Met my first IRL Pokémon professor and it did not disappoint. Great people at this shop. They're really good with kids.

Ask the Community - Experience Point

Are there MTG bulk boxes one could look through?

    Do you buy pokemon cards?

Yes! We do buy Pokemon cards. We are mostly looking for "EX"s, "GX"s and "V"s (when "V"s get released). Our Pokemon specialist would be able to look at older cards to determine if we are interested.

An absolute must-visit if you like board games, card games, or tabletop gaming in any form…read more My friend and I have a tradition that anytime we travel, we hit up a good board game store and grab a small portable game for road trips. The selection here is massive and incredibly well organized, with something for everyone from casual players to serious hobbyists. There's also a big game room and playroom in the back that seemed to have some games and tournaments going on I loved the demo tables -- such a smart way to actually try games before buying -- and the staff were genuinely friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy. It's the kind of store you plan to pop into briefly and end up staying for an hour (almost).

Wandered into the store because I needed to kill some time before my lunch reservation at Paper Bridge. The store is so big, so spacious, and so well organized! There are so many different types of games, puzzles, cards, die, mini figures, etc. I loved wandering around and would get excited when I finally recognized a game I knew. There's a gaming section in the back which seems like such a nice option for people to try games they don't own. Staff were friendly, bathrooms were clean, and prices are absolutely reasonable (so I left with a couple party games).

This place truly excels at both. The owner has been consistently kind every time I've stopped in for trading card game products, even going out of his way to update me on upcoming releases to keep things accessible for the local community. In a year where TCG demand has been intense, that really stands out. For a smaller shop, they deserve even more product allocation because you can genuinely feel their love for the hobby. There was one instance where an order I placed had a miscommunication, and the owner immediately reached out to clarify and make things right--I left feeling highly satisfied. Beyond the fair market pricing (instead of the inflated numbers you see elsewhere), what keeps me coming back is the selection, the friendly explanations about games I'm curious about, and the genuine interest the staff shows in what customers enjoy. Parking is easy, the vibe is welcoming, and it's great having a local shop I can rely on when many others in the city don't match the quality and care this one offers.

We had fun trying a few games then the staff helped us find a game they hadn't even put on the shelf yet. Pro Tip: if you order any food or drink, you can rent out any game they have on the rental shelfs for free. The have a variety of two player games, party games, strategy games, card canes, etc to rent. All the way from easy games for kids to challenging games for more demanding games. The staff at the rental counter and the cafe were the friendliest and gave excellent recommendations in games. The games they have for sale cover many popular choices but also lesser known games. They also sell gaming accessories such as D100 dice!!! Oh my! The cafe even has a 3D printed dice tower if you want to choose the fate of your food order. lol! There is limited alcohol here and the food is mostly snacks, but they do have sliders and chicken tenders, pop, liquid death, a couple of canned alcoholic drinks. For a whopping $12 I spent on food, I got to try 4 games, and.....it was karaoke night and we sang songs with random strangers in the specially reservable room they had. You could select the songs on the machine or through an app. They could use a little more variety in the song list that have but a lot of the popular suns are there. I can't wait to go back and try some more games. Parking was street parking and a little challenging but there are side streets too with street parking. The store itself had super modern and clean look, games well displayed, and nice and air conditioned on a warm day. Even the bathrooms have some hygiene products and are unisex! Oh yeah did I mention that are open late. 1am on a Friday night. I would seriously recommend this place to anyone!

Stumbling across Board Bard Games after dining at a nearby favorite restaurant was a fantastic find, and I'm glad to know I don't have to drive all the way across town whenever I'm looking for a new board game, some dice, a new RPG book, a pack of [insert your favorite] TCG cards, miniature paints, brushes, and all manner of other gaming geekery and gear! Apparently everyone else in the immediate area got the memo before I did, because the place was *packed* with patrons playing pretend with painted plastic proxies of pistol-packing Primarchs punishing patrols and parties of pan-universal peoples...in this case, Warhammer: Kill Team. Every table was entirely covered with detailed terrain, miniatures, books, cards, tape measures and beverages, surrounded by gamers bent forward in ergonomically-unfriendly hunched positions, guaranteed to cause back problems in the future! It's not the largest gaming space in the city, but they pack a lot of product, and people, into it, utilizing every square inch of their real estate to its fullest. I saw several games that I own, or want to own, and enough of everything any nerd would need for the game that fits their fancy. I was very impressed, and will definitely be back in the future, likely sooner than later, the next time my dice betray me and end up in Dice Jail™.
