I had to pick-up my vehicle that was unfortunately towed. I called their office immediately and was helped right away. Because my vehicle was removed during the weekend, I had to go in on Monday. My partner, who is disabled, has their wheelchair trapped in the vehicle and cannot leave our apartment without it When I called to explain the situation and ask about options, the employee was dismissive and hung up on me. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told there wasn't one. We have no transportation to reach their lot and no funds to pay the fees. I asked if there was any hardship accommodation or if they could at least release the wheelchair, and was told they "can't help" and to "talk to someone when you get there" - despite me explaining we have no way to get there. Okay. I got my car towed to them. Not happy about the situation but I brought it upon myself apparently. But when you call someone is on the other end ready to answer. They are upfront about price over the phone from cash to card (card is extra). They gave me info on breakdown of cost, gave me a receipt with the breakdown. The staff was friendly and greeted me when I came in. Plus my car is lowered and they took care of it no damages other then what I did to it. Worst of the worst. We had to pay $100 to have the vehicle "dropped" when they tried to tow our truck for "lack of handicap placards" ALTHOUGH, it was up for ONE. TWO, the same driver admitted to seeing our vehicle parked in the spot previously with no concerns. THIRD, they did not have prior approval from our apartment complex---this was said to us by the office staff and manager already when they signed up with this POS company. Axle towing recently became the towing company servicing our town home complex. I have been a resident here for about 5 yrs now , the moment they started servicing our complex, they immediately implemented a no backing in parking policy. A policy not even set by our landlord. In the last five years there has been absolutely no policy regarding this . This policy is not in my lease, no wording such like this is anywhere in the contract I signed with the landlord. I don't understand why Axle towing is coming here trying to enforce a policy of their own! No backed in parking!!!! A policy that benefits them only !!!!! A 3rd party interloper. Plain in simple. I understand the reasoning behind the no backed in parking , it's easier to run plates thus they don't have to get out of their vehicle. Unfortunately due to the lack of doing the bare minimum, our apartment complex had my car towed while my husband and I were on vacation June 10th-17th. No warnings, no initiative to locate the owner of the car, no emails to remind the complex tenants to re-enter car information into the complex portal that they, the apartment complex, failed to just move the information over - *nothing*. I have never had my car towed away in my life - you can probably imagine the stress my husband and I were feeling. After many emails to the apartment complex asking for the towing company contact information (it was like pulling teeth out of a cat) - it led us to Axle Towing. I had *no idea* what to expect or even how to proceed as this has never happened to me before. I called on the 18th, spoke with Chrissy (I apologize if the spelling is incorrect) who made it so incredibly easy on what our options were and how to proceed. Due to the hefty fee (as the car was towed on the 14th without us knowing) and the car itself was under some major maintenance problems, we chose to "surrender" the car over to the towing company which would waive the fees according to their policies. Chrissy explained everything very thoroughly and I never felt like I was judged or causing a nuisance. After dealing with the stress, anxiety and failure of being helpful from the apartment complex, it was very refreshing that the process was so easy and Chrissy even helped us today in-person with surrendering the car over. if i could give 0 stars i would. i parked in front of the drive way of a house that i'm dogsitting at at 11pm, came out to my car at 8am being gone. they charged me $300 to pick it up within hours. they also told me they would provide me picture proof of me being on a fire curb and never did. they were rude to me on the phone and in person until i paid them and then they smiled at me and told me to have a great day. i was not able to go into work today because of this. and i can't get the marker off of my windshield. coincidentally when i picked up my car my gas went from a quarter tank to my gaslight being on and my check engine light turned on. i couldn't imagine working for this place and feeling satisfied with myself. i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Neither Walmart nor the security company called to have my truck towed, and when called the woman became irate I demanded the name of the company who called in the tow, the date, time and person who called. They then towed it 22 miles away and refuses to take my calls. I have filed a stolen vehicle report with Mesa PD and will do anything and everything to bring up the company and driver up on felony charges. This company should be shut down!! I had a motorcycle accident and had to get to the ER so I parked my truck in the neighborhood guest parking right next to my house and got a ride to the hospital. The truck was parked at 2am, they came by at 3:44am and without a warning broke into my truck and towed it. Worst of all this was done in the morning of memorial day while i was still in the ER, so they charged for overnight storage. When I brought up the fact that the truck was locked when I left it and somehow unlocked in their yard, the guy at the desk denied having broken into the truck, but there are marks on the inside of the driver door showing that someone broke into it. I am a small business owner with no need for a towing service however, if you are a business DO NOT HIRE THESE DIRT BAGS. I have lived at the same apartment complex for two years with the same vehicle, not even a windshield replacement or new license plate. The apartment policy for residents is you have to have your hanging placard displayed OR the adhesive bar code required to get in after hours. I went down to go to work on a Monday morning to find my vehicle no where in the parking lot. I had a terrible feeling AS TWO OF OUR GUESTS HAVE BEEN TOWED DESPITE EVERY EFFORT TO PARK IN THE DESIGNATED SPOTS. I called the towing company and asked if they had my vehicle. They stated they did. I asked why it was towed they said it didn't have the placard displayed. I stated that isn't the company's policy. The dirt bags who i spoke to on the phone said I have to provide a copy of the lease to prove i am a resident to get a discount when i pick my vehicle up. I got angry, rightfully so. My vehicle is paid off and I have the title. They told me to "shut up so we can tell you how to get your car back." You illegally towed a vehicle with the proper identification. I called back after being hung up on 3 times to speak with a woman named Chris who was very nice. She informed me that she could see the proper barcode displayed the diver must not have seen it. She said it was hard to see. It has been in the same spot for over 2 years without moving it. So for 2 years I was told "I got lucky not getting towed." Even though guests have towed within the hour allegedly not parking in the proper spot. They told me they would "release" my vehicle free of charge but I have to pick it up today otherwise I will be charged a storage fee. I don't know how I am supposed to make it to a towing company 45 minutes away to retrive my paid off vehicle as it is a Monday and everyone is at work. They close at 5 so i wont be able to get my vehicle today. I asked and then demanded after I was told no, for my vehicle to be towed back to the apartment complex. This has to be the most crooked tow company I've ever come across. They recently towed a deployed service members vehicle. He has been out of country for 10 months in Jordan and Syria. He often has no cell service for days at a time. He was never informed his vehicle was towed/impounded. We found out it was towed and contacted the company. They basically laughed at us. I was given the most disgusting attitude and was hung up on multiple times. During his deployment his registration had lapsed and expired, getting mail in Syria isn't exactly an easy thing. We were told we would need his current registration in hand in order to obtain the vehicle. We didn't have that. His command informed him to bring all of his documents on deployment in case his vehicle is stolen etc while he is over seas. Unfortunately we can't obtain a copy of the registration because the army moved us to a new state and we are not able to bring the vehicle in to register it in this state (it is impounded) so basically they stole a deployed service members vehicle. It's funny to go in and see the pledge of allegiance on their wall and the American flag. This liberal crooked company clearly has no respect or decency for soldiers who are fighting for them. It's truly sad. Hoping the SCRA will have more information to start a lawsuit against them. Please tread carefully with this company. They charge the highest in the area for daily fees, hook fees and admin fees. I witnessed them lie to someone about pricing. They told them over the phone something was $20 customer came in and they said "it's actually $30". On December 24th, 2023 at approximately 7:30pm (yes, Christmas Eve) my son's car was discovered missing from the curb in front of my sister's home. We immediately called the local police department to check if it was towed and they had no record (yet). There was no posting of no parking anywhere on her street, we have plenty of photos and videos showing this. We did ultimately discover a minuscule 6" x 12" non-reflective sign at the entry to the property which is not "clearly visible and readable" from a passing vehicle or even standing several feet away due to a font size that would be more appropriate on a sheet of notebook paper than on signage. I then called Axle Towing & Impound to see if they indeed had our vehicle. No one answered and I left a message. Arizona Revised Statute - ARS 9-499.05 clearly states that "The owner or agent of the owner of the private property shall be deemed to have given consent to unrestricted parking by the general public in any parking area of the private property unless such parking area is posted with signs as prescribed by this subsection which are clearly visible and readable from any point within the parking area AND at each entrance. " Seeing as there was no signage at the area where this vehicle was parked or anywhere on the street where parked, this is clearly an illegal tow. We also found evidence that the vehicle was dragged nearly the length of a football field (I have the actual measurement of the tire drag marks) before the driver stopped and put dollies under the rear tires. My daughter's vehicle was parked on the same street but facing the opposite direction, so my son's car was the easier target. As we were exiting the neighborhood, two additional Axle Towing trucks pulled into the neighborhood, and we suspected that they were returning to tow my daughter's car. We followed them for a minute or so until one of the trucks stopped and the driver exited. We had a brief conversation in which I asked the driver if he or the other driver dragged my vehicle. While he never answered the question, his body language made me quickly suspect that he had done it. He suggested that I contact the owner Brian at their office number, and I informed him that we had called and left a message already. The other driver then joined our conversation. I then questioned him as to why one of them had dragged my car 300' down the road. He sarcastically responded, "And the issue is?" admitted that the vehicle had indeed been dragged and then lied and stated, "You're parked in a fire lane bro". There is no marked fire lane. We went back and forth a bit more as you can see in the YouTube video at https://youtu.be/UnWVJiBraQY, and he scurried off back to his truck while acrimoniously wishing us a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. So unprofessional. We were the first victims at Axle Towing & Impound this morning at 9am sharp where we got to meet two more of this company's employees, Tanya and Brent. After supplying registration and ID, I quickly explained why this tow was illegal according to ARS 9-499.05 and how there are no signs on the street that we were towed from. She then read the code from her computer screen to which I agreed and then repeated that there was no signage on the street in the parking area, making it illegal. I then addressed the dragging of our vehicle to which Tonya replied that the car was reportedly brought in on dollies. I explained that yes, it may have arrived on dollies but the marks in the street indicated that it was dragged a significant distance before that happened. Tanya then shifted the conversation back to the ARS code in which she now claimed that the presence of signage at the entryway and at the parking area was a "Phoenix ARS code" and the one that they're bound to follow was for a "city ARS code" in which signage only must be at the entrance, contradicting her own words from when we first arrived. I quickly corrected her and let her know that ARS stands for Arizona Revised Statutes and there is no such thing as a "city ARS Code." After all of that, they still felt the need to charge us $325 for an illegal tow, which we paid under duress, and to mitigate any further fraudulent charges by this unscrupulous company. They even have the gall to make you sign a document that attempts to release them from any damage responsibility before you're able to inspect it and before they will release your vehicle. This is known as a duress of goods and basically amounts to them holding your vehicle for ransom. We certainly will be filing a small claims suit against them for the illegal tow and for damages to our vehicle and will update this once that has been brought to resolution. If I could leave zero stars I would. Axle towing tried towing my car when it was parked in compliance with my HOA's rules. The tow driver asked for CASH ONLY which was suspicious to begin with and didn't unhook the car until I asked to read the order which said cars would be illegally parked a whole two hours after he was trying to tow it. Axle staff is rude, hostile, RACIST, and engages in illegal practices. They used the N-word against a young man and made several threats to him and me, saying they'd be looking for our vehicles to tow again. Axle Towing and Impound engages in predatory and illegal practices and should be held accountable for their actions. I had to call Apache Junction police 3 times, they came to the scene twice- once to make Axle Towing and Impound release a vehicle as they were holding it illegally, and again after they used racist language and made threats against us. Tow and impound businesses can't hold a vehicle for money, can't keep a vehicle from its owner for towing and storage fees, they must return a vehicle to its owner when provided proof of ownership by owner or owner's agent. Depending on the city, they may have to make vehicles available at all hours, they may have to release a vehicle before making it to impound, and they may have to stop the towing process before removing a vehicle in the first place. Check the city's codes for the correct information. A middle-aged couple arrived close to 8 am, apparently staff, to open their trailer business. I approached them outside asking about a car police already confirmed Axle towed the night before. The male staff member motioned for me to wait as they both went inside. I returned to my car and a few moments later he opened the door and motioned for me to come inside. They acted as if they didn't know why I was there or what car I had asked about. The female staff member had an especially unpleasant tone and mannerisms from the start. When I explained the vehicle had been illegally towed, she talked over me. She said the car had been backed in and the lot didn't allow that. I informed her that I had seen the signs after the fact, and they appeared to be for covered parking only and not the uncovered parking the car was in. No signs were located near where it was parked and none were legible from there. She continued demanding $300 and asking for a card. She would not engage in any civil conversation, would not answer questions, she only demanded $300 in a very rude manner. I left the trailer, said it wasn't necessary to behave that way, and returned to my vehicle to call police again. Another staff member (are they all related?) arrived with her two babies, to work in this sick and hostile environment. When the officer arrived, he talked with me and then went inside to inform staff they must release the vehicle and can't demand payment to do so. He told to staff to let me access the car to obtain the registration, so I could take possession of my vehicle. When I first found the car, it had new scratches all over it, a big dent in the right rear bumper, the tow punch was out, and it wouldn't unlock with the key fob. I took several pictures and found my registration. I pulled up to the gate and brought the registration to the staff members in the trailer. They said the registration was not valid and made a big deal of it. I went back to the car looking for another registration, then realized the registration I had was indeed valid and brought it back to show the officer and the staff. They required I sign a paper with charges for towing and storage. I signed only that I had received the paper, and did not agree to pay. The officer left, as we both believed I should have no problem removing my vehicle at that point. Two other apparent staff members, another middle-aged couple, arrived and entered the trailer while I was inside. My companion and I drove the car out of the impound. I stopped to take pictures before getting into my other vehicle to leave. As I was taking pictures of the property and the vehicles staff arrived in in order to identify the individuals involved in the illegal holding of vehicles for money and other bad practices, the first couple and the younger woman who had arrived with her babies all came outside yelling at me to delete the pictures. This was especially ridiculous, as their business was recording everything as well, and they don't get to decide who can take pictures of their property or what can be done with those pictures. I flipped them off and returned to my vehicle. They continued yelling, saying they would find the car they'd illegally towed the night before and tow it again. The male staff member said to my companion, "N*gg#r, I'm coming for you at ______", stating the location they had originally towed the vehicle from. Yes, he actually said the N-word, the whole word, with a hard "R", and he is a very white man. All three continued yelling and threatening to tow our cars again as we gave them the finger and drove away. I called AJPD again. The same cop called me, saying he had seen the video from the business but there was no audio. The business did not want me to return. He said he'd been in my shoes and hoped I was able to get justice. We must stop these predatory businesses from committing further illegal acts! read more

Illegal business!! Towed my car illegally & held it illegally, I will be calling the police once I'm able to go get my car & making a report, I shouldn't have to pay for visiting a friend I always visit & park where I always park! which we do not need a pass to be there & where there was no signs posted for no parking, ridiculous! also complaining to the apartment complex! read more
