Her quoted price was fair and was NOT elevated after the service was performed, as some companies tent to do. Fred was able to give me a plaster estimate over the phone, but he came out personally to evaluate the leak situation. As it turned out, I needed to replace my old copper plumbing lines and reroute them under the brick decking. It was a major job, especially because the concrete beneath the brick was much thicker and harder than expected, requiring significantly more demolition and labor than originally anticipated. What impressed me most was that even though the project took longer and required more work, Fred honored his original quote and never tried to increase the price. That's rare these days. Many contractors would have adjusted the cost once the unexpected challenges were uncovered, but Fred is a man of his word. Once the demolition was complete, everything else went smoothly. Fred was on-site throughout most of the project, supervising the crew, answering questions, and making sure the work was done right.
