Located a few doors down from the Take Cover tiki bar and across the street from the historic candy store. This restaurant is amazing. I have a totally different relationship with curry now, and I'm actually kind of concerned that going forward I will always be disappointed now that I've had this complex, flavorful, texture-laden version. My wife & I were just here in town overnight & looking for something light for dinner. After reading some reviews we chose Lemongrass. Don't think we could have made any better choice. Menu was diverse & very different from our usual Chinese restaurant back home. Our food was very fresh & flavorful, service was excellent. I was pretty excited about dropping in here. The reviews seemed good but I should I read them and not just gone with the 4 1/2 stars. We paid $52 for 3 dishes, 2 lunch specials and an order of orange chicken and we were just disappointed. The pad Thai was small and had little flavor beside the tamarind. The mild gra-paw fried rice had no spice and the rice was on the sticky side (a little overcooked). The orange chicken was not crispy but we still liked the flavor but for $18, it was a very small portion. Customer service was good. Order was done in 15minutes even though the restaurant was full. Nice ambiance. Not a good value and not great flavor. read more

Writing this sitting in the restaurant because I'm super annoyed. They had a "huge" order ahead of us but didn't tell us that the wait would be half hour+. Had to change the order to to go. There were 4.5 small pieces of chicken in the curry lunch. Which costs $16. Insane. The food is great but their communication is sht. Will update if it's made right. read more

The food is SO flavorful, not and fresh. The environment is well lit, pleasant and clean. Price is mid range but no problem with this as the quality is very good. Waitress is prompt with taking orders and refilling drinks. Parking on street is sparse but there is a lot behind the building with easy access to the back door. BONUS points for being across the street from a great chocolate shop Lagomacino's! read more

We dined here last Thur evening. Was still busy when we arrived at 7:30 ... a very positive sign. We had the Coconut Shrimp for starter and the Gra Pow for entrees. Not the fanciest restaurant in town but our entrees and service were outstanding! The tables are a little close together but it didn't seem to be too noisy either. We were visiting the area for a concert. Went there because Thai is one of my favorite kinds of food. We loved our meal and had no complaints. I had lemongrass soup with shrimp, crab Rangoon, and Hawaiian style rice with chicken. We also had edamame as an appetizer and I had green tea. I took no chances and went there as soon as they opened at 4pm, this place is super cute and has a great mural on the wall that's fun to look at, the service was great, the food was fast and fresh. We came here during a volunteer event to get some lunch. It was amazing! The best Thai food in the quad cities. The larb is definitely not served how some of us have had it before but it was still good. The dirty rice and coconut soup was absolutely phenomenal. Consistently the best food we've had in the Quad Cities. I've seriously never had a bad meal here. They put so many vegetables in their dishes! Walked out! On a Wednesday night at 7pm my wife and I arrived. First time here and the last! Open tables, but would not seat us as a party of two at a four top table (because those are for larger parties!!!). Told us 5 minutes wait for a two top. After 10 minutes waiting (with all sorts of open tables), we walked out and none of those open tables were ever filled, while we waited. Poor management!!! read more

I haven't dined in Lemongrass but have tried their food via take out from family and friends dropping it off from when they go. The food is fine. I would eat it but nothing special enough that has made me go visit in person. There are many other Asian restaurants that are closer that are tasty and have great flavor. But if you're in the area, it's worth stopping by and giving it a shot. read more

Service and ambiance was great! We tried the lemongrass bomb and the pad Thai with chicken. Both dishes were delicious! The lemongrass bomb could definitely be shared by 3 people, there were 2 of us and we still had a whole meal for tomorrow. I would also recommend coming for an early dinner or be prepared to wait a bit. We went at 5 on a Saturday and didn't have any problems, but if you come around 6 or later there may be a little wait to be seated. read more

My son and I split the crispy lard. Very much enjoyed that. I had the Zen Garden with shrimp. I think it could have been saucier and more heat. The shrimp was definitely over cooked. My wife got the Pad Thai noodles. The description does say sweet but was too sweet for her. Needed more nuts and curry sauce. She asked for more curry sauce and got a bowl of coconut curry soup. Read the reviews and had rather high expectations. Lemongrass did not disappoint. Dining alone, I only ordered one dish: Pad Thai. It was the best I've had in quite some time, perhaps dating back 20 years to good meals enjoyed at Thai restaurants in West Hollywood. Very generous portion, which was appreciated after biking 60 miles earlier in the day along the Hennepin Canal. Took my takeout to Wake Brewery and paired it with their nice ESB (Wake Sink Fast-Let Go; brewed with Sichuan peppercorns). The next day, I was going to go for lunch but they were doing some work on the kitchen and weren't open. Will go again if I'm ever in Moline in the future. Restaurant is conveniently located downtown and parking was relatively easy. read more

ATMOSPHERE: Tight quarters-a cute little place. Not too many seats. It's not great for groups. SERVICE: The service is the reason I almost gave this restaurant a 4. This place is very aunthentic! We went for the lunch special (its 11.99). Came with soup of the day (today it was chicken vegetable soup) very flavorful. Also Korean slaw which I've never had and I loved it. And Vietnamese hand roll vegetable roll with this peanut sweet sauce. And assorted fruits. I got the Pad keeMao with chicken. They are nice. The food was great and it was a large portion of chicken pad Thai. COVID-19: they have the tables within good distance. All the workers wear masks. There is a barrier between each table. I appreciate the extra steps they took to take care of their workers and guests. read more

OK. This was just okay but I concede I'm spoiled when it comes to Asian food given (1) I'm Asian and (2) I travel quite a bit and spoiled by Asian eats everywhere. My college self would have enjoyed it more since there weren't a lot of Asian eateries. (1) Server was nice but messed up MY order and I waited around an extra 15 minutes to make me the wor wonton soup. When it finally came out, it wasn't what i expected. Wontons were very DRY ground white chicken. Would have been better if they were pork. Noodles were meh. Broth was bland. The server did NOTHING in terms of the inconvenience and basically blamed it on me ordering the "wrong thing". She insisted I would have liked something spicy. When I told her I'm not a fan of spicy, she looked at me like I had two heads. (2) Hubby did enjoy the very saucy yakisoba noodles with tofu. He ate the whole bowl. (3) We both enjoyed the crab rangoons and the orange dipping sauce. (4) Good list of alcohol choices. Hubby enjoyed his cherry bomb IPA from a local IOWA brewery. (5) No desserts. None. No mango sticky rice. Nothing. WTH??? I don't think we'll be stopping by any time soon. read more

I have lived in the quad cities for 22 years and Lemongrass has been one of my favorite restaurants. It opened shortly after we moved to Moline and it has been a staple ever seen. Wow! Talk about food with lots of flavor! The soups here are outstanding. I have never gotten the same thing twice because I like to try something different each time. The pork cracklings were a little odd, and I felt that they didn't really add much, but I'm assuming that its consistent with traditional Thai presentation and I was hungry and portion thoroughly filled me up. My family also enjoyed many of the other dishes as well. Also the staff are awesome and remember you. This was a good version of this dish, and packed a punch! Lots of places are afraid to make it spicy when requested, but this was wonderful and was full of spice! The food was very delicious and filling and perfect for cold weather comfort. The spice level here is not for the faint of heart. The food tended to be on the spicier end even though the menu indicated otherwise.
