Must pay before getting food or drinks. Terrible service and mediocre food. Highly don't recommend.

Well for once this was a restaurant that was popular in the 1990s for rotisserie and I never tried…read moreit cuz during that time it was super expensive and I wasn't making enough money it's still expensive now but the reason why I came here is to compare this place since they were the ones who originated the idea of rotisserie chicken before Sam's club and Costco started selling $5 chicken rotisserie style. A lot of these Boston markets are going out of business because of the trends uncertain franchises being overpriced especially with the cost of fuel in cars and other things that are so expensive Nationwide. I needed a bucket list despite that I bought Sam's club rotisserie chicken earlier but that's for dinner and I'm not going to eat the whole thing. Some of that chicken I got from Sam's club I'm going to make into my lunch tomorrow for my working day. Other than that if I compare the rotisserie chicken that they sell here for $12.99 versus the $5 chickens from Costco and Sam's club this really beats those two rotisserie chickens. The way they do their chicken here it's organic also they don't layer it with seasonings like Sam's club using Lawrysor a lot of salt in both Sam's club and Costco. I would have to come back to buying a whole chicken in regards to how it was cooked inside it wasn't dry like Sam's club or Costco it didn't have that two day old dryness that you know that it's not exactly fresh chicken that they had as a whole. As for the sides the cream spinach was delicious the cornbread was just meh ok. It wasn't bad but it wasn't like the best tasting cornbread that I would do cartwheels or say wow likewise with the chicken soup. Green beans was the same thing it was just meh good. It didn't have that crispiness for the green beans that I've tasted better with the freshness. No I ended it with the apple pie and surprisingly the pie was very delicious. I would expect the crust to be very dry and then the fillings was not too full of sugar for Apple neither was it too dry but it actually had the right juiciness or moisture in the apple pie I only order the slice especially since I'm in a pre-diabetic state of health that I have to be concerned about. Service was decent they were just opening at 11:00 I came in at 11:30 on a Sunday ambience was pretty quiet but amiable with the staff it was just one lady and one Young teenager. Other than that not all the sides where delicious where I would do cartwheels or say wow. Reason for 3 stars ask for server Hammit she is very friendly and amiable and will also enlighten you on all the selections on the menu

Hala Kahiki is a tiki bar staple in the Chicago Suburbs! The inside is much larger than I expected…read morewith a huge bar area, covered outdoor patio, and at least two other indoor seating areas. I love that as soon as you enter, you are transported to a tropical oasis that is dark and moody. I visited with a larger group so we made a reservation before. One pays $5 per person in your group and the amount is later applied to your bill. The food menu is minimal and most items weren't available sadly. We got two orders of their pineapple salsa with taro chips. It was yummy but wasn't enough substance to match the drink levels. For drinks, our group got a wide variety. They have all sorts of flavor pairings to accommodate every guest. I got the Captain's Revenge after hearing the Pearl Diver was unavailable. It was good but not amazing. For my second drink, I got the Chocolate Banana Old Fashioned which I thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't hear anyone in our group be disappointed with what they ordered. Our server, Jazmine, was very knowledgable about the menu and asking the right questions to make sure what we each ordered would be something we liked. Overall, this was a fun experience and I am happy I finally got to visit! My experience was slightly tainted with how much was not available the night we visited.

Down-to-earth, humble spot for some Chicago fast food!…read more They have gyros, hot dogs, burgers, shish-kabob, Italian beef, fries, onion rings, and more. When I was here I got the #8 Greek chicken which was nicely seasoned broiled chicken, garlic bread, and rice. It came piping hot and fresh and served with a drink. I loved it! Their fries and onion rings were delicious, too. Pop's totally reminds me of a true Chicagoan spot for some grub - you'll see locals coming in and out while talking with the staff (because they're regulars) about the Bears, work, or construction nearby on I-90 (very Chicagoan). I loved the lowkey and charming feel here. Their pricing is affordable with most combos (including fries and a drink) being under $11. It's better to eat individually or with 1 person if you want to dine-in since they don't have tables inside, just a built-in tabletop against the walls so you're facing the window/wall when you eat. I recommend taking your food to-go. The 2 men at the counter helping me were personable and approachable. Located in a tiny stip mall off the busy street, this place is a small spot with convenient parking right out in front. Pop's is one humble fast-food place that serves up fresh menu items and Chicago classics. I'd recommend it!

Greetings my Foodzies, recently we tried out a restaurant called Pops Place at 8418 w Grand Ave…read more River Grove. It a small spot tucked away I a little strip mall at Grand Ave and Thatcher. There's a table and window seats for fine in, the young man who took our order was very friendly and polite. We ordered a steak sandwich with fries and a combo (beef and sausage) the steak sandwich was decent size it just needed a more seasoning, the fries were crinkle cut frozen fries (we prefer fresh cut) and needed to be a crispier. The combo was tasty and good size. I give this restaurant 4 stars nice little spot. Try it out and let me know what you think. Ciao, Ciao for now.
