Today being May 28th of 2026 I brought my 2006 Dodge Dakota pickup truck into the garage I dealt with Tom the owner at the counter he was very professional had a great knowledge of the automotive industry even had a great sidekick his dog they brought my truck in they gave it a once over they confirmed what I already knew and the suspicions wrong with the vehicle they didn't try to con me into any any side job or any work that wasn't needed I appreciate their honesty their loyalty and they have a future customer in me and I can say honestly I'm one hard person to satisfy and the performance the professionalism that they displayed has got me giving them five stars excellent service read more

Tom is friendly, fast, honest, and does great work. I know nothing about cars and have brought my car in several times, expecting to need large repairs from googling the issues--but each time Tom has figured out it's not the expensive issues I thought when he could have just charged me for that! Tom is absolutely amazing! I moved up here and was in need of a good trustworthy mechanic, and he's definitely it! After a towing company broke parts of my car, Tom fixed it free of charge even after I tried offering to pay! He communicates great and through call or text, whichever you prefer! They treated me like family. I came in and they said help yourself to hot chocolate, coffee, or tea not only that but my wife made chicken and rice and if you don't want it now you can take it to go. Tupperware was provided and he showed me to the kitchen. The check in process was painless and overall had a good experience with the customer service. My car feels and sounds great. I was so lucky to go to Tyrol Automotive. It was recommended by a friend from my senior exercise class. Tom is the terrific owner/mechanic of the garage. He had the mechanics check out and diagnose my problem with the A/C . Which got fixed . He also had them do a 36 point safety check......I walked out feeling a whole lot better than when I walked in. 5 isn't enough stars on here for these guys. These are good, honest mechanics. They won't sell you on things you don't need, will discuss what's going on, the implications, and be fair on price. These guys are like a jack of all trades, master of ALL. Significantly less pricey than some other places too. Last time I was here, it was less than the estimate too. Obviously nobody likes to spend money on auto repair but here you can trust that you got a good value, quality work, and support an honest small family business. read more

I have had the worst luck with tyro he put in parts that were wrong parts and they only lasted a day and then broke apart and he said he would reorder more parts and never did the job and I had to go to Scranton motors to have them redo the work that tyro was suppose to do and I was charge double for the work that he was suppose to take care of and now I have a bill worth seven thousand dollars of bills because of tyro automotive and I would not recommend his shop to any one. read more

The owner Tom and his team at Tyrol automotive are great. First of all, he is friendly and approachable and is great about informing you about what the problem is with your car and consulting you about your options for fixing or living with the problem. I've been to Tom several times and each time I feel like he is on my side as the car owner. If there is a way for me to save money, like getting a used part, or living with an issue for a bit longer, he has told me. He's had many opportunities to suggest additional work, but when something is OK, he's told me. He also does great oil changes. He keeps the used oil and uses it for heating his business, so your motor oil gets recycled and he uses this benefit to give you a low cost oil change. After trying several mechanics in East Hartford and Manchester, I found Tom and will continue to use him for all my auto mechanic needs. I highly recommend him. read more
