I was hanging around Grossmont Center the day after the election feeing blue. I was actually buying black clothes because I decided to make a statement about the outcome, when I spotted the place. It said 15 bucks for a shampoo, scalp massage and style, so I went on in after my movie at about 430. They could take me right away. I was glad because I had plans at six. The person who did my hair did a nice job and it looked pretty when I left, as she blew it dry and put some curls in it. Sorry I forgot to take a photo. She could have massaged my scalp a little longer, but for 15 bucks,I am not complaining. Just trying to give some way to improve. Oh and maybe get some better hairspray, as the curls fell out very quickly. That's my hair for ya. They offer a senior discount on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday also. I was in and out in about 45 minutes and with five dollar tip was only 20 bucks poorer. Really perked me up though. The place is small and there was a massage taking place in the room right off the main area. The smell of the massage oil was relaxing. There was a woman who came in and sat there in the main desk chair of the place who had a uniform on like that of a security guard and she and I started talking. She was trying to empathize with me about the election, but I think she was placating me instead of really agreeing because she made a comment about how a woman president would have trouble speaking to Arab leaders. I say that's their problem if they can't accept women as equals. However the gal who did my hair didn't speak to me at all, which made me wonder if she spoke English. I just happened to Google this place while I was in the area. My hair needed a overhaul. I normally go just anywhere. But now I'm only going to Martha for anything to do with hair. She was so sweet,friendly,and detailed when it came to making my hair look good. It has been growing out for awhile since I spiked it. And used box dye's all the time. My other hairdresser quit the business so I took a chance on this salon, since I've walked past a number of times when I've come out of Macy's. It's also across from Panera's, another one of my favorites. First experience was with Alma who did a wonderful job (Brazilian Blowout). Second experience was with Alma again. This time I needed a cut. Unbelievable. I took in some pictures of what I wanted done and she did a fantastic job. I love the cut. So much different from what I've had before and I totally love it. Alma has beautiful hair, herself, and is, apparently, very up on the current styles and what it takes to make a client look great. She's amazing. So, I guess I've found a new hairdresser! read more

Went in for permanent make up eye brows and eye liner, both only lasted 1month. Went back and was told it must just be my skin and a redo was full price again?!?! Had two friends go also they had the same problem. I do not think her tattoo machine is top quality. Will not be back. read more

I have been around long enough to know the difference between traumatizing, poor, average, and superb brow shaping, and all I have to say is Lizz is superb, hands down. She just knows what she's doing and makes me brow-fabulous every time. I had an appointment for an 11am facial. She called at 8:45 to cancel and only offered me other times around her schedule and not mine. I was very frustrated with her lack of ability to accommodate me since she was the one cancelling a prebooked appointment. Went in to this cute little salon to get waxed after a month and a of of not having any facial waxing. Brenda really did an AMAZING job! And the wax that she used on my made my skin feel brand new.
