Great work finding and fixing a very abnormal problem with my 2017 Toyota Tacoma. It would start but anytime I'd fill it up at the gas station it wouldn't. I had an issue with my car that someone knowledgeable thought was perhaps an axle issue. I can't imagine how much it would have cost if it had been an axle issue. NEVER go to this shop for repairs and if you do just expect to turn right around days later because your car breaks down. I've taken my 2017 Chevy Malibu to this shop and 4 days after paying $2800 my car engine seized on the freeway and instead of being professional and having compassion the owner argues and gets defensive and then uses google to say it's another issue instead of being a mechanic and really fixing the car. He lies and just wants to get you for more money after you paid him a lot days before. STAY CLEAR OF THIS SHOP!! Also parts that were paid for were taken out of my car and never returned. my car needs to have timing chain done soon per dealer but through last two experiences they are not fixing it right. dealers recommendation is to trade in the car. I checked around and saw exclusive automotive and talked to Pierre Jr. told him what's goin on with the car and he took time to explain everything, especially the break needed to get checked because whenever you press the brake it wouldn't stop all the way.mechanic from the dealer fixed the booster and break pump did not work well that's the reason I lost my trust to dealer mechanic.Luckily Pierre and Pierre Jr. as well as the staff was absolutely amazing! This review is 4 years past due. I have known the Deshotels family for quite some time now and I must say that they had my 2012 Kia Forte always running like I had just bought it off the lot. Pierre Jr was always a call away to answer any sort of questions that I posed. The first large project that Pierre had did on my car was putting in custom under-glow and interior light kit. The quality of the work that was put into my kit was immaculate. Pierre not only installed my kit but had guaranteed his work for as long as I owned my car. The second largest project I had done on my Kia was a HID headlights, license plate lights, and interior lights. The price was beyond reasonable and the quality of work once again exceeded my expectations. Beyond the two large projects that Pierre did on my car, I often times had taken my Kia to the Deshotels for all of my typical maintenance including replacing breaks, resurfacing rotors, and oil changes. If I was to compare this family of mechanics to your more well known mechanic shops around the neighborhood, I would say that they differ simply because they will always help no matter what time/day it is. This was my 1st Good* encounter with a Carmax Warranty (they covered the repair in full, thank God.) and I couldn't be more happy with this random shop I selected off their repair shop list. I had recently moved to murrieta and was working in LA when one morning on my way to work I started hearing a loud hssing noise as if the A/C compressor was overpressurized and the relief was going on. I went to work and after work qhe. I started my Honda Pilot it was making a horrible loud squeal. I wasn't sure what was wrong or even if I would make it home, but I turned to Google to find a mechanic where I lived. I saw exclusive was highly recommended by the reviews, but there weren't very many reviews posted, so I was a bit weary. I called their number and to my surprise the call was forwarded to Pierre's voice-mail and he called me back very shortly after I had left a message. I described the problem and he explained that if the A/C relief did go off then there may be compressor oil on my serpentine belt causing the squeal and that if I rev the engine and it goes away it would probably make it home. I made it home and after I got home I then looked at the car under the hood more thoroughly and was able to see that the serpentine belt tensioner mounting bolt had sheared from the engine block, so I called pierre and informed him of that. We schedule for me to drop the car off after hours and he would check it out. He was very reasonably priced, thorough, and fixed my car in a timely manner. I will continue to bring my cars and suggest his company to any of my other friends and relatives.
