First of all, when I think of a tour, I expect to be "shown around" and not to have to take the initiative to walk around the place. The fact that they were just standing idly by without anything planned out to say speaks volumes to me about the management of this place. Also, to think I wouldn't notice them snickering about me behind my back while I was checking the bathroom? Crazy. They felt like a bunch of bullies. Idk why I would be comfortable signing up to this gym with such unprofessional behavior. However, my final straw, was how they answered my simple question. "How do you cancel?" Met with a response along the lines of "oh there's five ways, no four... one, you die, two military leave, three you move away and you can send in a letter, or four, a doctor's note" Holy sh*t, what a way to massively dodge a question. You can learn a lot about a person by telling them no, or in this case asking them a question they're definitely not gonna like or feel comfortable answering. And this response was very telling and all I needed to know about this place. It came across as very manipulative to me. And I took it as an implication that it would be really hard to cancel services once started. How hard is it to give me a REAL direct honest answer? It made me so angry to hear that. Obliterated my remaining trust in this person. Yeah, you could argue that it was a joke or whatever, but then that's CLEARLY unprofessional. And even if it was a joke it's not like he followed up with an actual direct answer. He completely avoided the question. If that's not an alarming MASSIVE red flag, then idk what is. I immediately ripped that business card they gave me the moment I sat inside my car. I would never want to sign up for this establishment here or anywhere else.

Asking a question or requesting a massage chair or hydro bed sometimes felt like an inconvenience to them. Thankfully, as the year has gone on, things seem to have improved, likely because others shared the same concerns. The best time to go is super early in the morning (if you can manage it). During that time, you won't have to fight for a machine, and you'll have access to everything. In the evenings, though, every single machine is in use, making it frustrating to get a productive workout in while trying to scope out your next move. I love their 30-minute circuit--it's perfect if you're in a time crunch but still want a full and effective workout. Overall, it's a nice, clean gym with solid amenities!

Not only are they full of warm, friendly, and down to earth people, but they also provided the best fitness experience in terms of coaching, professionalism, and overall excellence. Not naming names, but other gyms I tried just pointed to the board to indicate the warmup and the coach spent the whole class rolling out vs actually coaching. From the coaching to the programming, from the facility (the gym is ALWAYS clean which is no small feat) to community engagement, and class experience, Mitch, the owner of The Loop, makes it clear that he is committed to constantly improving for the sake of his clients and community.
