    Excellent service and resolved a huge problem we had with the power steering lines. Reasonable prices and not out to rip you off.

I spoke with Joseph and told him about my cars AC: I let…read morehim know it stopped working and that I had gone to auto zone to get the refrigerant but I didn't know if I was doing it right. He told me to come in and he would try to help. When I got there Alberto checked my car for any leaks in the compressor, attached the refrigerant I had purchased and got my AC working within 5 minutes. I went back inside all excited that I didn't have to live without AC this summer and asked Joseph how much I owed him. He said nothing cause it didn't take long at all and I am just so grateful for honest to goodness nice people and I will now go to AAMCO for all my cars needs. It was very evident that he was not just in it to make a sale, but truly helped me weigh the pros and cons of whether or not to go ahead with the repair. As I planned to search for a used vehicle, both Dave and Alberto offered to check out the car before I made a purchase. Truly above and beyond!     I went to get an oil change and I was told that I needed a cabin filter and an air filter. I was…read morecharged 140 for the two filters. I was in shock at how expensive they were and agreed to pay for them. While waiting, I checked online and could have purchased both at auto zone for $60! I felt that the manager could have had the courtesy of recommending I look elsewhere and given me the option. Most of us are struggling financially and he could have been a bit more thoughtful to that. They just want to overcharge everyone and make the money for the company. I will never buy my filters from any auto/mechanic shop again nor will I ever use Meineke again. What should've cost me $89 for an oil change cost me 235 walking out the door. I was beyond upset and feel like a fool for being taken advantage.

I made an appointment at my local mieneke in Manchester CT to have looked at and possibly replaced . I made the appointment for yesterday 1/19 as I had the time. I got there for my appointment a few minutes early... it looked closed but the door was opened... I went in and advised the older gentleman behind the counter that I had a 9 am appointment... His reply to me was " yeah you and everybody else" he asked me to give him a couple of minutes to get situated, to which I did with no problem. He asked my name and looked up my issue as I had made an online appointment. He asked if I was dropping off my car and I advised no I would stay ... He said he was short handed and it would be about 3 hrs... I was fine with that but he advised that I rescheduled, to which I did... My problem comes with all the attitude I received... I get we had just had a snowstorm on Sunday and Monday was a holiday and he was short staffed and frustrated and overwhelmed to which I understand perfectly but he just didn't seem to want to deal with me. My main issue here is lack of customer service... I didn't feel like he wanted my business or valued my time, as I made an appointment etc nor did he value me as a customer... I think due to this experience I may look at other shops to assess and fix my issue. I am not taking my time and my business somewhere where I am not valued. I have had work done here before and have never had any issues. again I realize everyone has bad days but....
