And they even offer specialized training just in general or even more specific so you can be a little more aware and a little more knowledgeable when it comes to any firearm. (Prices) Now let's clear something up,, not just about this place, but almost there every other place that deals with any type of firearm ... since we live here in this state, everything is expensive, don't think 80s or 90s prices don't look on the Internet and think that you're gonna get that price because the state of California has made it harder with all types of taxes and more fees . Which intern makes it harder for every day people to purchase something to defend themselves. But don't worry, they will help you with any paperwork. So unfortunately, especially here everything is more expensive . So everything in general has gone up in price. But I believe that if you're ever come to the point where you have to defend yourself, it's definitely worth it. So if you're interested in learning or purchasing or just picking up any supplies, this is a good place. It took me over 2 years to locate a DP12 works 2 here in liberal California, I couldn't even get anyone to custom order one in because most gun shops like turners who held my deposit for 8 months because their ordering manager kept saying they were illegal here having 14 rounds but the DP12 has two side by side ports really making it a 7+7 all to say imagine my surprise when I saw this bad boy on their store rack. I took my uncle to get a Firearm Safety Certificate and to replace mine after waisting an hour and a half at the Brass Pro Shop. They were very helpful and friendly,to the point to where I spent a little extra money to buy a firearm there instead of going back to BPS. The store has a nice selection of items and the store's displays are neat and tidy. They also have some lights, red dot sights, and other optics that I haven't seen in other stores. I was planning on purchasing several of their items but can't patronize a business whose staff is unprofessional and unfriendly. Unfortunately, there's a lot to be desired when it comes to the owners' personality and character. The father was quite rude, assuming many things about me related to self defense that are outdated. He even seemed to enjoy subtly mocking me when he knew absolutely nothing about me. This says more about him than the people he condescends. Instead of greeting me like a proprietor would normally do, the man suddenly began asking and quizzing me about the appropriate tools for home self defense. This is completely inappropriate, especially when you're a new customer, and it made me feel very uncomfortable. His assumptions are fallacious and his demeanor condescending. I didn't want to be rude and argue with him but the older man is behind the curve when it comes to home~defense recommendations, and that will negatively affect his business and potentially hurt customers. I do a lot of research about home self defense on an almost daily basis because I've had several incidents in the past, some of them quite serious. I can say with absolute certainty that his advice contradicts former LE, current LE, and even professionals who've used videos to prove their recommendations. The son wasn't as rude but he was very standoffish, as if he didn't want to even do business with me. Yes, I understand that a proprietor has every right to deny business to anyone but it should be merited and not based on a business owner's personal whims. read more
