The work has always been done correctly and at a fair price. Jeremy and Geena are easy to deal with and they can usually fit me into their very busy schedule. I recently had the front end of my 2016 Honda Accord inspected after replacing my tire. Jeremy reported that the struts were original and worn but not blown or leaking. Although replacement was not absolutely necessary, he noted doing so could improve ride quality and handling. I opted for the improved handling. He also reported that the front brakes were causing shimmy so I followed his recommendation and replaced the pads and rotors. We've taken both of our cars here for a while for maintenance and repairs - one car is relatively new and one is pretty old, both Hondas. The dealership was so overpriced and this shop was on a list of recommended shops from the the guys from Car Talk on NPR. What a great find! They are very friendly and courteous here and we feel the prices are fair. Unlike the dealership, they do not find extra things to fix - they simply figure out what the problem is and tell us what needs to be done. If something is optional, they explain that it is optional and that we could skip it for now if we want. Recently, both of our cars needed help during the same week. One needed new brake pads and the other had a broken timing chain. It was such a relief to know that we had a local shop we could rely on. Ex-Per Tech was able to take care of both cars within a few days so we only needed a rental car for one day. We highly recommend this shop. read more

I had previously been bringing my 98 Altima to Ex-Per Tech a few years ago. The car has since gone to that big garage in the sky but I digress. I had a problem with my front wheel bearing and needed new brakes. I was quoted some, what I thought, really high prices for just the wheel bearing work and decided to call them up and see what they could do. Gina answered the phone and was amazingly polite and friendly. She gave me a price that was significantly less expensive than the other places and said I could bring the car in the next day. I made an appointment and that was that. I arrived first thing and Jeremy greeted me and even remembered me from my old car. My SUV (Chevy Equinox) was brought right in and put up on the lift and my suspicions on what was wrong were confirmed. Jeremy and his staff worked really hard to try and resolve the problem my car was giving them and in the end found a solution that was not only less expensive but that made me feel safe and win my business. I was talked to throughout the process and given a couple of additional recommendations for my car. The care and time they took to explain everything and not treat me like a girl made me feel really great. My coworkers were so impressed with everything they did that they've now decided to bring their vehicles there. Glad to be back under the Ex-Per Tech family. Outstanding shop. Had my 2003 Mitsubishi Evo VIII worked on there. Jeremy and the Team did the $120K mile timing belt, tensioner and water pump replacement. While there, I had them replace the oil pan, gas tank and filler neck (car was throwing evap system code) and brake line due to extensive rust (That's what 16 winters in CT snow and salt will do). This place gets 0 stars. I was referred here by a friend. At first I was very happy with the services. I moved to Arizona a few days ago from CT and needed my AC system replaced. I have a 2007 Mazdaspeed3 that needed a new air conditioning system - pullies and all. Jeremy advised on the price differences for getting used parts vs new parts so me being a struggling young adult in their 20's went with used. Everything seemed to work fine. It started to blow hot air again so I made an appointment to bring it back in. This is in the midst of getting ready for my move. During this time my serpentine belt also started to go but I knew I could get this replaced in AZ - now, a symptom of this is loss of AC functions - that's super important here. It started working again the day before I was supposed to bring it in so to save every one time and money I canceled the appointment - maybe that's where I went wrong - or maybe it was just coming here in the first place. The day after my car arrived to AZ (it was shipped, so no new miles were put on any of the parts) it started blowing hot air. I brought the car in to a Mazda dealership ( apparently should've just done this to begin with) and the belt needed replacing (knew that) ALONG WITH THE ENTIRE AC UNIT. I called Jeremy - "well, you're in AZ so I'm not going to fly there to fix it. Only thing I can do is get a new used part shipped to you." HOW ABOUT YOU REFUND ME THE $750 I PAID YOU TO FIX THE PROBLEM? Mazda sent me pictures. The compressor is very old and rusted out - which again, used part, I get it, but Jeremy, how about you AS A TRUSTED MECHANIC think about something like that? I told you I was moving. Did you not think "hmm maybe this is going to fail on her?" I spent $750 for a half @$$ job on a job that could've just costed me $1200 which I'm now paying in full. To be done correctly. At the dealership. Do not come here unless you want to pay for the same problem twice. Terrible customer service. I'll be writing reviews on every site I can possibly find. read more

Super friendly.. didn't try to fix anything I didn't need.. I was told by my dealership weeks prior that I needed a wheel bearing done, so that was the initial reason for visit - in addition, my car had begun stalling randomly.. I couldn't explain it all too well - or pinpoint it - but Jeremy figured out the cause and handled both repairs for an extremely reasonable price. They tell you how it is, even when I've moved 45 minutes away I call them still to see if I'm getting a fair shake with other places. This was my first visit after several good recommendations from close friends and family. I can't say enough about how I was treated by owner Jeremy and Gina. He explained what I needed (brakes front and back) and that the rotational noise I was hearing was not wheel bearing noise but the tires. I was glad I didn't have to have any wheel bearing work done. I can live with the tire noise until I have to replace the tires. The price was reasonable and his mechanics are top notch.
