We are nervous homeowners. We took off work to be there. Unlike other construction we have used, Creative has only ONE crew that installs. That weight is on the ONE foreman who will have to take off work unexpectedly. No one showed. #2 - Calls the day of. We were called the morning of and asked "Can they come today?" We felt this "same day" scheduling was very erratic, compared to what we experienced with this company before. #3 - Customers - mark your wires and inform your adjuster. Your buried internet and automower wires are not marked by the Utility company. Inform your adjuster so he/she can help you get these marked. The 3-star rating was a 1-star. The company took time to speak with us about the issues, so we are showing some teamwork. Gary has been there for decades and knows his stuff. The management here - doesn't have time for conversation or empathy. They will throw the paper work back in at you, and you can see that response in their comments to reviews here. Sometime everything legal isn't moral/correct. We aren't sure we will use them again. It just seems sloppy and unorganized for our type of property ownership. I'm sure it would work great for other types of homeowners.

I decided to go ahead and signed a contract and scheduled the work. The work was completed in a reasonable amount of time, however this is about all that went well. The fence was installed very sloppily with several issues. I immediately tried to resolve these issues with creative deck design, however they argued and refused to do anything. They will not stand by their work at all, and will instead insist that it was the best that they can do. Eventually the issues were resolved with my fence, after several months repeatedly asking them to resolve the issues. However I can't give any better review because these issues should have never been there in the first place. Additionally when if issues did arise, they should have been addressed rather than trying to avoid fixing it. For anyone else considering this company, please read the reviews and pay attention to the bad reviews. There is a common theme amongst all of them, these aren't just bad reviews from people not getting their way. I've also put two pictures of their workmanship up, it will speak for itself.

We initially planned to just have the deck resurfaced, I reached out to six difference contractors to get quotes. Of those six John (the owner) was the only one to come out and truly inspect the existing structure. He gave an honest assessment of my current deck and frame, which wasn't up to code. He explained that the old frame while not up to code would probably be safe if we chose to simply resurface it and offered options to reinforce the existing structure without completely replacing it. He put together three different plans so I could evaluate all options; resurfacing the existing structure, reinforcing and resurfacing the existing structure, and demolishing completely and replacing the deck. His price to resurface the deck was very competitive with the other companies, but his willingness to take a little bit of extra time and educate us on different options was greatly appreciated. There was no pressure to go with one option over another and he took time to make sure we understood the pros and cons of each option. We decided to have the old deck torn down and replaced. John obtained all the permits and helped us get approval from our HOA for the changes. His team had our old deck torn down and our new deck completed in less than a week. The amount of work done in such a short period of time was amazing. The quality was everything we expected and more. John and his entire crew were friendly and professional giving us updates along to way so we always knew what to expect. Our old deck had a bit of bounce when you walked from one side to the other, the new deck feels sturdy with every step. The finished product is beautiful and we've been enjoying our deck ever since. We contracted Winkler Deck and Fence to replace 4 gates and perform minor repairs on our existing…read morefence after receiving a referral. The initial engagement with the owner Curt was pleasant, the quote we received was reasonable, and the job started 8 weeks after we signed the contract. Unfortunately, that's where the good ended... On the day of the job, the crew didn't let us know they were onsite, which wasn't a good start. Then after the work was completed they left without notifying us that the job was done nor doing a walkthrough with us. The next day we looked over the work and noticed that two of the installed gates were not level and were substantially tilted to one side. We contacted their office manager, Tammy, who stated that the owner Curt would stop by the following day to review the issues. Curt was a no-show and after following up with Tammy she stated he would stop by the next day instead. He was again a no-show. We once again followed up and asked for a specific day and time that they would come out so that we didn't have to miss work again and never received a response... The following weekend Curt finally showed up unannounced and without notice and never apologized for the no-shows. He then immediately asked in a defensive tone "What's your problem with the gates?". We explained the issue and he tried to blame it on the previous fence builder. We stated that the previous gates were level and installed correctly and he replied "Well then what do you expect, this was a repair job". Uh ok... I expect properly built and installed gates, per our contract. He finally agreed that one of the gates should be rebuilt after initially denying it had issues and said he would try to reposition the other gate to reduce the slant, but he clearly was not happy about doing the work. Also, after providing feedback on the crew's disappearing act he stated "We have bigger jobs than this that are more important". When I stated I couldn't recommend them to others due to their lack of customer service, he walked off and barked "We have plenty of other work in this area so I'm not worried about it". Wow... A simple apology would have gone a long way... Ultimately they did fix the gates and followed up to see if we were satisfied. However, based on our overall experience I would not recommend this company due to their lack of basic customer service, lack of basic respect for their customers, and shoddy workmanship. Also, they clearly don't value smaller jobs, which is a bad move on their part because they lost future business with me as well as my neighbors who asked about my experience.

It was an easy process and I trusted AGS from the start. They have a large showroom of slabs of granite, quartz, etc. Who knew there were so many shades of white? About a week after ordering, Luke made a home visit to measure the vanity, etc. In no time, the countertop was ready to be installed. The work crew arrived and got right to work. I was shocked that they were so fast and efficient. Everyone from the front desk to the installers were professional and kind. I highly recommend AGS.

They have done windows and siding for us. The windows were first. It took forever for the windows…read moreto arrive because of an ordering snafu. The windows arrived, and when unloading the bow window (which was quite heavy and large), they almost dropped it, and put a small dent in the bottom edge, it isn't fixable. Nothing that interferes with the structural integrity of the window, but it is noticeable if you look right at it. When installing the bow window, they damaged some of the stone wall it rested on. In fairness, the stone had some minor damage before they did anything, but after the window was installed, it had to be repaired. We had to get another company to fix the stonework before the siding could be finished. Excel put in a new sliding patio door, but had the wrong hardware for the door and lock (said it was an order snafu), so we had to wait another two weeks for that. The siding crew were going along fine until one of them managed to cut his hand wide open, necessitating an immediate trip to the ER. After all the stonework was finished, after some prodding, they came back and finished everything. The owner made an adjustment on our bill because of all the delays, which was appreciated. Everything (aside from the dent)looks ok. Today, we found metal scrap pieces and a box of nails in the side yard, and about 1/2 a box sprinkled through the grass in the side yard, and that was just what we could find ourselves. The owner is coming over this afternoon with a magnet to sweep the yard. This should have been done the last day of the job. Unprofessional to say the least, and I'm tired of the excuses. If you want to babysit grown men, hire this bunch. They do ok work, but take forever, and it's one thing after another, excuse after excuse. Just think about how high your bs tolerance is, and hire accordingly. Knowing what I do now, I would have chosen differently.

I paid them a significant amount of money to install siding, with the bulk of the cost covering installation of furring strips to which they were supposed to nail the siding. Upon close examination of the work once completed, I discovered they had nailed the siding straight into the side of my house (instead of installing furring strips). In skipping the furring strip step (for which I had paid), they materially changed the terms of the contract without clearing the change with the homeowner and saved themselves two days of labor in an effort to maximize profits, quality be damned. Excel Remodeling's actions were dishonest, and as the owner of the company admitted in the aftermath, a poor business decision. He explained to me that they weren't trying to pull one over on me, but that his foreman had made this business decision and informed the owner two days into what was supposed to be a four day job. Nonetheless, the owner never bothered to mention this important fact to me at any point after he was informed of this change, so judge for yourself. To be fair, once Excel Remodeling was caught skipping steps in their work, the company did return to my home, took every piece of siding down, installed the furring strips they were contractually obligated to install in the first place, and reinstalled the siding. They did this without trouble, quickly, and the owner was quite apologetic. Regardless, "Caveat Emptor," as the saying goes.

So, I went through 7-8 contractors to ensure I got the right one. I eventually picked Rollins. I'm so happy that I chose them to do the job because the guys were precise, and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed their job. That showed up in the work. The roof looks terrific. There is no sign of shoddy workmanship. Everything is crisp and sharp. I genuinely feel like I got excellent value for the money--I rarely feel that way. Yes, replacing a roof was expensive, but it was worth it because I no longer have the stress of whether or not the old slate roof will fail. Now, I can think about more important things in life and just get on with it. That alone was worth the investment. I will work with Rollins & Associates again and recommend them to friends and family.

After having the deck replaced at my home, my mother wanted to have her old deck replaced. Since…read moreher deck was not elevated, I recommended looking into concrete or stone. I had followed Montana Concrete Pro on Facebook and loved their work. When I suggested looking into them, she insisted it would be too expensive, but we called to get a quote just to see. Ahmad came out and we explained that we were in the beginning stages and weren't really sure what we were looking for (concrete, decorative concrete or pavers). We saw other project that had sitting walls and firepits, but weren't really sure what we wanted. Ahmad was very understanding and transparent. He worked up a quote for each style and gave us pricing guidelines on added features (sitting wall, firepits, etc). He spent a few minutes explaining the benefits of each style. We let him know we'd have to talk things over and we'd get back to him. We did call two other companies to get prices Montana Concrete was similarly priced to one and more affordable to another. We chose Montana and Ahmad because they were more responsive, professional and transparent during the estimate process. We worked with Ahmad to create a final design, price quote and schedule the job. Because it was busy season (mid-June) we would have to wait until the first week in August. Two weeks later we got a call from Ahmad explaining they had another job in the area next week and he'd like to do our job at the same time since his crew would be in the area. We agreed and the job started the following week. The job was originally planned to take 5-7 working days, but there were a few minor delays due to rain and extreme heat. Even with the delays the job was completed in 8 working days. Ahmad was responsive and transparent about the delays. The finished product is amazing. Montana Concrete came back numerous times after the patio was complete to reseed grass, clean spots from the pavers and remove excess materials. They made sure we were satisfied in every way possible. My mother has received so many compliments from friends, family and neighbors. One neighbor commented that it looked like "something out of a magazine." I would recommend Montana Concrete to anyone.
