BHC is a very well run, responsive, personable, respectful, and conscientious business. They come when they say they will, do only what's needed, and provide fair value for their services. The workers are straight forward in their explanations, taking photo evidence of the roofing conditions to share with the home owner. They discuss what needs to be done right away and explain the options available, which is good to have if working with a budget. They follow up with reminders if the roof is coming due for maintainence which is a nice service. Outta sight, outta mind is human nature, so i appreciate the reminders for recoats, etc. The roof is not something to leave to chance, especially with the crazy weather experienced lately ( strong winds, hail, torrential rainfall, etc). I recently had a clogged downspout (from some tree debris) that was pooling water on the roof and BHC was out within a few days of my call. No job is too small when it comes to their customers. They had to return to replace the fascia after the roof was completed. They didn't address rotted/missing fascia in a separate area to which they attached new gutters. The gutter is now sagging in the area of rotted fascia after it rained because the fascia board is pulling away from the house. It's not possible they didn't know they were attaching gutters to rotted fascia. They were willing to return to fix that for additional cost but I chose to go elsewhere. I felt as though the workmen were just trying to get the job done to move on to the next job and I could not trust them after 2 strikes. Poor workmanship. Very disappointing.

From the start, their consultant, Stephen M., came out and provided helpful education, a thorough walkthrough, zero pressure, and a timely quote for several different product options. Munz ultimately provided the best quote among the three local companies that came out. Eric G., their general manager, also came out to review the plan and clearly outlined the steps they would take to protect our garden beds during the siding removal and installation. That level of communication and attention to detail gave us a lot of confidence going into the project. Project Manager Chris and installer Oleg then completed the project in 9.5 days, which was even half a day ahead of their original 10-day estimate. Chris checked in every day to see if we had any questions or concerns, and Oleg's work was outstanding. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were top notch, and he spent at least a half hour cleaning up every day before leaving. One thing that really stood out was that Oleg took the time to point out how well the previous siding job had been done when the house was built about 40 years ago. He noted that the original wrapping had been applied with meticulous precision, which helped explain why there was minimal water damage to the existing boards. That honesty was appreciated, especially because there was never a moment where the crew attempted to upsell us on unnecessary work. I noticed that Kevin Phillips Roofing responds quickly on Yelp, and had great reviews. Sure enough, after contacting him, he messaged me in about five minutes. He came out the next day, and replaced all of the gaskets around the roofing vents. He showed me a before and after picture of the gaskets. He surmised that a squirrel could have chewed into the gasket, trying to get into our house. I think that he is right, because other neighbors have squirrels in their attic. He is a nice guy, very professional, timely in his response and does not cost you an arm and a leg. I would hire him again in the future!
