cooks each pizza exactly as each customer wants their pie. One pizza at a time, no mass production. What followed was a 10 minute master class on how to properly bake a pizza in a wood fired oven. Dave explained to me how he uses the different sections of the oven at different times to get the exact pizza that was ordered. We talked about what sections of the oven to use and when, when to elevate the pie to "kiss" the sausage, how to address the liquid in the cherry peppers, when to add wood to get the exact conditions necessary. Now keep in mind, mine was the ONLY pizza in the oven even though Dave had other orders. He was meticulous! After the pie came out of the oven he asked me when and how I was going to eat my pie ... as it makes a difference as to when he cut the pizza (reminded me of Amazing Pizza in Salem where Nancy used to send me off with a pizza cutter that I had to return). The quality of the ingredients is obviously top shelf. They make their sausage in house and everything else is only the best. I have met a few true masters of the art of pizza making ... Francesco Colletti (Colletti's), Chris Bianco (Pizzeria Bianco), Dom Demarco (Di Fara) and Mark Iacono (Lucali). I can now add Dave to this list. I also met his lovely daughter who showed as much passion for the business as her father. If you want a completely unique experience, and a world class pizza, this is the place. Take my advice, talk to Dave ... I had a great time. I asked him when I was leaving when he worked as I wanted to return when Dave was there. He indicated that he makes ALL the pizzas and nothing leaves his oven without his ok. One in a million! See you soon Dave! Great pie!

This was the 2nd pizza place I tried, the first one is closed until 9/3. I found this on Yelp! as I was passing through. As soon as I entered the cashier directed me to their specialty pizzas. I got a number six kindle special it was really good. The two people working were very friendly. I will stop by again the pizza was good Hot, warm and cold.

Went here for the first time yesterday since I was looking for something different for my pizza and I was not disappointed. Went with my friend and we both loved the pizza. We got a cheese and it was very well balanced between the cheese and sauce. The owner was super nice and walked us through how the pizza was made. I could not decide between the thin or double thick trust so I went with the thin and while I liked it a lot, I'll try the double thick next time to compare. But the pizza was a 9/10 and its the first time me and my friend ever got a pizza and finished the whole thing, that is how light and good the pizza was. Will def. put this on my pizza rotation for marlboro. The customer service from the owner was a 10/10. He wanted to make sure we both happy with our order and we were. Can't wait to go back.

The pizza is very good. We had the Special extra crispy. Just don't use Grub Hub for delivery. I live 4 miles away, my order was ready for delivery (according to receipt) at 5:15pm and Grub Hub delivered stone cold food (in a wet box like they dropped it) at 6:30pm. Again, yes order delicious pizza from Kindles. Don't use Grub Hub!

Pick-up is super easy and very quick. Staff were wearing masks and were nice and happy! Even in a snowstorm right before the Super Bowl! Direct from their website, I ordered online the Napoli Toscano ( garlicky and broccoli) and I checked off NO garlic. I know, I know, GARLIC is in the name but I was afraid it would be too garlicky. An employee ended up calling me a few minutes later to verify this on my order. We talked it out and he said he would go light on the garlic and the parm/garlic cream swirl. I added eggplant as well. The eggplant was sliced perfectly thin and seared while beautifully tucked under the right amount of cheese and red sauce. The broccoli was minced and sprinkled throughout the pizza like an extra coating of cheese. Every single bite was a happy mix of cheese, broccoli, sauce, garlic, eggplant, pepper and a crispy but soft crust. It was freakin delicious!! My husband got the chicken bacon ranch pizza and his response was "Amazing, so flavorful, chicken was so fresh and juicy... hurry up the game is starting....!" He loved it!! Great pregame meal!! Highly recommend Kindles Wood Fire Pizzeria! Definitely not your typical pizza!! Try it right now!!

Ordered 3 pizzas, the one not pictured was the Hawaiian pizza. Overall would give it a 3.5 but I rounded up. I consider myself an open foody, and I cook a lot at home. I would rather have my own pizza but for all the work I wanted to try something new. I am happy to try the other flavors! 5 to me means the place is beyond goood. I would've given the business a 4 however the flavors didn't hit the mark for me for the pie prices (about $54). Here's a breakdown: Buffalo chicken - The cheese overpowered the meat and sauce. It was still delicious but I was looking for more of the Buffalo chicken vibe not so much the blue cheese dip Hawaiian pizza - I actually don't really like HP but my darling wanted it so I got it. He wasn't a fan because the apple bacon really stood out. I think this was the best Hawaiian pizza so just going to show how it's all perspectives. If you're going for the traditional Hawaiian pizza maybe just ask for that. I thought it was good tho! Unsure of name - the other pizza was decent but not entirely memorable. Hearty and a good combination of flavors between the basil chicken and balsamic. If you're still reading you're probably still considering this place - and I say GO FOR IT! Service was prompt and seamless (I didn't have special requests). There were signs online that said you must bring cash with exact change. When I got there, the girl who came outside to greet me asked if I needed change- so I was kinda confused to say the least but no worries I'm happy to give tips to support the business! My best wishes to the business- I'll be back at least a couple more times this year if covid permits!

Some of the best pizza you will find in New England! PROS: The variety of pizza is just short of overwhelming! So many hand crafted pizza options, with tasty combos for toppings. I had trouble deciding because everything was looking so good. The staff was super nice. They were cooking right there in the oven, in the same room you sit in. It's cool to see it come out and right to your table. The pizza was all amazing and they have a selection of beers/cider and a color with craft sodas. If this place was closer, I'd go there three times a week. CONS: It's far from me. :) OVERALL: Yes, do visit this place. The toppings were so great. I recommend the meatball and ricotta. SO delicious.

Drove 45 min to this place because of the 4.5 star rating. Place is small & cozey & clean. The man their which I think was the owner super friendly. We got the house special, was nice and thin very tasteful. My only complaint is there's so many pizzas listed on their wall it's hard to pick one.

    Jen S.

The owner is super friendly here, and I would encourage take out vs dine in. Ambiance is underwhelming and I wasn't sure where to get plates, silverware or napkins. I like the charred crust, but my pizza didn't have any support near the middle...Ie: you grab a slice by the crust and it flops down under the weight of the toppings. Would've liked crispier. Crust tasted good though. Also felt like the toppings could've been a bit more cooked through. I'll try it again, but a bit longer in the oven please

Separately, each sandwich is around $10 and onion rings are $6.50, so the combo is a ridiculous deal. The onion rings are also a HUGE bag so definitely worth the money. For my 2 sandwiches, I got the Honey Kluck Grilled Sandwich and Tang-Go Kluck Sandwich and both were great. The fried chicken here doesn't really feel like fast food - it feels like real chicken meat that isn't greasy at all. The seasoning is good and the sauces are great too. Even the buns felt like good quality! Of the two sandwiches, I preferred the Honey Kluck Grilled Sandwich but both were top tier. The honey sandwich had honey mustard sauce and veggies with a nicely grilled piece of chicken on it. The balance of flavors and fresh veggies with the flavorful chicken was just perfect. 5/5 for sure. The Tang-Go Kluck Sandwich was also very good with a tangy sauce coupled with cheese and pickles. The fried chicken on this was crispy and full of flavor without feeling unhealthy. I would have liked a few more veggies on here, but it was still a solid sandwich. The onion rings were SO CRISPY too. And the bag was huge - probably at least a full onion. The fact that if you ordered 2 sandwiches and onion rings separately, it would cost about $26 but the combo is only around $17 is great value. The food doesn't feel like fast food, and I was completely full after eating the meal. 5/5 would definitely return!

I got the wings bone in with sweet chili and garlic buffalo. Really nice cook on the wings, but the garlic buffalo is way more garlic than one would presume so I just took them home and put more buffalo on them and that balanced them out really well. They have really good ranch. They also serve blue cheese. They do celery and carrots. I also got my husband some to go wings that they serve by the half pound when they're boneless and so he got a pound and a half and so every half pound you get a sauce option so he got three different sauces and he got the garlic buffalo also another one I can't think of right now and then he got this balsamic fig! It was the most interesting experience I've probably ever had on a piece of chicken was very, very good. There's street parking I don't think they have a parking lot but it's a small space. Honestly they probably do a lot of carry out just because I'm presuming only about 15 to 20 people could actually sit in the restaurant, but the quality of the chicken was really really high it wasn't that busy so the service was good That's it.
