I thought the exhaust system had been replaced not too long ago, so went through the records for this car and located a bill documenting $1,375 spent for an "entire exhaust system" 4 years ago at their shop. I took a look under the car yesterday and found that the pipe to the rear muffler was so rusted that it broke apart completely so the rear muffler was not attached to the rest of the exhaust system!!! There is absolutely no way a brand new exhaust system could have become so completely rusted that it would fall apart after only 4 years. I am furious that my son was ripped off by these crooks and we will never spend another penny there again!!!

I take my vehicle here for routine maintenance that does not require OEM parts, such as tire rotations, wheel alignments, fuel system cleaning and annual NYS inspections. Fred says that he uses vehicle-specific parts, which are delivered from nearby warehouses. The shop gives you the old parts back, such as burnt out headlights and worn windshield wipers. I only go to the dealership for brakes, batteries, warranty work and recalls. Most jobs at Lakeview Car Care are done in less than two hours. While you wait, there is no transportation to take you to and from home or work, so you have to call an Uber or Lyft. The waiting room is relatively clean and has comfortable chairs. It also has a coffee/tea bar with a Nespresso machine and its pods; and some tea bags, Carnation dry milk, and sweeteners. Service is personalized because Fred has regular customers, whom he instantly recognizes and engages in chit chat with. Unfortunately these folks totally missed the mark with their inspection of a skoolie I was buying…read morefrom a private seller. They completed the inspection a day prior to my arrival and prior to me seeing the vehicle in person. They understood that I was flying to New York to purchase the bus and would be driving it back to Nevada. Their summary report indicated that the horn was not working and the mounts for the engine and transmission were breaking. Mounts are pretty critical, but an easy fix with the right equipment. Upon my personal inspection, I discovered that the horn was simply unplugged. I completed a break test to see how bad the engine mount was, and there was no movement. I did ask to have the mechanic show me the broken mounts, but they declined because they were busy and to come back another day. (It takes a lift, so I understood). They quoted to fix both mounts for over $700 which is very high ...so, between no engine movement with the break test, the high quote and the horn being unplugged, I declined any additional service from them. The mounts were inspected by another shop and both mounts were found to be fine.... makes me glad that I went somewhere else instead.
