I didn't see the message until the following morning and therefore never confirmed the change. At that point my appointment had already been changed once because the salon was closing on the original date and now the artist was changing again. Rather than proceed with an appointment that had changed multiple times due to circumstances outside of my control, I decided to cancel. I understand the salon's response will likely be that my appointment date and time remained the same, that they notified me of the artist change and that I canceled within their same day cancellation window. They also explained that their policy allows for a 100% same day cancellation fee and that they only charged me 50% as a courtesy. I don't dispute that they have a cancellation policy. My issue is with how it was applied in this situation. This wasn't a typical last minute cancellation where everything remained as originally booked. The business had already rescheduled my appointment once because they were closing and then changed my artist less than 24 hours before the appointment. I never confirmed that I was comfortable with that change before being charged. Emergencies happen and I don't fault my original brow artist for having a family emergency. My disappointment is with the decision to enforce a cancellation fee despite the multiple changes initiated by the business. In my opinion greater flexibility would have been the fairer approach. I disputed the charge with my bank and chose not to rebook. While I can't speak to the quality of their brow services, I can only review my own experience as a customer and unfortunately it left me disappointed with how the situation was handled.

They were completely non-understanding and insisted on charging me the full price of the appointment. They showed absolutely no willingness to compromise for what was going on in my schedule, and just made it all about getting their $$$. Will never be booking with this place again! Also - a word of caution about all the 5* reviews - after my first appointment I was offered a discount on my next booking if I left a 5* review and specifically mentioned the brow tech by name. That's obviously a lot of what's going on here....

The provider told me she would not perform dermaplaning because of the potential risk and her insurance requirements. While I disagreed with that decision--especially because I have had dermaplaning before without complications--I ultimately told her I was not going to continue arguing about it and respected that she had made her decision. What I find very unprofessional is what happened afterward. She specifically told me she could still do my brow tint appointment the following morning. I explained how important the appointment was to me because I am standing in a wedding in 10 days and how much of an inconvenience the last-minute change had already caused. I also made it clear that I wanted to express my frustration beforehand so there would be no tension when I arrived for the brow tint. Instead of honoring the service she had just confirmed, she responded later that evening and canceled my brow tint appointment as well because of how I felt about the dermaplaning decision. A client should be able to respectfully express disappointment or disagree with a provider's decision without having an unrelated, already-confirmed appointment canceled afterward. I was candid about being frustrated, but I also explicitly said I was done disputing the dermaplaning decision and planned to see her for the brow tint. I respect a provider's right to decline a service they believe presents a medical or insurance risk. What I do not respect is confirming another service, knowing how important and time-sensitive it was, and then canceling it at the last minute after a client expressed disappointment. That felt unnecessarily punitive and was an extremely disappointing and unprofessional way to handle the situation.

Spaces in front are limited and additional parking is across the street. There's no crosswalk nearby and the traffic is fast and furious. The process took about an hour and I felt very relaxed the whole time. My eyebrows came out absolutely beautiful and exactly how I wanted them. This costed me about $150 but with tip about $180 out the door, which is so worth it to have amazing brows! I will definitely be back.
