So I was in need of a replacement garage door unit, and called several different local companies to get a quote for a wall mount unit to give me some overhead clearance. The quotes I received ranged from outrageous to ridiculous, even when I asked if I bought the unit elsewhere and just needed the installation. About my 8th or 9th call, I contacted Brian at Diamond Valley. His cost on the unit was much better than the other companies but I am very cheap so I asked how much the labor would be if I provided the unit. He beat the lowest price by $150 on the labor!!! I ordered the unit on eBay, like I said I'm cheap. He was able to come by a day after I called and even with the wrong spring (installed by someone else before I bought the house) was able to fix the problem and cleanly install the wall mount unit and even wires in my security system garage sensor and cleaned up all the excess wiring left by the previous homeowner. Brian is very knowledgeable, friendly and honest, not out to gouge you. He also does garage door installs which we will do in a year or two and we will definitely call Brian at Diamond Valley. Our garage door functioned but was in rough shape. I had one company come out and access. There was a broken spring that I couldn't see. He explained the situation and proceeded to give me two options... either replace the spring system or pretty much replace the whole garage door system including the door.
