I've been bringing my sons here for tutoring for about 4 months and WOW, what a difference in their grades! Shout out to their tutors Andrew and Simon! When I first enrolled my boys, I explained to Anthony (the center director) that my youngest son gets anxious about his performance in math, and we would need him to be matched with a patient tutor. Simon was the perfect match! He will even take the time to meet with me after each session to discuss what they went over and what my son should work on at home in order to help build his skills. I stopped in recently to tour the facilities, not sure exactly what to expect. When I entered the lobby, I was immediately greeted by a friendly staff member (whose name escapes me) and was immersed in an open, comfortable, relaxed environment. Anthony showed me around. What I saw was a top-notch facility featuring everything one might expect in a high-level educational environment. I also was fortunate enough to witness interaction between tutors and students. My daughter had a 1750 on her SAT and seven weeks to improve it. With Oxford's friendly, knowledgeable staff, they recommended a program of one hour per week for English and one per Math along with free SAT practice tests every Friday. The results are in the pudding with a 2150!!! I could not be happier!!! Their staff was flexible, friendly and knowledgeable and results speak for themselves!!! I have another son going into ninth grade and you can bet I will be enrolling him as well. This is an investment in your child, and the results for the money was well worth it, they are not the cheapest game in town, and are by far not the most, but they are THE best value in terms of the results! This is a great tutoring center that allows students to further their knowledge beyond just what they learn at school. As the father of 3, ages spanning 20 years, I've seen a lot of faces come and go at Oxford, but the one constant is Anthony. In my opinion, Anthony really has his business wired. I haven't been to a tutoring center in years because I used to feel intimidated by the subjects I needed help on. I tried this tutoring center because I needed to brush up on calculus skills that I lost since high school but needed a boost for college math placement exam. The employees and tutors at the site were much friendlier than I expected and helped me practice my calculus skills which helped me pass my exam! I notice that they have a lot of programs geared towards high school students but if you need some remedial help don't be afraid to ask this place! read more

My parents enrolled me into Oxford Tutoring Center for their SAT program in 2013. Honestly, this was one of the best things I could have done. Thanks to the amazing instructors at Oxford, I was able to improve my score from a 1200 to a 1900. The instructors really know how to cater to each individual student's learning style. They also have an ample amount of practice tests so that each student feels confident in their abilities during the actual exam. It was great. Thanks to them, I got into every college I applied to except for one and will be graduating UCI this Spring with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I enrolled my daughter in Oxford Tutoring, at the end (mid May) of her 8th grade year. My daughter was in danger of failing math. Her grade went from a F to an A in a few short weeks. Each of the tutors, assigned to my daughter, were wonderful and able to work with my daughter's unique learning style. Another bonus is the hours that the tutors are available. Without the tutoring center's great hours, which accommodated our busy schedules, we would have had difficulty utilizing this great service. Out of 3 tutoring centers I previously attended, this place was the best. Friendly staff, nice area near UCR. The prices are great too! They get straight to the point and will work with you. The tutors there are either credentialed or working on it. There's also a lot of students there , and some students with famous parents. The SAT class was most beneficial to me. read more

My high school daughter has been here for a year.. All of the tutors are great . It is flexible with her spontaneous teachers schedule of random tests. Only one time did she have a tutor that she had a hard time with . I explained it to the front desk they apologized and gave me a credit. I highly recommend Oxford ! read more

I give it a star only because we absolutely love Nicki who tutors my son. She is AMAZING!! But the problem I'm having is trying to speak to someone in regards to scheduling? I have sent numerous text to Anthony, sent a email to Anthony and left two VM on this number, and I haven't got a response back! I do understand that the pandemic has been hard for everyone, but to keep a business at flow, for return students, you would think some communication would be helpful. I have been bringing my son here for 2+ years and when Becky was there doing the scheduling. Never had a problem. Unfortunately I will be looking somewhere else for the summer and the new year :( I would appreciate if Oxford isn't going to give my son the make up day than we would like the reimbursement? I went to Oxford Tutoring to get help with my college algebra class. The teacher at my school was not really specific and clear. He was hard to understand and very technical. The tutor I had at Oxford helped me get my first A in the class. For the first time, I am actually excited to go to my class and look forward to opening my math book. Oxford tutoring center is amazing! My younger sister is in 6th grade and has been needing help with her Math skills. Went in for ap calc test review and realized that I should of came in earlier. They helped me with answering test questions and went over concepts. I had Alex as an instructor and he especially helped me nail FRQs, which I scored so poorly on in class!!! I definitely wouldn't have been as prepared if I didn't go here. Can't wait for my results. I've been to many after school program and tutoring services when I was in school but I can vouch that this place has some great service and learning environment. I brought my little cousin here just to try it out since I heard about it from a friend and I didn't make a mistake. This place helped my little cousin on his math skills and reading skills. His critical thinking is getting better since he can solve math problems that are a gave higher than his. He is in 4th grade but can read, write, and do problems like a 5th grader because of this place. I highly recommend this place. Plus the people here are very friendly. read more

This tutoring center has an amazing staff who specialize in specific subject areas. Some of the tutors are applying or have been accepted into medical schools, so it was very helpful to get tips on applications, too. My daughter has been attending sessions here for 1 whole year. She has been asseed twice to track her improvement. Her tutor Anna (and in the past Roberta) have been both supportive and very helpful in Math and Language Arts. Motivation is high and she always come home with a smile and less frustrated with homework. Our daughter has improved in both areas, her last report card showed a dramatic improvedment in grades. We'v etried other places, but this is the first time we've improvement in her grades! Some great things this place does is confirm your session the day before (via txt), great reminder and way to keep track of days your little one attends. Billing is easy and not too expensive, I think they range $35/hour but don't quote me on that. The staff is always friendly and very supportive. They will work around you schedule. I sent my son here for their after school program and I would recommend this tutoring center if you are in the Riverside area. He always had his homework completed and graded correctly. The staff is wonderful, very approachable and helpful and my son never had any complaints about the program. The space is very large and has plenty of separate rooms. My nephew really calculus and needed help with it so i shopped around for tutoring. Megan is an awesome tutor. He said he had trouble with tangent lines, u-substitution, and the list goes on....She's pretty cool and broke everything down for him so it was easier to understand. His grades ended up picking up ! This place is modern looking and isn't those typical dirty centers, very clean which is a good atmosphere for someone trying to learn. I've never been a math person in my entire life, but I've always managed to pull it off. I understand what the teacher says in class, but I completely blank out when trying the problems. I ended up wasting time and money on a prep book as well. My last resort was finding a great tutor (so much for saving money). Alex helped me visualize the concepts as a limit, derivative, integration...etc. There was really no way of getting a good grade in this class without Alex's extra help! My advice is to reserve him ahead of time because he books up fast. read more

Wow. What can I say about Oxford Tutoring Center.... Too much. I can honestly say that this place saved my life and career. Cliche, I know. I was always a pretty smart kid, always attending after school programs, tutor centers, you name it, I've done it. My parents are first generation Koreans so you know the Tiger mom drill. Anyway, I ended up moving a lot and ultimately not caring much about school. I moved high schools three times and by the 3rd school, I just didn't care about my grades. Classes never transferred over correctly so what was the point? I just wanted to make friends and have fun. So my senior year, I enrolled here for help in Calculus and some SAT prep. Okay, to be honest, I totally dreaded coming here as I expected it to be like all other tutoring centers. Other centers don't really care about you, they just want your money and the kids? All they do is fool around and socialize. Heard the term "Never judge a book by its covers?" Yep. Oxford Tutoring Center proved me so wrong. The teachers are genuine here. It's more than just lessons and problems. They will go over everything from A-Z and no student ever feels ashamed to raise their hand and ask questions. I absolutely loved that there was no pressure. I love questions. Anyway, fast forward a few years, I graduated with honors from Chapman University and am currently working at an award winning Forbes Top 500 company. My younger brother also attended for SAT prep and he is now a bio-chem major in UCSD aspiring to be a doctor. If you're looking for a Kumon type place, this is not for you. They don't just hand out assignments and hire some uneducated college student to grade your stuff. They hire legitimate teachers, most of them doing this as a side job and working professionally. The teachers care which make this place such a wonderful place to learn; however, the best thing about Oxford Tutoring Center? The teachers, including the students and just the general staff inspire you to be greater. They motivate you. read more

I started Oxford roughly around 6th grade (10th now). This has to be one of the best tutoring centers imo. I've gone to kumon and others like it, but they don't quite measure up to Oxford.The environment is supportive and professional, but what I think what really makes the place are the people. Currently, JT is my English tutor and it's been great. Each tutor has their own quirks(really funny and impossibly sarcastic in this case) and that's something no other center can replicate. All of them are extremely qualified and it really makes you confident as a student to be learning from them. Each tutor is tailored to you and they teach at your own pace and style. I've grown tremendously over the years and being able to talk and learn with such great individuals has not only made me a better writer, but has given me ideas with what I want to do in life. Even though the tutors are remarkably young, they hold a bunch of wisdom. I'm going to start ACT prep soon and am confident that oxford will be extremely helpful. -ayush read more

My daughter was transferring from a private school to a public school for sixth grade. She underwent an assessment here to see where she was at and we found she was behind although she hadn't been struggling in 5th grade. She came to Oxford over that summer and got up to grade level and beyond. She loved the tutors that she worked with-it was the first time she had ever needed any tutoring and really liked the experience. But, the most important thing, was that they really helped bring her self-confidence up! She came when she needed it over the next years of middle school and high school--especially for calculus with Alex--and was valedictorian in her class at Poly. She also came here for test prep and scored at 34 on the ACT. What I loved about Oxford is that, yes, she learned the material but they nurtured her which really helped her self-confidence and gave her the motivation to like learning and to like school. They helped her learn "how to study". I really feel that the skills and confidence she gained at Oxford in the 6th grade had a very lasting effect on her and stayed with her throughout middle and high school. Thank you, Oxford! read more
