Yesterday I learned a couple of new things ... One was that when my 2011 Prius battery (not the hybrid battery ... the other) goes dead, so does the car. And, the battery is located under the hatch, which has no mechanical release. If the car can't start, it cannot be put in neutral for a regular tow. If it can't be put in neutral, it needs a dolly/flatbed tow. I asked the nearest Toyota dealership if they had a tow company they would recommend ... but when I called to company, they had a phone that did not have voice mail set up. So I looked online to find a tow company that might have experience with dead Priuses. I found Executive Towing and am SO glad I did! I spoke to Tony who got back to me with an estimated arrival of about a half hour. The tow truck showed up on time. And, I will say, Sean B., the driver is the BEST! I told him the problem ... car's battery is dead. I was skeptical when Sean got in the car to pop the hood ... after all ... the battery is under the rear deck. Wellll... it turns out that there is a way to jump start the car from under the hood! And Sean knew exactly what to do! He jump started my car, which meant that I could drive the car to the dealership. He offered to follow me, just to make sure if my car died in transit, I would have a tow available. On my way into work on Thanksgiving afternoon, the car door closed as I turned and said hello to someone in the parking lot. My purse, store keys were on the front seat in plain view for the world to see. It took less than 2 hours for him to show, less than 2 minutes to have my belongings back safely. I can't remember the drivers name, but he was Fantastic! I already felt crappy making someone else work and interrupt his holiday, but he was a great sport and very understanding. I am a mother of 5 with a flat tire on the side of the road. I didn't call for any help by the tow truck stopped and help me put my tire on as I wasn't strong enough to get the lug nuts off myself. Afterwards, they wouldn't except any money from me and told me it was just an act of kindness. Now this is the kind of company that you can trust and do business with! Our '99 540i overheated in the Lowe's parking lot and our insurance company called Executive to come tow us. Brian was our driver and was so nice and definitely knew what he was doing! He had the right tool to hook in to the bumper (no tow hooks on the car) and handled the lowered car perfectly! We will definitely be using them again if needed (which hopefully we won't need a tow again)! read more

Had a breakdown pretty late at night, my insurance paid this company to come get me. Had to wait a little while but that's to be expected on a Friday night late in the evening. Driver arrived at the time they promised, friendly driver, tow truck was well suited and able to hand my extremely low car without damaging it. Would use this company again! Sean, the driver, asked me about the vehicle. I told him about changing the air filter a few days ago. He immediately suggested checking the mass air flow sensor once we got to the dealership.
