They both arrived within the arrival window and got straight to work. They finished by the expected time they provided, and made sure to leave the garage nice and clean. They explained how to use the remotes and all the settings. The door is really quiet! I never thought a door could be that quiet. We had the liftmaster side mount opener installed, so there is no belt/pulley system taking up ceiling space. The garage door looks amazing! Our old door was plain, so I added magnetic hardware to spruce it up. Because the new door has a nice WOW factor to it, I won't be using the magnets. When I confronted them about the original quote, they quickly changed it back to $350. This made it feel like the pricing wasn't fixed or transparent, and that the final amount depended on whether the customer questioned it. B) Incorrect diagnosis of my garage opener The technician told me my garage door opener was "broken" because it was "missing the blue adjustment knobs." This was incorrect. My opener model by design has the adjustment screws inset inside the housing, not externally. The opener itself was fully functional. Because of this misdiagnosis, the technician claimed they "could not finish the job," specifically referring to the safety reverse feature, which they said could not be adjusted. The safety feature still does not work, and I now have to correct it myself. C) Lack of itemization on the invoice The invoice listed the entire spring replacement as labor, with no separate parts line. Because the springs were sold with a lifetime warranty, not itemizing the parts makes it unclear what portion of the charge was for labor versus the springs themselves. If the springs ever fail, this lack of transparency could leave me paying the full labor charge again, even though the springs should be covered. This felt misleading and not very customer‑friendly.

I called a company 3 years ago called Garage Door and Gate Repair, they replaced a broken garage door spring(s) both have to be replaced. The person who showed up took advantage of the situation and sold me on purchasing "heavy duty" with an extended warranty (7 yrs). Something didn't seem right and I didn't want another problem with the springs breaking causing perhaps more damage to the opener, cars underneath, etc... so I called Dave, had him come and inspect the springs. He made some calculations and said the springs installed were actually undersized and Not heavy duty? And by law regular spring should last close to 10yrs. Had him change out the springs and paid half of what I paid the other guy and got "real heavy duty spring" and a 15 year warranty. Thanks Dave for educating me on garage spring(s) sizing and not taking advantage like the other guy. Everyone: Please do yourself a favor, go ahead and call around ask how much to replace your garage door springs, if they don't give you the price mentioned on Dave website don't do it, unless you like throwing money away?
