This is a newly built hotel with modern clean rooms. Service is top notch and there is decent a decent free breakfast buffet option. Except for the coffee, it is barely drinkable and you are trapped as there are no coffee shops in the thriving metropolis that is Goliad. My advice is to spring the few extra $ to stay here.

The room has a large TV, DishTV, microwave, iron and board, coffee machine in room. Mini fridge. The beds are surprisingly comfy and had good pillows. It has a desk and a table. The bathroom is small and the alarm clock is across the room. Our only real complaint when we were there was our phone was broken. The staff was nice but only meet one of the people. His family bought the place in 1984 and have run it since then. The breakfast was skimpy with a waffle maker, some cereal, honey buns, coffee and some juice. While non smoking now it does have a lingering smell of smoke from years. It is well lit and easy to spot at night and right near everything we came to see. I saw a few complaints but we didn't really have the issues and we stayed two nights for under $150.00. The shower head is not super powerful but as Austin, where we are from has the water issues it was nice just to shower and drink the water. I would stay here again if we come back.

I'm so glad I found Inn on Main. It has such a charm and personality. A huge difference in the quality of service and value compared to what you expect from a typical small town Hotel. The television powering on in the middle of the night. Bed sheets being pulled off us while we slept. Feeling as if I was being touched and it wasn't my husband. The paranormal energy was far more intense than we'd anticipated--and ultimately, we decided to cut our trip short. Other concerns: The pool was dirty, and while breakfast was tasty, it was surprisingly sparse. As someone who's stayed in many bed and breakfasts, this was the first time I've encountered a buffet-style setup with no table settings, no water service, and a limited selection. What followed was one of the most shocking customer service experiences I've ever had. I spoke with Christine, the manager, who was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She barely let me speak, and essentially called me a liar. I wasn't angry -- I was just trying to explain the situation. Instead, I was treated with cruelty and total disregard. What makes this even more painful is that I'm dealing with serious personal circumstances -- we were there for our aunts funeral, my mother is battling cancer, and I have multiple health issue's myself. Why would I ever waste my time making something like this up? I called to protect other guests and give the hotel a chance to fix the issue. Instead, I was insulted, treated absolutely horrible, and ignored. If you value cleanliness, compassion, or even basic human decency, I strongly recommend you avoid this hotel. Bed bugs are a serious issue, and with all my health issues I have a huge job in front of me, and we don't have the money to hire professionals. I have already spent over $300 for this issue, poison, multiple bag seal containers, a steamer, ext. I had to go see my doctor because with my autoimmune disease this has caused an infection on my skin. Pets are welcome for a small fee and it's easy to get to convenient to everything in Port Lavaca.
