I am normally a customer of the Great Wall, but today I was very disappointed. I ordered my usual beef fried rice & crab raccoons. They taste very freezer burnt. You could tell from the first moment you put them in your mouth. I called to let them know about the situation. The young lady hung up on me three times. They just lost a faithful customer. She pretended like she was transferring me to the manager and each time the phone hung up. Also, when I would call back, she would pretend like it wasn't her that picked up the phone which I knew it was her just unsatisfactory. So I will not be returning to their establishment. read more

Dirty , no dine in, it is blocked off by what looks like bed sheets. The clean pictures on this website is how it used to look. The floor is disgusting as is the cluster of a mess at the counter. Is this a different owner? The health department needs to come check this place! I will never go back, it used to be okay, now it is beyond gross food and facilities. DON't go! Would never have their food again. Order was not close to my asked for. Fried rice is not fried. Chicken was white as a bed sheet. And they have a 12 year old boy at the cash register to take money and answer questions. They act like they don't understand what you're talking to them about when you tell them that the order is not right. I'm all for small business and hard working people. I was headed out to run errands about noon last Thursday and wanted to grab a bite to eat first , just happened to pass Great Wall and turned around because I wanted to try it out . In all my years living not too far from this restaurant, I had never tried anything from here . I ordered one of my favorite Chinese dishes, Singapore angel hair combo . We have ordered twice from here with delivery. The food is rocksolid and the portions are good especially, given the prices. Our three-year-old especially likes the option not to make some things spicy. read more

Cheap Prices great. But, I guess you get what you pay for. Food was not hot. It was cold. Crab Rangoon was cold and chewy. I live less than 2 miles away. Should have been only $2 I was charged the over 3 mile rate for delivery of $3.50. Only received 1 fortune cookie for 2 meals. And, Charged a $1.50 "surcharge" for nothing. Food tasted off. Spent $80 and the only thing that was edible was the steamed rice and some of the sweet and sour chicken, most of the chicken was chewy. Wontons had an awful flavor. Sesame chicken had a terrible taste. Wonton soup broth was not good and wontons were not good. Will not try again. read more

The food was good. Hubby ordered Szechuan chicken and I ordered General Tso's chicken, both which are supposed to be spicy. Neither were very spicy so slightly disappointed with that. The delivery was quick and everything was in good shape and warm. read more

This was excellent food, parents brought some out to us. The egg drop soup was to die for. The egg rolls and crab ragoons were excellent. Lo mein and generals Tso chicken was excellent also. My food was hot that's probably the only good thing abt it. Ordered a large shrimp fried rice and got like 6 pieces of shrimp. Ordered peppered steak n onion and got two whole onions in a small. Ordered take out Shrimp Kung Pao for lunch, and half way through my meal found a grub. I contacted the restaurant, they came down to my office to "see it" which I was more then happy to show. The gentleman brought his Orkin Pest report to tell me that the restaurant was bug free. Long story short, he argued with me about refunding the meal, saying there was no way it was a bug, even though it was very blatant and obvious what it was. WILL NEVER eat there again and HIGHLY recommend against anyone else eating there either!!! read more

Really good basic Chinese food. Ordered the fried rice and rangoons, and was happy with the taste and size of my potion. Rangoons were hot fresh and delicious! Also saw a lot of professors from Augustana College coming in for lunch which means you can get in and out quick. Only downside is they only take Mastercard and Visa. I have Discover...... oh well, I just need to remember to bring cash with me more often when I head to school. read more

Oriental Express used to be the stuff around these parts until Great Wall moved in. Can't lie, it's your run-of-the-mill Chinese food but they're always friendly and fast. Oriental started slacking and Great Wall showed them up. I don't live in Rock island anymore but I come back frequently to hit up Great Wall with my dad. We both love it and try lots of different things on the menu. For the price it's worth the try. What's the worst that could happen? read more
