Once we arrived inside, we were greeted warmly by the employees and they kindly instructed us to let them if we had any questions. My boyfriend and I first looked at their menu to see what they had and I love how their menu is themed! They also have lots of pastries both savory and sweet. I got their blackberry Faywild soda (their take on a Italian soda) and pumpkin pie macaron which was tart and delightful. My boyfriend got their white chocolate mocha was he was very pleased with, and he was browsing their TCGs and board games. The staff at the rental counter and the cafe were the friendliest and gave excellent recommendations in games. The games they have for sale cover many popular choices but also lesser known games. They also sell gaming accessories such as D100 dice!!! Oh my! The cafe even has a 3D printed dice tower if you want to choose the fate of your food order. lol! There is limited alcohol here and the food is mostly snacks, but they do have sliders and chicken tenders, pop, liquid death, a couple of canned alcoholic drinks. For a whopping $12 I spent on food, I got to try 4 games, and.....it was karaoke night and we sang songs with random strangers in the specially reservable room they had. Stumbling across Board Bard Games after dining at a nearby favorite restaurant was a fantastic find, and I'm glad to know I don't have to drive all the way across town whenever I'm looking for a new board game, some dice, a new RPG book, a pack of [insert your favorite] TCG cards, miniature paints, brushes, and all manner of other gaming geekery and gear! Apparently everyone else in the immediate area got the memo before I did, because the place was *packed* with patrons playing pretend with painted plastic proxies of pistol-packing Primarchs punishing patrols and parties of pan-universal peoples...in this case, Warhammer: Kill Team. Every table was entirely covered with detailed terrain, miniatures, books, cards, tape measures and beverages, surrounded by gamers bent forward in ergonomically-unfriendly hunched positions, guaranteed to cause back problems in the future! It's not the largest gaming space in the city, but they pack a lot of product, and people, into it, utilizing every square inch of their real estate to its fullest. I saw several games that I own, or want to own, and enough of everything any nerd would need for the game that fits their fancy. I was very impressed, and will definitely be back in the future, likely sooner than later, the next time my dice betray me and end up in Dice Jail™.
