I was seen at this location multiple times. My first visit was for what turned out to be a severe case of bronchitis. The male provider who treated me (I'm not sure whether he was a physician or nurse practitioner) was incredibly professional, compassionate, and thorough. He spent a significant amount of time evaluating my symptoms, including severe back pain, and even used a treatment that provided noticeable relief. He ordered a chest X-ray, explained that I had a severe case of bronchitis that was close to becoming pneumonia, and prescribed the appropriate medication. I left feeling well cared for and very impressed with the level of care I received. Unfortunately, my second visit, four days later, was a completely different experience. Despite taking the prescribed antibiotics, my symptoms had become significantly worse, so I returned to the same urgent care. This time I was seen by a female nurse practitioner. As soon as she entered the room, she said, "So, you think you have bronchitis?" I explained that I wasn't guessing, I had been diagnosed at that very location just four days earlier. She told me they had no record of my previous visit. I explained that I had received a chest X-ray, lab work, and treatment there. She insisted that even if my visit somehow wasn't documented, there would still be records of my imaging and lab work. She repeatedly suggested that I must have gone to a different urgent care, even though I knew with complete certainty that I had not. To try to clear up the confusion, I showed her my Uber receipts to and from the clinic from four days earlier, as well as the follow-up text message the office had sent me after my appointment. Even after seeing this, she continued to question whether I had been seen there. Being treated as though I wasn't telling the truth while I was extremely ill and struggling to speak was frustrating and upsetting. I asked if another chest X-ray could be performed because my breathing had become much worse, but my request was declined. Instead, I was prescribed cough medicine. A urine sample was collected during that visit as well. The following day, my condition deteriorated to the point that I passed out and had to go to the emergency room. There, I was diagnosed with pneumonia and a kidney infection. When I later compared my emergency room records with the paperwork from my urgent care visit, I noticed that my urgent care urinalysis contained abnormal findings that were also present in the ER testing. I was never informed about those results or advised that they could indicate another infection. While I understand that mistakes and documentation issues can happen, I was disappointed that my concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously. In addition to my medical experience, I have also continued to receive bills from this office despite my insurance having already processed and paid the claims and despite me already paying my required copay. This has been another frustrating issue to deal with and has added to my overall dissatisfaction with this clinic. I want to emphasize that throughout my visits, the nursing staff was always kind and professional. My first provider also gave me excellent care. However, the way I was treated during my second visit left me feeling unheard and uncomfortable during one of the sickest times I've experienced. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in communication, record management, billing practices, and listening to patients when they report that their condition is worsening.

They took me into a room, where I told my story, and eventually heard the doctor talking with a nurse outside my room with my door closed. They said that the Patient in (My Room Number) is just trying to get free pills off of them and to just give me the pills I want to get off of and move on. They said it right outside my door, so I could hear, and insulted the person in "my room number" multiple times insinuating I was looking for drugs for more nefarious reasons. They eventually came back and acted all nice, giving me a prescription for pain pills. I just threw the prescription in their trash cause I would rather suffer than be accused of that.

It was the pregnancy test. When I got to the check out desk I was taken aback to see that they had actually done this test without my knowledge and charged me for it. They ended up waiving that particular charge. The person who was supposed to be checking me out didn't seem to know what she was doing, and was asking everyone else what she was supposed to be charging me for. I I hope I was charged for the correct procedures. I asked her what I was paying for when she finally figured it out. She mentioned the pregnancy test. I explained that I was unaware of them doing a pregnancy test on me. I was concerned that I hadn't been informed of this prior to it being done. She went and got her boss, whom I had to stand there and wait forever and a day for. She came to the checkout desk seeming somewhat defensive. This in turn put me on edge. Instead of handing me the consent form and allowing me to look over it, she shoved it in my face through the window. She explained that I had signed the form and therefore had consented to all treatment regardless. The issue there is that consent can be revoked. Consent is not a binding contract. I have a right to know about everything that's being done before it's preformed. I wonder if all women are given pregnancy tests now when they go to the doctor without their knowledge. I hope they have not started tracking women in Alabama yet. The government does not belong in the exam room with us.

What year is this? Are we back in 1990?? Waited 4 hours to see the doctor for less than 8 minutes. Thankful it was only 4 hours. One elderly couple had been waiting 6 and another woman 8... I watched patients helping other patients in and out of wheelchairs while staff watched-which is a huge liability. Triage is a behind a tri fold curtain in the ER lobby which is a potential hippa violation and I didn't feel comfortable discussing personal medical history while other patients could hear me and see me. The doctor prescribed a medication that is contraindicated for people with preexisting GI issues-if he would have taken 2 minutes to ask me I would have told him that. So I have a prescription for a medication that could give me an ulcer when I'm already prone to ulcers. Was referred to another doctor for follow up. Because the ER did not do bloodwork or imagining it will delay my care with this other doctor 2 and a half weeks, and I have to see urgent care or find a pcp to give me an antibiotic I can take- Did I mention I don't live in Tuscaloosa or Northport? I don't have a local PCP and urgent care tells me to go back to the ER because I have a post surgical infection? A friend told me that DCH stands for "Don't Come Here" and told me I should go to Birmingham. I should have listened. Now I have a hospital bill plus 4 other bills because of having to piecemeal my health care because DCH isn't competent enough to prescribe an antibiotic that won't kill me.
