The food is great, oftentimes a little too spicy and seasoned for my taste. They always do get my orders in on time when getting take out, and when dining in, the atmosphere is great. If it weren't for some of the noodles being over seasoned, I would give this place 5 stars. The restaurant has been renovated to a very fresh modern look since I last visited a few yrs ago. The food is as amazing as it has ever been. I was to meet some friends for lunch and I got there early. A very racist Asian lady gave me a table at the far end. I asked for a bigger table and she gave me the biggest table at the far end when the whole restaurant was empty. When my white friends got there, she was so happy to give them tables at the best spots (I am brown). She was taken aback when she learned that I was with them. Her behavior was clearly very friendly towards white guests and very unfavorable towards me. Even my friends noticed this. Anyhow, the food was really good. I got the Tom kha soup with tofu and liked it. Other folks also loved their food. I am taking away the stars so the restaurant owner identifies the problematic server and corrects the behavior. read more

This place is incredible! I decided to get a soup and two appetizers. Because the soup was one of the cheaper options, I mistakenly assumed it was smaller. It is not, at least not at dinner. The fresh spring rolls are so good, and the Brussels sprouts are the best I've ever had anywhere. Truly amazing. The tom kha soup with chicken was yummy as well. Everyone was so friendly. Exotic Thai used to be my favorite Thai food in the quad cities! Idk if there is a new chef or something but my pad Thai is dry and bland with the noodles all stuck together every time now. Exotic Thai closed back in 2022 and had gone through a major renovations to update and expand its retail space. Since reopening, the restaurant is hustling and bustling. While the food tasted good before, it now tastes even better. Soi 2 used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in QC, but now I'd have to say Exotic Thai has taken over after multiple hiccups experienced over dinner with a friend at Soi 2. It is pricier than other Thai and Asian restaurants, but it's worth it for the tasty food. read more

Me and my spouse got the pad see ew and the garlic chicken to go. The food great, i'm from florida and we have top tier food, it's hard to compete and it was honestly a 9/10. My only gripe is I paid 2.50 for extra veggies and didn't get them. I would've rated it higher if I got what I paid for. read more

Heard it was back on the menu after the remodel so had to go back and it was good but not the original. Love the new ambiance and that it expanded. Customer service was amazing. Have been visiting this location since 2018 and can confidently say that through every change they have made in the last 6 years it has only improved. The location is beyond beautiful with all of the greenery and bright lighting. The vibes are always immaculate. I have personally never had a poor interaction with anyone who has ever worked at this location, they are always attentive and beyond kind and welcoming. I would happily drive any distance for this food any day of the week. I have worked my way through a majority of the menu and am always pleasantly surprised. Although prices have risen so has the quality of the food. My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We had come here quite a few years ago when we lived in the area, and the food then and now is consistently good. Our server quickly arrived at our table and we got our food relatively quickly as well. I got the Kao Gra Pow-beef with basil, vegetables, and rice. It had a nice kick of spice cut was not at all too hot. The beef was tender and had good flavor. The veggies were crunchy and fresh as well. My wife had the salmon. It was cooked perfectly and came with an array of veggies that were equally as good as mine. I believe there is only one menu for both lunch and dinner, so lunch is a bit higher priced than at some similar places. Decent-sized servings and very tasty food! read more

Their food is amazing! They have dishes that are authentic and that you can't find in any other Thai restaurants. Their green curry is the best I have had outside of Thailand. Still ate my spicy dish, just guzzled water! It was tasty. My dining partner was disappointed, no flavor in his Pineapple Fried Rice without the spice. They were swamped with takeout orders and a full house of tables, so wait time for food was to be expected. We watched as some folks came back unhappy with their to-go orders; they weren't very kind to the staff. Very cramped eating quarters, we were on a date with the table next to us.
