Not sure if the service has gotten worse over the years but my experience with them was just okay. Two stars for being responsive and for the cheap price. The agreement was to drop off and set up the rentals but they just drop them off and left. Ramiro was trying to tell me that his price has gone up and different than what he had on his website. The guys were really nice and professional. All arrived in time for my event, and in ready-to-serve condition. Tablecloths were freshly pressed and glasses were flawless. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the organization behind the actual rental equipment. I was told they had a sales agent quit so no one was able to organize orders properly. Yep. I got a delivery a day earlier than planned and only half the order came, which put me on edge and had me calling and texting until the other half of the order came 2 days later. I guess it all worked out bc the tablecloth color I initially ordered turned out awful and they agreed to bring me something else. And the next day, the guys came unannounced to pick everything up in the morning. A call would have been nice, lucky we were home! After a few weeks of searching for rental vendors in San Diego, I found Excellent Party Rental (EPR). Reached out to inquire about pricing and exchanged quotes. Two of the most important factors when searching for me is affordability and dependability. I chosed EPR is due to them being the most affordable compared to the other competitors rates. I am also a realist, I know the term "you get what you are paying for", so I kept our communication open and honest. Ramiro (the owner) is very helpful and knowledgeable, not to mention but the prices (on their website) are transparent. There were no tricks and no hidden fees. I remained skeptic, EPR is too good to be true. At the same time, I couldn't help but thought what if their customer service isn't as good and their price being competitively cheaper. I did more research and read all the reviews on every platform this company has, Facebook, Yelp, Google...so on. I felt even more confident, extremely satisfied, and LUCKY doing business with them afterward. Ramiro helped revised my inventory/invoice multiple times due to changes in our guests count. On the day of the event, they arrived on time, carefully loaded down and beautifully arranged all the chairs, also hammered down the 50 feet carpet runner. The runner was perfect WHITE, properly installed, and to top it off they also brushed off all the dusts and rocks (our setting had clay like texture, it can get dusty). Ramiro's team also carefully and politely reminded our guests to avoid stepping on the runner to keep it fresh and clean for the bridal party. Ordered the gold chiavari chairs without seating pad (extra charge for sitting pad/cushion). All without my knowledge, EPR provided the seating pads free of charge!! If this isn't quality service then I dont know what. The pads were soft, beautiful, and match our theme! A small gesture that goes a long way. Lucky for us, the weather fair and on our terms. All of our guests loved their service and how attentive, careful the EPR team was. Thanks EPR team for making our day extra special, cushy, and unforgettable. Keep doing what you're doing now. Great service and dependability without breaking a bank is hard to come by and yet you guys did it! If given an opportunity in the future, we wouldn't think twice booking with EPR again. Cheers! Honest review... and a bit of advice. Had excellent party rental for my wedding and communication was a bit challenging.(delayed response requiring a few reminder texts/email, not paying attention to date or updated quote). I believe it's because this is a small family business and ramiro is still new in the game and he's pretty much the main guy so everything goes through him. Despite the almost heart attack on my wedding day where they thought it was a different date, they'd still hustled and delivered the rented items. Then afterwards they were honest, realized their mistakes, and did compensate me for the misunderstanding. Overall, I wish it went a bit smoother than I encountered but they really tried to make it better. I'd recommend the following if you're planning a wedding by yourself , even with a month of coordinator. Be patient. You'll have to send a few texts / email reminder to them. It's already difficult as a bride and it doesn't make it easier but I think with time they'll get better at responding. COMMUNICATE VIA PHONE CALL A WEEK BEFORE YOUR EVENT AND SPEAK TO RAMIRO. Either you or make it clear to your coordinator to go over all the details with them a week before your event just to make sure everything is going to show up on time and the right items ordered. Based on the reviews I choose this place to rent chairs and table cloths for my wedding. Their prices were low and reviews were good. Sadly we had a horrible experience! The person in charge has terrible communication. It takes days to get responses to general questions. When we spoke I specifically asked about delivery and he said they did deliver. When I told him what I needed he then said he won't deliver and I needed to pick up. He quoted me one price, then when he invoiced AFTER we picked up he charged $40 more than the original quote. The service and the communication is horrible. For a company named "Excellent" they have crappy service and experiences. Needless to say I will never be renting here again.
