I purchased a vehicle from this company March 2018. I was told that the vehicle did not need any extensive repairs. I should have known better. First off, the interior of the vehicle was disgusting upon delivery ( actually having the car in my possession) and the taillight stopped working). I was told they don't offer warranties on any vehicle in Jersey City AT ALL, they don't have to by law. Also it took months to receive the actual title for the vehicle, we had to park it because the temporary registration expired. The owner tried to work with us by offering to clean the car and boasting that we would have access to his mechanic should any issues arise. All this while making sarcastic comments such as "you didn't have to purchase the vehicle, this car is discounted, blah blah blah..." What excuse is that for poor customer service? Someone knew this car was trash. They took the money because they saw I was naive. We upgraded the car and tried to sell it back. When we arrived and they saw it was the car they sold us they said "we don't have room on the lot, we can't buy it!" #bunchofcrooks Long story short the car was JUNK! I spend over $2000.00 in repairs in one year, and then the computer system failed. The repairs were MAJOR! Power steering went out, both cat converters failed, the tire rods gave out..one thing after another. I sold it this past May for little to nothing because our mechanic notified us the electrical system in this car was trash! My husband is disabled and now we don't have a decent running car. They ripped us off ROYALLY! Don't spend your money there. They do not care about honesty and are not loyal to their customers at all! read more

My Daughter who has limited income and 4 children to feed, went to Exotic Motor Cars in Elizabeth, NJ and got totally ripped off, First the car she had originally came to see had an obvious major oil leak, so they sold her another junker which died within a few miles of leaving the lot, they got it running again, now check engine codes keep popping up, car running bad, so far this dealer has refused to refund her money. Don't waste your time, trade in my excellent condition BMW with Nissan Rogue 2012 Both of Wheel bearing in the front broken, back to them MR Alex said okay we'll change no problem And they changed only 1, tires; brand new in the front but uneven very cheap so much noisy.... I decide to loan the difference of trade 3500$ And After 3 weeks I recognized that Mr. Alex charged 2 times fees for registration 3999$ instead 3500$ and 500$ more about he said for our office work never told me... but the best happened to me 1 week later after 2 months I took the car the engine was very bad Transmission broken he didn't want to fix 2500$ damage can u believe? Do yourself a favor and do not purchase a car here at this trust-less dealership. Your life may be in danger. My experience with Exotic Automotive Group started on 03/13. I purchased a Hyundai Elantra 2014. Mohammed, the seller, did not let me test drive till only i made the payment (6k). On my way home, the car started falling, it completely stopped in the middle of the road. Somebody almost crashed me on the back. On the car's dashboard, the oil change sign was appearing. I thought that the car was needing an oil change and stopping was a car's computer mechanism to protect the engine. I changed the oil and the same problem was occurring. I decided to take it to the dealer to be fixed by them. Their attitude was very rude when I asked them about to get my money back because I purchased a car to ride, not to fix it. I recorded when Mohammed was talking to me with profanity. They are blaming my family's mechanic to have damaged the engine. After parking the car inside their property, they tried to turn on the car but it was not working. They had to apply human force and they parked it outside close to the road. They "offered" to fix the car. They contacted me on 03/27saying that the car was fixed and they left the car with guy who works at the gas station next to the dealership. How unprofessional is leaving a key car with somebody unknown for the owner. I thought my problem will be fixed but far from it, it is not. I picked up the car today 03/28 and the it is still as i left it. I almost got hit again on my way home while driving it. I'm gonna take legal actions with them. My lawyer will be contacting them. I tried to negotiate with them to get a good car regardless if the price was higher or my money back. They did not accept it. They are scammers!! read more

Dealership lures people with dishonest ads online, often with salvage title cars, which they won't disclose until they're at the dealership. I applied for an auto loan and gave the bank the vin number for a vehicle from their dealership, but the bank notified me it was a salvage title. I did some research on them and apparently they have a whole inventory of salvaged cars they're selling for cash price but they won't disclose it on ads or over the phone-only when customers get to the dealership during hard inquiries for auto loans read more

As our family grew we needed a bigger car so I decided to go with a mini van two year ago and Mo was very helpful he got me a great used Honda Odessy that fit my budget and had everything I needed. I never had any issues with my car and I had it for over two years now, so when my husband decided to change his car we knew just the place to go, he got a great BMW for a bargain we all loved it specially my older daughter she wants to live in it . Mo is a great guy to deal with you get the feeling that he really cares about his customers and he'll find the the best car for you and your budget. I purchase a car 2 months ago and I haven't even been able to register it, title has all types of mistakes on it; not to mention they took it twice for repairs, while out on repairs the mechanic gets a ticket on my temporary plate, and doesn't say anything... each time I go it's a different story... the saga is still continuing, hopefully Lemon Law will help me out if not Civil Court will... please save your money for a real dealership with decent cars... don't say I didn't warn you!!!!! read more

I got my car a week ago from Mohammed at Exotic Automotive group. I walked in and was helped inmediately, shown the 2 cars I was interested in, and was able to schedule a test drive for the next day. One of the cars had been sold by the next day but I ended up going with the other one - a Toyota Corolla LE 2009. Mohammed worked with me on making a good deal, setting up insurance and took care of paperwork. He also ensured that a few minor concerns were addressed the following day by his mechanic, Gus, who was very professional and had my headlight and taillight replaced within a few minutes, and new brakes put in the next day. Mohammed even stopped by while I was at the mechanic shop to make sure everything was going well. So far my car drives very well and Mohammed answers my calls/texts. If I can give no stars I would. I drove all the way out there which was not a close drive for me, just so I can find out the car was being sold or in the process of it. Every time I called, I got a new person and they had no idea what was going on with the car, like if the person who submitted a deposit was approved for financing it. After purchasing the vehicle and driving off the lot same day within the next week I started experiencing issues with the engine. As I was driving to work one morning the car began to shake and I barely made it to work. I decided to pop the hood because the check engine light began blinking. When I open the hood of the Hyundai to my surprise the engine had no oil which was unusual The oil sticker that place on my windshield says that it has been changed 7/04/18 which to later find out was fake. Later that day the car shuts off completely blowing black smoke out the exhaust. I tried to to tow it back to Mo and Alex but they refuse the tow on arrival. I had to pay towing fees and still paying a car insurance and a car note with a useless car. They screwed me over and now its going to cost me even more trying to seek legal actions for my lost wages :( . HORRIBLE car dealer!! I give them 0 star, but there is no 0 star option. I bought a car from here last year, and I had the following major and many minor problems in last 1 year 1. the car was not inspected, and after 3 days the check engine light went on, I called they simple ignored me. I had to send %1500 to fix it and finally it passed inspection. I asked him about any inspection problem, he lied to me! 2. when it rain, water goes into teh car. I figured this out after it rained. I guess I sent another $500 to fix that problem 3. due to the "water going into it" problem all the fuses blow up and I spent some money to fix that problem too 4. after one month the lock system stop working, I went to dealer they said this is not original lock, and they asked for $3000 to fix it. I fix in some other mechanic. 5. now the car is leaking coolant, gas, and oil. I gave it to teh car junkers DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!! read more

These guys are GREAT and so are their used cars! Best place to buy, especially if you live in NYC/Jersey City area--good car choices, fair prices, and no b.s. I went straight to the inspection station with my shiny "new" 2010 Hyundai Accent, and it passed with no issues, just as they said it would. Check their website for current inventory. If you don't buy a car the first time you go to Exotic, you'll probably go back to them after you've looked elsewhere. But if they have a car you like at the price you want, I wouldn't hesitate, because it will probably be gone by the time you get back. read more
