I came in today after usually cutting my own hair, and I'm thrilled to have finally found a professional who gave me a cut I truly love. Walking into such a clean and welcoming shop was already a great start. Christian gave me a style I've never had before. I came in with an idea, but after he examined my scalp, he made a suggestion that turned out even better than what I had in mind. He gave me a very low cut with a super cute line design on the side--and I'm obsessed! Not only is he talented, but he's also great to talk to. We had such a good conversation, and he even explained why trimming the top was a good move because of a small dent I hadn't even noticed. The result? I love my cut even more. I immediately booked my next appointment in two weeks--he's definitely my new barber. The shop is super cute, spotless, and everyone there is so friendly. I think the cut that Grande Dell did yesterday was the best cut I ever got. He was very precise but not "fussy". I came out feeling well groomed and even, dare I say it, handsome which is not always the case with an older man. They use a straight razor on both the front and the back of the neck which feels great but is very rarely done these days . It looks and feels really good. I will be back for sure RVV

Out of the many barbers I have been to, this man is by far the best. I flew up to Providence, Rhode Island for my sister's graduation. As one of the many things I planned on doing while in the states (which I couldn't do normally, being that I live on a small island) was to go to a very acclaimed barber shop. After much researching and reading through reviews, I came across this barber shop; 'Executive Hair Salon'. I had always worried when I went to these salons (or barber shops), because I wasn't sure if they would do a good job cutting my hair, due to the fact that it is curly and has to be maintained fairly often. Albeit I had my worries, this man had proved my worries wrong. I normally experience mediocre haircuts from acclaimed barbers and hair stylists because they all have straight hair and haven't learned about how to properly treat curly hair, but..... Despite this mans short straight hair, he still had worked wonders on my coarse, curly hair. Executive Hair Salon has been, by far, my best haircut I have had (even though I am only 14. Don't get me wrong, I am not being melodramatic about this haircut. If there is one thing I love about myself, it is my hair. So hear me out when I say, this man is worth every penny you spend on that haircut (and by the way it isn't that much). read more

Executive Hair Salon. 5 stars. Very convenient on Hope St. (right next to Seven Stars Bakery) Ernie, the barber, is an excellent barber and a great guy. I'm glad I found this place and I get a lot of compliments on my haircut. Very reasonably priced: $18 for men's haircut. Ernie takes appointments, just call to schedule. Ernie listens to how you want your hair cut and will make you look good. This is a real men's barber shop, for a real men's haircut. If you want to look handsome, get a good haircut. I used to drift from barber shop to barber shop without direction or purpose. It was a loner's life that I wouldn't wish on anyone. (cue the cowboy music...) Eddie is great; I usually call to make reservations, as he can be booked a day or two out depending on holidays/school rushes/those kind of things. Professional, clean, and friendly. The place is small, with one chair and a few seats in the waiting area. Parking might be tough, but I walked from my girlfriend's apartment a couple blocks away. CVS has parking if needed. Ernie pays attention to detail, and is very friendly. Men's cut is $17, and cash only. There's a Bank of America next door if you need cash. The barber is experienced and skilled. But, he is not sensitive, and may not tolerate it if his customer is not happy with the haircut. The barber may get defensive and say "It is not a matter of life and death. It will grow back and look fine in two weeks." Well, that is what he said to me. I will not go back there. read more

There was a bit of a wait late on a Saturday morning, but they work pretty quickly. My son said the barber was friendly and he wanted to wait. On the outside it's clean and nothing fancy. Inside is clean and kept up (which is the most important). As for the job itself - it was his best haircut ever. He's very happy and said finally he got the cut he wanted - smooth and even all around (which has been a struggle in our experience). He listened to the request and delivered, all at the sweet price of $10 (half the price of the basic chain salon). I think we will be coming here for all our men's cuts now!

Definitely not the worst cut he's had but not the best. It's low key $15 anywhere else to just do an undercut which is basically what he left with. The shop itself is clean, busy, has free parking and a dog that greets patrons. Staff are all nice. We arrived early and waited in waiting area and he took him a few minutes early so it's not like he was rushed. Nice guy but probably won't return.

He told me he was going to take the other customer first, and it would only be about 10 minutes. I was going to wait, but after 15 minutes I had to leave because I had other things I needed to get done on my day off. A short while later, I received this text: "Understand that im a barber. Appointments are approximate times. Not set in stone. My chair was open at 11:45. You would have still been finished by 12 noon. I book 30 min Appointments. So you walking out because your vagina was full of sand this morning is highly offensive. And next time you make a face at me will probably not wnd well for you. Have a great day. " I've never in my life seen such a blatant display of unprofessionalism as this, not even considering the low-key threat at the end of the text. I'd like to hope that the barber was just having a very bad day, as I'd never seen this kind of behavior from him before. Even so, I'll be getting my hair cut elsewhere from now on.

Appointments are only accepted on Tues/Weds/Thurs, which relieved me of my anxiety about being turned away as a walk-in. I arrived around 9:45 AM, and there was ample street parking. The shop itself was spacious and clean with a no frills decor. I was immediately seated by a barber, John. John is a man of few words, but is extremely attentive. He asked me what kind of cut I wanted, I answered, and he asked a few clarifying questions. Of the small talk we had, John mostly responded with a protracted, unimpressed "uh huh", but I didn't mind that. It was clear he was involved in the details of my cut. While cutting my hair, he didn't answer phones or respond to any messages, which is all too common at most barber shops, and I greatly appreciate that. In the end, John not only gave me a high-quality cut, he gave me the haircut I asked for. This haircut would easily run me $30 in Providence, but I was only charged $16. I wish I had known about Chop Shop sooner!
