Stumbled in here during one of the coldest days of the year, primarily just to warm up. Had no…read moreexpectations because, like I said, it was cold, they were the closest place to take shelter and I saw a coffee bar. Anyway, since then I've been back 3 more times; once for breakfast and twice for brunch. And while I'm confessing, the two times for lunch were on subsequent days. Yeah, they're that good. Actually, their chicken salad on a croissant is the best I've ever had and in my advanced years I've had a crapload of chicken salad. The have a nice sized coffee bar, decorated beautifully with some pretty delicious looking pastries. I'm on an anti-sweet phase so I'm basing my opinion on only on appearance. Then there's a seating area when you can eat, served by a friendly attentive staff and an adjacent boutique area where you can purchase housewares, clothing and other cool stuff. I'm not in Maplewood all that often, generally when I'm shopping at the equally awesome City Workshop but when I do, I always make sure to hit up Perch. You should too. 1/2 star deduction because they don't offer fake sugar, just that Stevia crap which is gross.

If you treat this place more like a cafe, it will probably be much more to your liking than it was to me.

I've been here 6x in the last 6 months after moving to central NJ. While this is an outlet place…read morewhich means it's quite a jumble of items without much presentation beyond being on the floor, it's a steep discount from the full Pottery Barn locations' presentation & pricing if one has patience. The location is superbly accessible occupying a major corner of the vast mall with a major exterior and two exterior loading areas, 1 adjacent to the exterior door and a proper loading dock on the side by arrangement / request. The interior door is very large, as are all retailer's here, and is immediately adjacent to the restroom hallway in this sector of the mall (those familiar know restrooms are a bit of a distance from most spots). The space is always very well swept and kept with spacious warehouse ceiling, copious lighting, and clarion categorization inside evident from anywhere on the floor. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with any number of questions from us from borrowing a ruler or a scissor to chasing down an SKU and installation advice. The inventory is more or less the complete width thus not just expected furniture but also lighting, curtain rods, kids' backpacks, bath and kitchen accessories, textiles, fireplace covers & pokers, etc. There is no final clearance section as they're located in their respective category's area. There's a bathroom and water fountain in the store though unclear if they're for customers as are typically partly obscured by some ad hoc storage and janitorial equipment. Major downsides are some categories like curtain rodes are a hopeless mass of messily laid boxes often without labels or even SKUs and potentially incomplete though one can't open all boxes to examine so it's almost unusable. The sofas sell out steadily so one should be able to act timely. The chairs also seem to cycle thru quite speedily which is good and bad both, greatest challenge being if you need more than 3 of a style. Overall, great location and realization of the brand for the patient!

You can find some great deals here! A lot of items for the fraction of the price. Wonderful store!read more

My last sofa…read morepurchase was back in 2016 and it made it's way through like 5 apartments before I finally said goodbye and decided it was time to pull the trigger on something new. I still loved it veryyyyy much so a new couch had big shoes to fill! Joybird caught our eye for awhile from mostly Instagram ads, but we confirmed with the couple people we know with one that they are good couches that they would 100% get again. I am never ever one to buy something as expensive as this without an in person sit test so we planned to go check it out at this showroom and I am so so happy we did. We were confirmed that they are beautiful couches, and we also discovered that the couch we originally liked was wayyyyyy to firm for our taste. After a few more sit tests we found one we loved. And after lots of deliberation we found a fabric we also loved. The Anton Sectional (basically just a big chaise) looked great in the store and even better (if I do say so myself) in our living room. And so much love to Aiza, the saleswoman who had been extremely attentive to us during our search. She gave us info when we needed it and space when we wanted to keep looking/chat amongst ourselves. There was another woman there who was extremely kind and helpful as well, even after she knew we were already working with Aiza, she was just there to chat, offer opinions on colors, etc. They helped us see the color swatches we liked in different lights, took a look at pictures of our rug and offered suggestions on what would look best and made a big decision a lot less intimidating. We left with a couch purchased and ready to be shipped! And even after warning us that they very rarely will be shipped earlier than expected, our came about 2 weeks before we were initially told, a holiday miracle maybe?? Delivery was easy. Scheduling it was no problem at all and now we have a big, beautiful, comfy new couch that our dog is fairly obsessed with.

As always with ikea it's hard to tag someone if you need help so get ready to do your own research. On the positive side it's great to be able to shop without annoying pushy salespeople. Keep in mind they open somewhat late at 11am on weekdays and 10am on weekends so don't go too early. I recommend going between 11am and 2pm on weekdays since it's somewhat empty at that time. There's a huge parking lot so parking shouldn't be an issue. While some of staff members are friendly, some of them look miserable and put zero effort to assist. For example, the lady handling returns and one of the guys from the food court. They should work for the DMV!

The place is like a maze to navigate through as it can be hard to figure out where you're going at all times and of course it doesn't help either when you're struggling trying to figure out where to go. The restaurant inside is easy to find and overall has the same decent quality of food that every Ikea has. As well as the last cafe near the exit that has good cinnamon rolls and other stuff. The value of the furniture and everything though could be better. Most furniture at Ikea isn't the best quality as it can be damaged easily or it doesn't hold up as well it should. The one fun thing about this Ikea is going to the restaurant and seeing the nearby airport and watching the planes take off and land.
