I really wanted to like this experience, it started off very strong. Inside waiting area is surprisingly lovely (don't let the rough exterior fool you), staff are friendly and prices reasonable. Unfortunately that's about it. I brought my car in due to having what I believed to be an electrical issue, I provided clear explanations and even video example to demonstrate the problem. I will acknowledge they did seem to take a lot of time to investigate, more than I would have expected. But that's where it shifts. I followed up and was informed they were having difficulty replicating, then suddenly I receive a call saying the reason they couldn't replicate was someone already fixed it but didn't properly communicate. Instead of telling me that they couldn't find it, that they were uncomfortable or unable to find a solution, etc. I was told it was simply the 12v battery being lose and they tightened it. Immediately once I get home, the issue continues. The solution I was provided was incorrect and I wasted ~$100. For this reason, unless you're going in for a straightforward oil change I cannot recommend them for any other more indepth services they claim to offer. read more

Don't bring your car here if you love it and care about being respected. I got yelled at, threatened, intimidated and asked to get the fuck out of there by mechanic. My fault was to ask for a refund after showing him pictures and video of stuff he messed up. I came here for tire rod replacement and wheel alignment. He installed the driver side tire rod in passenger side. The part was also damaged during the install that it could not be taken out and installed on the correct side. See how the thread is ruined. I got them this part brand new and the pictures were taken 4 days after they replaced it. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I had to take my car to someone else to get the damn thing fixed. The place is clean and has things that make getting your oil changed a little more enjoyable. Nespresso, cookies, water, charging stations, TV. The price was great because they were running a special. The only negative is that I have a Prius and asked them if they knowledgeable on them and they said Yes. When I picked up my car everything that runs from the battery was reset - now my car is showing kpm instead of mph as well as many other things on the dash that I had set were adjusted. Now I need to figure out how to change it back (this didn't happen when I got the oil change at a Toyota dealer). Other than that inconvenience, I would recommend them. read more

Had our car towed in on a Saturday morning to diagnose an engine issue. It quit running and would not restart. They called Monday to request authorization to put a new starter in it so they could finish diagnosing. $500+ for a starter. I authorized the work and they replaced it. Subsequently, their diagnosis was that I needed a new engine for $8k. And, they offered to buy it for the amount I owed them. I declined and towed it elsewhere. Turns out, it was a fuel problem. I needed a fuel pump and injectors. Should have been 8 ish hours and $600 in parts. I can't say for sure which it is . . but they are either incompetent mechanics or dishonest. read more

On April 17, 2021 I took my 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T to Expert Car Care because the car was stopping on me. On April 22nd I received the car and was charged for a fuel pump replacement. That charge was for $1172. The part was $829 which was already overpriced by double. The car stopped on me that night again. The next morning April 23rd I took the car back and according to them they were not able to get the car to stop after driving it the whole day. That was suspicious. So I decided to grab the car that evening because I didn't want to be charged for a made up issue. It stopped that night again after driving it for 20 mins. I took it to a friend of mine who is a mechanic and he ended up tightening the fuse box because it was loose and the car has not stopped on me since then. I even drove to Tampa and back with no issue. I've been trying to reach them for the past week or so and have been dealt the runaround with them avoiding talking to me. Finally, today April 29th I told them I don't appreciate the customer service and I do want my money back. That was suspicious that it took them that long to take me seriously as if they were hiding something. I spoke to Jay at Expert Car Care today and he was extremely unprofessional with me. He got angry at me and told me to come to the shop to fight him. He then proceeded to tell me to go f**k myself. read more

I came in and was told a short wait of which they took me almost immediately. I was told the night before at a chain shop I had to buy a new tire. They patched it right up and I'm good to go!! Very transparent and honest mechanic shop! They helped with determining an issue that was supposed to be fixed a week ago at another shop. The other shop did not quite finish the job and caused a whole lot of issues with my cooling system. These guys said, don't pay us, take it back and get them to fix it. They could've easily taken my money as I was willing to pay just to get it fixed but they wouldn't accept my $1000 because they knew I would not be refunded by the other shop. I went there in person to check pric and make an appointment. They quoted me $99 for alignment. But when went there again on my appointment time they changed the price to $169. This was done by the same girls who quoted me the first time. it is a rip off. I went to Tuffy for the same issue. They aligned my tires for $99 and were honest and very courteous. read more

B E W A R E !!! I was forced to take my car one day during lunch time to this place because my alternator went out and happened to be across the street over at Autozone having my battery and alternator tested. I barely made it across the street to "Expert Car Care" before my car shut off completely. I happen to work at the airport so I left my car there at lunch time and proceeded to work. I picked up my car later that afternoon and everything was fine, so I thought. A few days later I happen to be at work and decided to drive out for lunch again and realized my car was dead. I figured ok my battery died so I'll just have someone give me a boost and then take it to the same Autozone over at Lee Vista Blvd and buy a new battery. Autozone ran there test on my battery and it came up dead so I bought a new battery at Autozone. A few days later after buying the new battery I began experiencing a battery light flickering on my dashboard and said to myself, that's odd. I took it to Autozone on Lee Vista Blvd and to a Chevy dealer in Clermont where I live and everything came up clean, though at the Chevy dealer they mentioned it could possibly be a faulty alternator considering the new alternator may not be an OEM alternator. I continued driving with battery light constantly flickering then began experiencing some different lights coming up like ABS, Brake, Powersteering, Battery and Check Charge System. I also notice my lights would dimmer at night so I knew I was experiencing a low voltage problem. I'm not a mechanic but at least I know that when a battery light comes on it usually means you are running on battery and battery has taken over because the alternator is putting out low output especially when the "Check Charge System" warning light comes on along with the battery light. I have never had any electrical issues with this car until my alternator was replaced by these jerks. After experiencing all these lights popping up, I decided just for kicks to take it to a different Autozone in Clermont, Fl where I live and they said the battery had failed and was bad and needed to be replaced and this would be my third battery since replacing my alternator. Luckily for me, Autozone replaced the battery free of charge considering I bought the failed battery from them. So the battery was replaced and at this point I have had it with all the problems since my alternator was replaced. So I call up "Expert Car Care" and explained to them about the whole ordeal and they said bring it in and if it's the alternator they'll replace it. Long story short, I brought the car in and left it there for two days and they said they could not duplicate or replicate the light problem and that they left the car on for 5 hours and no lights. At this point, I was like Huh and could not believe what I was hearing...!!! I was dumb founded considering I have been getting these lights for a while and with all the batteries that were drained due to a faulty alternator. After having a civilized dispute they said they cannot change the alternator considering they can't find a problem even though I'm running on my third battery and this alternator is obviously faulty. Now here I am with a faulty alternator and they won't live up to their warranty after spending $650.00 for alternator and labor and looks like I will be out of that money. I also believe they cleared out the error codes so when I got there it would make their story believable that there is no error lights popping up. Anyone can erase error codes these days, I can do that with my OBD2 Scanner I have at home. They are very dishonest and now I will need to find another mechanic that is honest to replace my alternator again which will cost me another $650.00. The moment I walked into that place for the very first time something came over me about the place being shady and was worried the moment I walked in, but what could I do, I was stranded there with a dead alternator. I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO EXPERIENCE WHAT I WENT THRU, PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE, IT'S A SCAM AND VERY DISHONEST PEOPLE. read more

I came in here on weds July third. The manager said it would be two hours. So I made an appointment for Saturday at 9:00. I came here at 8:40. I am still here!!!!!!!! I walked back in here at 10:20 and having seen my truck still sitting on the parking lot I asked an employee to check on my truck. He never came back out. The man who I met when I first arrived came out and apologized . He said they had problems with some equipment. I am certain they just forgot about the truck. There were minimal cars in the lot.its been 2.5 hours for a simple oil change. I will never come back here. Nice guys but clueless. I had a poor experience with this company. I called to make an appointment to have some tires and rims installed on my Jeep. When I called I was clear the size of tire I was brining and confirmed that they could install the tires. The day of the appointment I loaded up the tires and rims, hauled them across town for them to tell me that they could not handle my tires because their machine was not able to handle those tires. Very disappointing and left me in a real pinch. I will not be using this company again. read more

Three days prior, I spent $800 on another auto repair, when they told me it was going to be another $1300 for the second repair, I knew that I had to get another quote from somewhere else to investigate if I could get a better price. Jason over at Expert Car Care gives me a quote over the phone for $550 less! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE... I'm out of town, my completely stressed-out girlfriend has to get the vehicle there (she loved the place and said there was a lot of "positive-energy there,") Jason calls and tells me that the last assessment was misdiagnosed and I don't need the repair AT ALL! What?! A place I've never been to before, didn't meet in-person, could still have charged me $770 for an unnecessary repair that I would've not known the difference, and he tells me the TRUTH and I don't spend a dime! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE... While my girlfriend is driving the car to the shop, it shows a brand-new symptom, it's overheating! Jason does a diagnostic, an injector is stuck, the engine is flooding with fuel, and because all of that was going to be a cost-free warranty coverage repair, I have a tow truck come and pick it up to take to the dealership! And guess what?! He doesn't even charge me for the diagnostic check! So when everyone talks shit about shady mechanics, this is the Mecca we've all been hoping for!
