It pains me to write this as James is such a lovely friendly person who is obviously trying his best. I've gone in depth about my experiences but if you need a quick take-aways its this is a summary: James' "clinic" is unsanitary, filthy dirty & his personal hygiene questionable James charges $175 an hour. Which is the most expensive in the USA. He repeats many times) that he is the best in the USA. With unproven results. I'm sure many of his clients have had similar feelings but someone really needs to write a fearless review of his services. I have thick skin but I just think if I was a young ts girl coming here about how it would make them feel... James is the *most expensive* (ive found in the US) Electrologist in the USA $175 an hour. He claims its so expensive because his unexplained technique which differs so dramatically from other tech. Now Electrology is a difficult project for anyone who has chosen to medically transition. Its all new to us. We only get one shot & have one beard to work with so it's difficult for us to know for sure how to rate ones work. So far in my transition I have had 3 intensive sessions with 2 different services. The first E3000 in Dallas & James at ExecutiveClearance so I have little comparison. Both session with James were at two different locations. Both experiences were unusual, bizarre & slightly traumatizing. The first was in Philadelphia at the beginning of the pandemic. I rented a car & drove from NYC. I pulled up to the pleasant large detached house in a nice suburb. I was kindly greeted by James & a lady called Suzan. It was a lovely welcome that put me at ease & as i was new to my transition it felt good to meet an old trans person who seemed so welcoming. However as soon as I walk into the house I was greeted by a a HUGE Donald Trump 2020 flag. I admit I was shocked & taken aback. Here we have a black cis heterosexual electrologist living & working part time with an older white middle class transgender Trump supporter. The house was somewhat unsanitary - not a clinic setting. I was then led into a room which was darkly lit with boxes and papers piled up. Everything was fine then. All i wanted to do was get through the day as quickly as possible pay my $175 an hour & be on my way. Unfortunately that wasnt the case. It was Suzans birthday. So we all went for lunch. Now this is where things got weirder. The things that bothered me about his close friend is She point blank refused to wear a mask, constantly talked about how great Donald Trump is, how much she loves Blair White but the thing that REALLY got to me & i found WAY BEYOND anything else is that she questioned my transition -along with James agreeing- "trans is just a trend - "we dont even know if your actually trans" & then lent over to me as if talking to a child that she would kindly use "she" pronouns for me. I left feeling depressed. I didnt get a full clearance & basically had to endure a politically hostile & unsanitary environment. Around 8 months later. It made more sense to me to travel to Buffallo than to Dallas from NYC where James is stationed. He is a nice enough guy, eccentric, a conspiracy theorist & electrologists that do extensive sessions are rare.l Long story short.... the place was FILTHY. The bathroom was covered in dirt & trash, the yard had old cars pliing up & the house looked like it should of been condemned. If the health department came it would be shut down instantly. It was giving DALLAS BUYERS CLUB vibes. It felt like the 1970s where trans folk had to move through strange backdoor places to find estrogen & electrolysis. I drugged myself with xanax & painkillers to pass out and avoid small talk. I left feeling all this person see's of trans people are walking pay checks to pay for his Mercedes rentals. I didn't felt cared for or cared about. I feel that this person due to their being very few intensive session electrologists in the USA - perhaps the world - he feels he doesn't have to try or care. That in way He is doing US a favor. James - if you charged less. ($125) I could of forgiven the unsanitary conditions & the Trump supporting trans friend. But your charging a premium for a completely unproven, unsanitary, subpar service. Its unprofessional & you made me feel like a walking pay check. I get more customer service & care at my local coffee shop. For the girls - E3000 in Dallas is likely a better call. I hope James reads this & works on his business. Cause right now he seems like he doesnt gaf about us. Other than ALL of that i'm pleased i came to Buffalo - i'm a little closer to being hair free & I got to see niagrara falls. I used James Walker at Executive Clearance To remove all of my facial hair. James is very good at what he does. I have since moved to Florida from the WNY area. I never asked for any special deals or packages. I just paid his regular hourly rate. I feel his rates are competitive and fair. James has good equipment, and works very quickly. He clears a lot of hair in a short time. His location may not be the crystal palace, but his equipment is sterile. I worked with him for about 18 months. Never in that time, did I ever have any problem with James or his work. I am still looking for someone that is half as good as him in my area for a little maintenance. James has been known to travel to accommodate his clients as well. I have no reservations about recommending him to my friends. In case you are in a hurry, I'm going to open by saying my electrolysis experience with James W Walker VII at Executive Clearance has been nothing short of phenomenal and I would offer the highest recommendation to anyone seeking permanent hair removal treatment and seeking the best value in terms of time, money and comfort. I came to James first for a free consultation and was pleased that it wasn't the usual sales pitch. He took the time to explain the electrolysis process including history, methodology, the importance of top of the line equipment, and his unique means of achieving full clearance in an area in the least amount of time possible with the lowest level of discomfort. The consult also included several treatment areas including the chin, jaw line, and upper lip. I was comforted by the fact that he didn't cherry pick less sensitive areas, but instead chose those where the highest amount of pain could be expected. He managed my expectations very well in terms of discomfort, time, results, and cost. I will digress for a moment and touch on an area that tends to jump out at new clientele because it certainly raised questions for me. His office doesn't exactly scream chamomile tea and finger sandwiches. I never saw even a scrap of marble or even a lone fountain. Instead I would describe it as the 'House' of offices. Rumpled and off putting on the outside, but incredibly impressive in the ability housed therein. James explained his business model as one that focuses on keeping as much of the overhead expenses as possible confined to the equipment. Personally, this worked for me because I would far rather pay for effective treatment over a lavender overstuffed suede couch or humongous fish tank. What I also appreciated about the office was his impressive collection of DVD. Seriously, like thousands of them. As James is willing to do marathon sessions from mid-morning to late at night, he helps clients pass the time with a clever set up of multiple monitors showing whatever your heart's desire from his impressively diverse selection that even boasts both 'Mannequin' and 'Mannequin II'. Upon arriving, I came into the treatment room and lay back on a comfortable table and James grounded me using a very pretty gold plated collar I never even noticed through the treatment. He adjusted his equipment to my personalized settings, put on the movie I had selected and got right to work. I was amazed at how quickly he worked and how easily I was able to dissociate from the process while watching the movie. He would insert the hair thin needle down each follicle shaft, zap, and pluck, bringing the hair out with the root intact. Where all my previous research indicated that the electrolysis process would be extended over years with little results being seen for a long time, and so painful that no more than an hour or two could be endured, I managed 8 hours that first time and never even needed a painkiller. I will be honest, the initial results were startling at first. James managed to remove 3500 hairs in that session, which left my face very red, puffy and swollen. James applied tea tree oil and sent me home with instructions, and most of the swelling was gone by the next day. Bette yet, so was a huge amount of my facial hair. His process left no bumps, no pocks, no scars, and no sign that hair had ever been there to begin with. I could not have been more pleased! read more

Executive Clearance provides incredible service levels to those in need of intensive electrolysis treatment. 1. While the owner, James, is headquartered in Buffalo, he travels the country frequently to visit clients. I have had more appointments in other cities than in Buffalo. 2. He has custom-designed everything in his operating environment to support 4- to 9-hour sessions. He has special arm rests to keep him from fatiguing. He has a ceiling-mounted screen so that patients can watch movies. 3. James uses some of the best electrolysis equipment in the industry and he works like lightning! I have never seen anyone keep up their concentration for so many hours at a time. I have used 5 other electrologists. James covers more hairs and causes less swelling and scarring than any. 4. I've met 15 other patients of James'. That is unusual. But James has a very loyal following of customers. 5. When I have traveled to Buffalo, James has picked me up and dropped me off at my hotel. Service doesn't get much better. His facilities are not in the greatest of neighborhoods. But that's not what I want to pay for! read more

Like the previous reviewer said, the place is DISGUSTING. I was shocked when I entered as especially with electrolysis, you want to feel like the place is sanitary. I would have went home if I hadn't already traveled around 3 hours to get there. James (the electrologist) forgot to wipe the make-up off/generally disinfect the area to be treated and charged $100 USD/hour at the time I went which was 3 years back. Fast forward to now and I am STILL HEALING from scars he left on my chin and upper lip. I contacted him about it as well as politely posted on the forum he co founded (hairtell) only to have him not take ANY responsibility whatsoever and blame it on me visiting multiple electrologists when my skin was fine up until after I visited him down in Buffalo. I would not recommended him to my worst enemy as no one deserves to have their face permanently scarred when they are trying to improve their image and self-esteem, be out of pocket $400+, have their concerns brushed off, have their electrologist not take accountability for what happened and try and blame another electrologist. A person knows their face well enough (especially when they are scrutinizing it constantly as someone with excess hair usually does) to know when there are multiple scars that were not there a month previous. Stay away. Besides the dirty office (scary when you're working with blood and needles!) and the lack of accountability for his actions, James was very giggly and seemed to really enjoy his work. read more

This is the place most of the transgendered people I know get their hair removal from. I was referred by a friend who got a full beard removed, and was left with smooth clear skin that looked like it had never grown hair before. The equipment used is cutting edge, and the skill level is top notch. Women seeking work with executive clearance will usually get full clearance the first time, while men may need a couple of days to get first clearance, but long appointments are the norm for them as they try to get everyone clear as soon as possible. Not the kind of place that limits customers to one hour, once a week. It is on a bus line, (24 Genesee) and just 3 miles from the airport, and 2 miles from the Galleria Mall, so it is easy to find and get to. read more
