Long story short, I didn't feel confident with that dentist's suggestion of treatment based on a glance in my mouth and no reference to my X-ray (at least). It's difficult to find a dentist one can really put their trust in Chandra, the dental assistant @ The Lewisville Dentist used xrays, color images (what a difference THAT made for me to see for myself what was going on!) and other tests to detect my problem. She explained everything prior to proceeding (as did Dr Goodman). Both Dr Goodman and her staff were engaging and did everything to make me feel comfortable In every way. Dr Goodman was profesional, yet funny! She gave her diagnosis and let me decide how I wanted to proceed. Her pricing was good, (not high like some others!), for the crown that I needed. I decided to move forward and they took care of me that day! I knew I'd found myself out new family dentist, who just happens to be 15 min from out home. I'd highly recommend The Lewisville Dentist/Dr Natalie Goodman as a professional, caring, reasonably priced, family dentist.

Dr Murad takes time to carefully explain everything before beginning. The office staff, including iris , go the extra mile to help with insurance and answer questions and provide needed paperwork for reimbursement for FSA. All of the staff, including Dr Murad, are friendly and caring. Our family is so thankful we found an excellent, friendly, trustworthy practice!

In 2016, I came in because I needed to have several teeth pulled and I spoke with the female dentist there about dental implants. I wanted dental implants because I have only heard negative things about dentures. The dentist proceeded to talk me out of the implants and into dentures because they were cheaper and she promised she would make sure they would fit so I would be happy with them. I trusted that and decided to go ahead. I received my dentures approximately 6 weeks later and was happy with how they looked. They were very pretty, and they did fit well when I left that day. Unfortunately, it was near impossible to eat with them and they stretch out very quickly so you have to use more and more adhesive and/or go back in and have them tightened up. I made do though since I had already invested in them. Then in October 2021, I was out of town at my daughter in law's wedding and on the way out of the hotel, somewhere between the hotel and the car, my dentures must have fallen out of my bag because when I got home, I could not find them anywhere. They never showed up in the hotel's lost and found, so I made an appointment to get a replacement for the top denture. I came in and saw a male doctor this time and he was extremely nice and had me fixed up in no time. He ordered a new top plate and he told me it would be about 2-3 weeks before they came in. He sized my mouth at that time and I was under the impression that what I was picking up in 2-3 weeks was the actual denture. I may have misunderstood but at that time, I was certain that's what I was told. In 2 weeks, I received a call from the office that my dentures were in. That was the message I got "Your dentures are here and please make an appointment to come in to make sure they fit". I made the appointment and when I got there, the female dentist was there and told me that what they had was the wax denture and she was going to make sure they fit and then order the denture. I never saw this denture that "came in" since I had already picked out the color shade and gotten fitted. I asked to see them and was told no. Then they made the front office person come and apologize to me for misinforming me. I do not believe she misinformed me. She told me the same thing the male dentist told me and I was expecting to leave that day with my replacement dentures. The female dentist then made impressions with the putty (was this not what they were telling me had come in?) to size them and sent those off with a brand new order. The dentures she ordered took another 3-4 weeks to come in with the wax plate and then 8 weeks (I work from home so the teeth issue wasn't that critical except when I had online meetings). When they finally came in, they were huge. They look like horse's teeth and are way too big for my mouth. The other dentist had to use a child's template because of my small mouth. The color was wrong on them as well. I had ordered a bright white and they were a dingy white. I was told if I changed the color, it would be yet another 8 weeks. It was their mistake! I was not happy at all. There was no filing down the top gum of the denture and nothing other than putting them on and I was told I could leave. The gum part of the plate is too tall and makes it hard to close my mouth without looking like I have a mouthful of something. I had to pay out $400 for this top plate denture that was not what I ordered and was/is way too big for my mouth. I don't know what kind of office issues are going on there, but I was blatantly lied to about the order process and it seems the dentists were having a battle of the ego. The young lady who sits at the front window and the one who called me is not at fault and I resent the fact that she was forced to apologize for doing something she was told to do. Whatever happened to what is best for the patient? I now am going to look for a dentist who will listen to me and at least let me know if I am still a good candidate for dental implants. I just hope there is no bone loss that will require additional surgery and costs that I wouldn't have had if I'd gotten what I wanted earlier. Great Expressions advertises for dental implants, but they sure aren't behind selling them. I won't be back to Great Expressions.

They took my X-rays & told me I had pressure on my teeth and needed an expensive custom night guard - I do not grind my teeth nor do I have any such issues & I asked if I could use an OTC night guard & they said their expensive custom option was much longer lived though they refused to estimate the difference or the life length of the custom option or explain why it was better. I've never had such a thing recommended. Next, Dr. Natalie Lesnikovskaya said I have advanced gingivitis based on a cursory 5 min exam. This has never come up, even a few months ago at another Great Expressions location, I was told I had no cavities & this dentist told me I had 3+ "terrible cavities we need to address today". She also told me that I needed a replacement for my 'leaky crown' - thing is, I do not have a crown. I have a filling, only one that is not white but she didn't seem to understand. They gave me multiple thousand dollar 'treatment plans' to address concerns I did not have plus a $600, 3 appointment plan to 'cure my terrible gingivitis'. As I was waiting for the dentists 'manager' to explain the possible thousands of dollars I could 'pick one option between the two' of, she asked me to sign all these forms - each listed me as the guarantor. While I was waiting (it was about 9:15 am at this stage & I'd been there since 8 am. I was able to hear other patients getting told about night guards & their gingivitis. This just felt like an outright scam. I paid my copay for this appointment while not even receiving the promised cleaning. I was called & told I will also need to pay for the non-covered dental cancer screening for $29. While receiving this screening (using a light), Dr Natalia Lesnikovskaya told me I really need to stay out of the sun because my skin looks 'bad'. I was truly taken aback by the constant unprofessionalism throughout this experience. I am worried they are scamming people. I refused to sign the papers (the 'manager' of the dentist said they were "not contracts, just agreements?" where I was listed as the guarantor) & was then told to meet her at the front desk where I paid my copay & then left. I spoke to others in the field & it seems this place is well-known already.

It was…read morewhen I had to have any procedure above, where it was evident the staff and Dr. Deore have very limited potential. My first unpleasant experience was when I had a cap done on a molar. During the procedure the nerve was not "deadened" enough! I screamed in pain and was very upset! I was given another shot in the area, but it was a horrible experience! (Let me put my pain threshold in perspective, I motocrossed for over 23 years and broke the following (collar-bone, left-wrist navicular, L5-Lumbar vertebrae). That pain was an 11 out of 10! My last experience was choosing to opt to do a composite veneer on my top-left-front tooth which was chipped (I chose this option because it was not covered by my insurance). To be fair, I was really happy right after the procedure of the whole process and result. However, within 2 weeks, while eating a "chicken wing", the veneer broke off, and I was able to save the broken veneer. She did replace the veneer, but not before requiring me to spend an additional un-insured night-time mouth guards. This requires taking molds using a template of the upper jaw and bottom jaw. The templates used during my visit had a "very hard" outer edge. I have "Mandibular Tori" and when the assistant was setting it, the pain was incredible. When I left, I was bleeding from the cut of the mold edge. I paid out-of-pocket for the procedure and molds of over 300 dollars! Dr.Deore and staff scheduled a procedure to replace the veneer at no cost. Within 3 months, the veneer started showing a yellow line where the tooth meets the chipped edge of the veneer! I do not smoke! I drink green tea everday and brush 3-times a day. I do not know where the doctor purchases her products, but I will state this, with conviction, avoid "Coppell Smiles" outside of scheduled cleanings.

I logged in early Sunday morning and had 5 time slots to choose from for the emergency appointment, to include the very first of the morning! The Process: (For those of you who want to know what you're walking into, are on the fence about going back to the dentist after bad situations, or are a bored voyeur looking for a glimpse of a random Yelper's experience.) I entered into a very clean, comfortable, and welcoming waiting room I was promptly greeted by the receptionist, Crystal, and the office manager, Kelly. Crystal handed me the new patient forms. Kelly, Crystal and I chatted while I filled out the paperwork. They treated me more like a family member than just a client. Denise took me to the room and I put down my belongings. She lead me to a state of the art x-ray machine and took the first set of x-rays. Another set of x-rays were taken. She offered me water before the doctor came in. She, too, was very friendly and was good conversation. Dr. Haghi came in and we discussed the results of the treatment options and settled on a treatment plan. She listened to my concerns and didn't (like every dentist I've been to before) talk down to me or demand I do what she said because she was the expert. Crystal came back and discussed my treatment plan and the associated costs. She explained that I could apply for CareCredit (if my credit was good enough) and we discussed the different ways the payments could be broken up. I needed a deep cleaning and she allowed me to choose whether or not to break it up into two appointments or get it over with in one. I was grateful to have the option to get it over with in one pop. Denise came in and put a small mask over my nose to administer the nitrous oxide and gave me a blanket. (I don't care how old I get; if you offer me the comfort of a blanket, I will take it!) Kevin, the hygienist, was very attentive during the deep cleaning and was very careful not to hurt me. He allowed me breaks for enough time to cough (I'm a mouth breather who clearly thinks I'm part fish and that I'll do okay aspirating water. That folks, is 100% my fault and 0% Kevin's fault.) After the cleaning, he took more x-rays and showed me that he actually did get all the gunk out from under the gum line. He scheduled me for my free one month follow up, gave me my "goody bag" of dental items, educated me on how to better maintain my mouth at home, and suggested products that are conveniently sold there at the office for a very fair price. I opted to get a tooth extracted. Denise assisted Dr. Haghi in the process. I think the shots to help numb the area were worse than getting the tooth pulled. The tooth extraction took about five minutes. The doctor consulted me on what I normally take for pain; wrote a prescription for mouthwash, antibiotics, and my pain medication. Denise administered oxygen for five and I chilled out to the streaming music in the office. I went up front and paid. My ride hadn't gotten there. So I had a chat with Crystal and Kelly until my ride showed.

Today, however I was surprised with an entirely unexpected event.  I was refused a cleaning because I did not want x-rays.   To clarify the "why"... my wife and kids have had appointments in the last 2 weeks and my wife requested no x-rays because this office is relocating requiring us to find another Dentist.  She did not want to get x-rays knowing that many Dentists try to get "new patient x-rays" when you are new to an office.  Dr Maxwell gave us no notice of a pending move during our visits 6 months ago.  So when my wife arrived for the recent cleanings she was informed they were moving she asked they not do x-rays.  Interesting part of the story is the Dr still allowed my wife and kids to get their cleanings.   Now to my visit today.  When I informed the hygienist that I would not be getting x-rays, she informed me that if I am not getting x-rays she was not going to clean my teeth and I could leave.  I was shocked at first and didn't know exactly what to do other than leave. The conversation was that quick and to the point, I was not given conversation or options. I thought this employee may have "gone rouge" and I decided to call back to the office and inform them of this.  I also wanted to make sure they did not attempt to bill me for a cancellation.   Keep in mind there was a 20 minutes gap between my departure and my phone call.   I reached someone at the desk and they were very familiar with what occured.  I was 1st told it is state regulation that patients recieve annual x-rays and that Doctor made an exception for my wife and kids.  When I repeated back to the employee exactly what she was saying about it being law and that I intend to verify this.  She then changed the story to insurance liability reasons and that the Doctor could make an exception based on my medical history.  I asked why did the hygienist not have any dialogue about medical history as a consideration?  Or consult with the Dr?  I reminded the person on the phone I am 48 years old, never had braces, only one incident of a "sticky pit" and never even a cavity.  I am not a patient that needs frequent x-rays and if the Doctor made an exception for my family why not me.  The office person kept interupting me attempting to justify why they could refuse treatment to protect their liability.  She only listened when I informed her that intend to post my concerns on social media sites because they "cancelled" my appoitment with no cause.  She then said, if you come back right now we will clean your teeth.  At this point I am 25 minutes South on the toll-way and told her if they want to make it right help me reschedule this week.  I said call me or text me with options for cleanings today and I will see what I can do to come in.  Btw, Doctors are not the only busy people. I never received a call back, thus I am doing what I said I would do.  At first I thought this may have been a rouge employee, but now I recognize this is a lack of respect for their patients to decide their own level of care.
