My fiancé and I got engaged in Jan 2019 and after venue shopping and planning, we were referred to Yvette in May 2019. At the time, we decided to not do a pop up since we ended up deciding to do a wedding on a cruise in 2020. Well obviously that fell apart thanks to the pandemic! Yvette was there to save the day! We were hoping things would get better in 2020 but COVID cases kept rising so we said screw it, let's do the pop up wedding! And we are SO happy that we did! We didn't want to do a huge party and spend thousands on a wedding but we got the upscale wedding look for so much less. Yvette and her team were offering these COVID packages (see their Instagram to see if still on going) and we had an officiant, seating for 25, cake, photographer venue and decorations all for under $2000. My family was worried that since we were spending significantly less than the average wedding cost that it wouldn't be as nice. In fact, we were criticized prior to the wedding, but then the day of the wedding arrived and they were in awe. It was so romantic and beautiful. Yvette and her team added flowers, candles and just made the night so magical. The cake was delicious and over all the experience was dreamy and magical. Pop Up Weddings Houston also go beyond the pop up wedding bookings. Yvette does weddings of all sizes! They actually do wedding give aways on their instagram so check it out if you're recently engaged! They also work with vendors/partners who provide live streaming services, photo booths and more! Anyways, major thanks to Pop Up Wedding Houston! I am totally referring my engaged friends to them! Note: Once I receive my wedding photos I'll update my review to show you all how gorgeous the venue was!

My daughter got engaged this past spring, and, although she and I have done quite a bit of…read moreentertaining and hospitality, I knew that a wedding planner was not optional, if we were going to enjoy the wedding. The engagement was 4-1/2 months long, and we invited over 400 people to the wedding, so it was not a small wedding, and obviously there was lots to do in a fairly short amount of time. Additionally, my daughter lives in Seattle, and would only be home for a couple of very brief visits, so that was also a challenge. Although I knew that we needed help with the wedding, I was not hopeful that we could find a wedding planner to whom I would be comfortable relinquishing responsibility and control, but, boy, was I wrong! We were referred to Chelsea, the owner of Everything But the Ring (EBTR), by the Carol Perrard, event coordinator at our reception venue (The Westin at Memorial City). I had told Carol that I wanted to find someone who was not only a great wedding planner, but that was not a snob and would absolutely not add drama to our event. EBTR was arguably the best and most important recommendation we got from anyone to ensure that our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be - and it was! Chelsea is amazing to work with - very professional, punctual, communicated frequently, very accessible, so pleasant, flexible, helpful, forward-thinking; she understood what our vision was, and was fabulous at implementing it. Her experience and judgment were invaluable and contributed immeasurably to the success of the wedding. Since my daughter and I are very organized, we knew there were parts of the wedding that we would like to handle ourselves. At the same time, there were also parts of the wedding that we knew we didn't want to handle at all, and then lots of items in between. Chelsea customized a wedding package for us in which she was up-to-speed on the big picture and the details, but was okay with letting us handle those things we like doing. She kept everything on track, thought of everything, no matter how tiny a detail, and was great about updating the to-do lists and reminding us of upcoming timeline deadlines. Additionally, she negotiated better rates with vendors than I was able to get myself, and reviewed all our vendor quotes and contracts with those vendors I was working with directly, and identified costs that could be reduced or seemed out of line, which information I used to go back to the vendors and get a better quote (my florist and decor company, for example). There were other vendors she dealt with without my involvement at all, except to approve their bids, and everything she arranged was top-notch and reasonably priced. I knew from my very first meeting with Chelsea that she was the right person for us, and that feeling was reconfirmed over and over, but never more than the week of the wedding itself. We had our last sit-down meeting with Chelsea and Carol at the reception venue one week before the wedding, and I was BLOWN AWAY by the details that the two of them together had figured out, and, wow, what a blessing that the two of them worked so beautifully together. They thought of the tiniest little details and logistics that made my daughter and I know that we could just enjoy the wedding week. We were in such good hands!!! Chelsea came by our house a number of times the week of the wedding, transported to the reception venue, to the church, to the rehearsal dinner, etc etc etc. I can honestly say there was not one moment the week of the wedding when I felt anxious or worried, in large part because of the decision we made to hire Chelsea at EBTR. I recommend her and her company unreservedly. Several of the guests at our wedding have contacted Chelsea regarding their own weddings. I hope you have the good fortune to have her help you make your wedding everything you've dreamt it would be.

She was…read morewearing a beautiful black ball gown and was actively approaching people which gave me a great first impression of her. I could right away tell how passionate and hard-working she was so I definitely wanted to meet with her to see if I wanted her to be our wedding planner. Originally, we did not feel we did not need a planner but our first meeting with Chelsea sold us to her services. At our first meeting, she presented us with a folder detailing her services as well as a binder of a wedding that showed us how seriously she takes her job and how organized she is. She is the best decision we made in regards to our wedding planning. Without her, we would not have had all the amazing vendors we got. She helped us get in contact with them and handled all communication with them. We were even able to get a better rate because of her connections. It made the entire process so easy for us so that we could focus on the other things. Her advice was also invaluable. Whenever we would vacillate on something, she would explain the pros and cons but would never push us to a decision. She would always patiently let us decide because she truly was our advocate and helped us put together the wedding we wanted. Her advice was not limited on just the planning and was willing to listen to any problems we had. Especially since she has been in the same shoes, it was nice to have someone that could empathize with everything that I was going through. The big day was where she really shined. She took care of everything so that everyone could enjoy the day which was very important to us because we wanted all our friends and family to enjoy every minute of it, especially since the whole event is only so long. Everyone raved about how amazing our wedding was and anyone that had the honor of speaking to Chelsea that day informed me of how amazing she was as well. I think very highly of Chelsea and I am so happy to have had the privilege of meeting her and working with her. She has such a warm and engaging personality that will make you feel like you are just conversing with a friend instead of working. I especially appreciated her honesty with me throughout the planning because I valued her professional opinion and without it, our wedding would not have been as successful. Thank you Chelsea for making the wedding planning fun instead of stressful. You helped create the wedding we never knew we could have and we are so thankful for everything you have done for us.

There was so much thought and prep that went into the wedding that it was such a shame to witness the staff from this company act unprofessionally. The staff, an older couple, was rude and yelling at guests. the gentleman was irritated much of the evening at what is suppose to be a happy event. I witnessed children getting scolded for having fun, I got yelled at for taking a vase of flowers after the brides' family had told me to. The woman, I believe her name was JoAnne, was scolding guests for taking too many party favors and there were plenty left at the end of the night. Very unprofessional staff that didn't properly reflect the graciousness of the people throwing the event.
