After doing some research on my own, I expected this to cost at most $50 so when I received a bill for $150, I was shocked. I worked with Curtis while I was there who was super helpful and very welcoming when I arrived. When I received the bill, he helped explain everything to me and resolve some of the questions I had. Overall, if you're visiting this location for a full service check, oil change, etc, I'd recommend this location and working with Curtis, but if you have a minor issue, I'd probably just go to your local gas station as the pricing will likely be way cheaper. read more

Was contacted a week prior for a factory recall issue on my vehicle. Made an appointment to resolve the issue at 730 am when they opened. The day before I arrive I receive a call confirming my appointment. Somehow when I arrive I'm already 20 cars behind and told it'll be 3 hours. After over an hour of waiting I am told by the guy behind the customer service desk "good news you're good to go!" But the bad news is they don't even have the part to fix the recall issue as they apparently ran out of them last night. I guess they didn't feel the need to alert the customer or even apologize for the screw up. This is far from the first issue I've had with them. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this experience was very disappointing. I called at 9:17 AM to schedule an oil change and was given an appointment for 9:45 AM, which I have confirmation for. During that call, I specifically asked if the service would take long because I had work, and I was told it would be quick. I arrived on time for my 9:45 AM appointment and waited 30 minutes just to be told that the oil change would take a couple of hours. After speaking with the manager, I was then told it would take another hour, even though I had already waited and had been assured it would be quick. As a result, my time was wasted, I used gas for no reason, and the oil change was never completed. This could have been avoided with honest communication from the beginning. I was basically pushed into buying an extended warranty on a used car, with the classic line: "You can always cancel it later if you want." That turned out to be complete BS. I bought the car in April 2025. In May 2025, I physically went to their office and filled out the cancellation form. It's now January 2026, and the cancellation still hasn't been processed. No refund. Nothing. Try calling Delio Coutinho, their Director of Finance (or rather the Director of Scam). Always "in meetings," never actually gets anything done. Then there's Shawn Bertrand, who claimed the cancellation should have gone through for months. It didn't. At all. The rest of the employees are shady too, but at least they don't seem to be outright lying, more like covering for their greedy lazy managers. At this point, it just feels intentional. Months of delays, zero accountability, and constant runarounds. If this isn't deliberate stalling, it's incompetence at a level that shouldn't exist in a dealership. The salesman told us the vehicle came with VIN etching and a mat and mud guard package installed by the dealership which would run us an additional $2200, I advised that I had no interest in any of those things, he then added the $799 dealership fee to the Truecars.com offer which stated that dealership fees were already included. We presented an offer which was $1800 over what was initially calculated using the true cars.com offer. He went to his manager who returned and completely ignored everything and even came with a higher price. I asked him if he would be honoring the truecar agreement and he said yes but the price would remain as he said. I declined and explained that it was more than we catered for because we had no interest in Vin Etching or the Mud guard and mat package. He then explained that the cars come from the manufacturer like that which was the opposite of what the salesman said. If a car is coming from a manufacturer with my guards and mats, why am I paying you and additional $2000 for those "add-ons" and why can't I decline the same way I can decline it when building the model I want on the website. The process didn't take very long overall since we wanted to skip the test drive and avoid handing anyone our license and went with the intention of purchasing said vehicle. The salesman needed to be more convincing in the dream he was selling us since several of the things he was mentioning had holes in it as I was googling what he was saying in real time and realizing they were lies. She mentioned they can work with it if I come in. Well, that's not true. I was handed to Justin upon arrival and things just went south in just 1 minutes of talking. He refused to do test drive and said they don't do trade in (don't even bother providing a quote) and they only sell above MSRP. So whatever discussion I have with the first agent is just useless. This can cause damage to the transmission, drive shaft, gaskets, and more. When I returned, I was told the coverage didn't apply because of the tire brand mismatch--despite this being their choice. I try to avoid this Honda service center at all cost. Haven't been here in quite some time but the number of phone calls, text, emails a day to get new/returning customers is crazy. Opted out of what I could. Anyway, had to service my car here for an oil change recently. Long line to wait for a representative (only 2 people) to complete the car intake. Took about 20 minutes. Nice enough to provide a coupon for the oil change though. And once I signed my life on the dotted line, I was told the wait time was 1 hr and 30 minutes. Looking back at my old review this must be the common catch phrase because the service took 3 hours and 20 minutes. Absurd! One lady complained and walked up to the car sales personnel to find out who the manager was. Every last one of them said "o I don't know who the manager is". Really? You work here and don't know who provides your paycheck? Lol. So she walked to the service counter and again was ignored. Nobody cared that all of us had been waiting forever at this point. Like I explained to Elvis, whoever the tech was had cleaned off the oil from the transmission. If Elvis had let me show him my pictures, I have more proof of the leak because it wasn't just on the transmission itself. I wouldn't be surprised if the technician didn't remove the black panel next to the transmission and that traces of oil is still there. I've attached the pictures to illustrate my point. I was under the car with the third party mechanic taking these pictures and have the report to prove it. I did my due diligence before coming, hoping that this problem would get resolved quickly. I would much rather not have this problem but now that I am aware, all I wanted was for Honda to fix the issue. This whole experience with Metro Honda has been frustrating to say the least, especially given the fact that I have photographic proof of the oil leak. I look up at my coin holder, which had $5+ of quarters prior to service, and the entirety of them were gone. So not only was the service subpar, but they ransacked my car, moved around my belongings, and stole my money. SHADY!! I Am so tempted to report Metro Honda to the BBB over this one... I contacted them regarding a civic they had listed for 29k. The salesman, Curtis told me that was the asking price and I attempted to make a down payment over the phone, to pick it up the following day. Curtis said he and his dealership do not do that and told me I needed to come in. However I live 90 minutes away and want an out the door price, which I thought was fair. Curtis kept being short, claiming that managers had to do that and that they were too busy to give me the final price. I said because I was traveling so far I'd like to be insured that the price was 29k, and asked about dealer fees. Curtis said the dealer added approximately $700 in fees which is listed on their website and then 6.1% sales tax. I said ok, and ended the call. Several hours later I had a bad feeling about what he said to me, since it seemed too good to be true, an honest dealership. I called back and asked to speak with a manager. The manager, who did not give his name said he wooluld work over the numbers and get back to me. An hour later I got a text from Curtis, who told me the final price was $51,602! Not kidding, the price went from 29k to 51k. I am so glad I did not drive down there because I would have flipped my top! Curtis said that was due to taxes, fee's, and adjustments! Metro Honda was a terrible experience. on 10/25 I went in to look at a Honda Civic, but was told that the car wasn't ready for sale despite being listed on the website. I was shown a few other cars as well. I settled on a 2016 Subaru Forester that was listed online in the same price range as the Honda and went for a test drive. The actual price was several thousand dollars more than the price listed online. It seemed fine and I signed the papers on it and drove it home after scheduling some service to fix an A/C issue. I was promised that the dealership would cover the cost of that expense and any other issue that cropped up. When I got to my service appointment on the 28th, the shop was slammed and I was asked to reschedule, which I did for 11/4. The day before my new appointment, the engine started smoking and I immediately let the dealership know. I was encouraged to bring the car in and let the shop know what happened. After dropping off the car and waiting several hours I was told that the dealership wouldn't be servicing the vehicle at all since it was sold "as is", not even the A/C issue that I was promised. I took the car the Subaru dealership where it was last serviced before being sold to Metro and they told me that the previous owner brought the car in with the smoking engine issue before selling it, never had it addressed (which is why the Carfax didn't list it) and then sold it to Metro. I was sold a car that had catastrophic engine damage when the dealership bought it, and now I'm on the hook for $6-$7K to fully replace the engine. Metro wouldn't connect me to the General Manager and is now blocking my calls to the dealership. Avoid this dealership like the plague. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! This dealership is filled with LIARS. I went into a lease deal for a 2024 Honda Prologue on November 2, 2024 at Metro Honda in Jersey City. I dealt with Daniel, a young and new salesman, with the deal being closed by his sales manager Jay. As I was incredibly hesitant about moving forward with this deal, Jay and Daniel worked hard to bring the car to a payment I could realistically afford, with the following incentives: save money on gas, receive a discount for driving an electric vehicle with EZ pass, and utilize the tax credit once I file my taxes. With this information, I proceeded into the lease agreement. Fast forward to now, in an attempt to file my taxes with the tax credit I was promised, my federal return continues to be rejected due to the VIN number not being reported to the IRS. When I inquired about this, the dealership refused to give me the necessary forms, telling me that they've never heard of the forms REQUIRED by the IRS. It appears that they are not reporting these sales to the IRS, or if they are, they are refusing to provide these to their customers. They refused to provide me with a time of sales report. They. have no form where I indicated that I would be transferring the tax credit to the dealership in order to lower my car payment. After days of trying to resolve this from a distance with Daniel, my original salesman, he was not able to provide me the time of sales report or the confirmation from the IRS that the vehicle had been reported correctly, I went into Honda myself. They NOW insist that the discount I received on the car was me verbally transferring the tax credit to the dealership. This is not itemized on any contract nor was there ever any written agreement to this. In fact, it is the OPPOSITE of what was said to me. Now they are asking me why I am all of sudden thinking I am entitled to the tax rebate. While I know dealerships are currently offering the rebate at the time of purchase, this was NOT the agreement in November. I was flat out told I would benefit from the tax credit by the sales manager Jay. This was clearly a lie to close the deal. They have NO manager at this time and Delio, claiming to be some manager is degrading and demeaning, trying to tell me how to do my taxes correctly, after conveying information directly from my accountant. Terrible Experience I went in with the intention of buying a car and trading my older car in. The sales man we met was helping us in coming up with an offer. Then we were summoned into the managers office to talk to Ron B(Sales Manager), please note all other managers walked over to the client to speak as it is a sign of being polite. He then started to speak in a loud tone and started spewing comments that were out of line. He told me that it was good that I brought a guy with me since he knows what he's talking about. Then went on to speak about how my sunglasses were expensive but I am here negotiating a car payment. He was making derogatory marks that led me to believe he was sexist since I (female) was questioning the pricing. He was getting aggressive about his pricing and that we should agree to what he is saying. Even the sales man thought the manager was out of line. Overall the manager was disrespectful and should not be allowed to speak with clients in general since it appears he does not know how to communicate with clients in a well behaved manner. Review is based on the service center: I received a call from Metro Honda regarding service for my HRV. She expressed that I am due for an oil change and a fuel pump recall. I already handled the oil change but the fuel pump recall is something i've been trying to resolve since April 2021. The lady on the phone stated she would order the part and it should be at the dealer ship within a week which is when I had my appointment. The appointment was for a software update and fuel pump recall. When I got to the service center, we did the normal routine and was told to stand by until an advisor is available. The guy that took my car told me to walk over to one of the advisors but when I got there he looked confused. Any who, I was told to wait in the waiting room and my car shouldn't take longer than an hour. The waiting room was very BLAH, i've been to better. 3 and a half hours went by and the advisor stated nothing was done because the part is not in. I didn't understand how that was possible since I spoke to the lady on the phone and she scheduled my appointment. So 3 and a half hours was wasted for nothing. They stated they will call me when the part was in but I still have not heard from them and it's been over a month. I wasn't the only one annoyed, there were people there who were complaining about the lack of service and how long they were waiting. Also, while I was waiting for my car the same lady called me to talk about my fuel pump so it was a bit annoying because if you supposedly ordered my part and made my appointment why are you calling me again for the same issue? Eso fue una completa falacia. 2- Antes de compartir las propuestas conmigo, el vendedor anotó en una hoja de papel: Mi puntaje de crédito, mi presupuesto, número de teléfono, etc. Luego procedió a escribir una pregunta. Señalando el papel me dijo: "Aquí se le pregunta lo siguiente. Si encontramos un auto, QUE LE GUSTE, dentro de su presupuesto, lo compraría hoy?" Yo respondí de manera afirmativa. Luego se me solicitó firmar "el documento". Lo cual hice sin conocer la doble intención que tenían. Es bueno destacar que la pregunta no se redactó como se me leyó. 3- Cuando me mostraron las propuestas, noté que ambas tenían el precio que estaba reflejado en el vehículo que había visto. Es decir, ellos mintieron descaradamente con relación al valor real del auto. Procedí a cuestionar al vendedor al respecto. En ese momento, él se dirigió a hablar con el gerente. Cuando regresó trajo una "nueva propuesta". Esta tenía "algunos descuentos" ¿Cómo lo hicieron? Removiendo varios de los beneficios que estaban enumerados en la propuesta inicial, todo esto sin consultármelo. Hubo falta de transparencia en el precio del vehículo desde el principio. 4- Notando que no estaba abierta a aceptar la propuesta planteada, el vendedor procedió a integrar a uno de los gerentes a nuestra conversación. Este llegó con una actitud arrogante. De hecho, le habló en tono humillante incluso a su hijo, quien se acercó a traerle una botella de agua. Luego de ese desagradable incidente, el manager tomó el papel que yo había firmado, lo levantó y en todo MOLESTO dijo: "Tú dijiste que si te conseguimos un vehículo dentro de tu presupuesto te lo llevarías hoy." Luego agregó: "Aquí está tu firma." Su objetivo era venderme un vehículo a como diera lugar. Claro, sin ningún tipo de respeto, tacto, o estrategia de venta efectiva. El terminó levantándose de la silla. Mientras se dirigía a su escritorio, yo lo bendije y le deseé excelentes ventas. ¡Qué chantaje y descaro tan grande! Metro Honda, deben saber a quien emplean en su empresa. Ojo mi gente, no se dejen engañar. No firmen documentos sin antes leer de manera detenida lo que dice. This place straight up sucks - I leased my car here unfortunately and have taken it here for "service" twice. Each time I have an appointment it takes so long to even be seen and to do the service takes hours. Today I went it for an oil Change and they called me and quoted me at $50 for that plus $600 for other nonsense. I of course declined that and when I went to pick up my car the number magically jumped to $75. After hours of " servicing"my car , I was also super annoyed when they called me at 3 to tell me my car was ready and they close at 5. A woman called me back 20 minutes later asking me when I was coming telling me she would prefer if I was here at 4:30 cause by 5 "she's out the door" . Oh but if I wanted to leave my car there I could always pay over the phone she said. Unbelievable! They also call you non stop to buy back your car - it's almost harassment . I will not be leasing/buying another car from here. read more

Never ever ever buy a car here, unless you want to be treated like an idiot and promised things that could not be delivered. I came in to fix a few problems with the car and was "greeted" by an extremely rude employee who told me that what I needed couldn't be done, even though I called and made an appt and gave them a list of what is needed. Car buying is so tough now ! I know chip shortage is really making it difficult ! No stock everywhere ! No test drives .. buyers have no options for car colors or interiors :( . I always have been a fan of Honda and I hope things become better for car dealers and customers :) read more
