Hard to get in because there so dang busy but once u finally get in it's always been a good experience here. My last time in I dropped off my 2007 Honda CR-V that was acting strange ( ruff idle ) and they called me the next day & said it needed a new engine I'm Like now say that again. They explained that it was bubbling up through the radiator and it needed a new head gasket. I'm like dam the cat isn't even worth what it would be to repair so I ended up driving it home and sold it 2 dats later on Craigslist to a guy in Georgia that needed the doors and interior for one he was rebuilding so it worked out. read more

Orlando Import Auto came recommended by a buddy of mine and I've officially found my spot for servicing my Honda Element while I'm in Orlando. The crew is super straightforward. I dropped the car off for a specific reason (still pulling to the right after my Honda service shop aligned the tires and replaced brake calipers). OIAS not only figured out the cause (dry rot on tires, which they determined by taking the time to rotate and test drive the car), they didn't stick me with an upsell list of half a dozen other things to fix. That said, I'd definitely trust them to give the whole thing a once-over and be honest about it. You don't get this kind of service at most auto shops. read more

I wasn't able to get my car serviced here yet because the staff was very honest in clarifying they were not the best entity to work on my Acura Infotainment system but he provided suggestions on going to the dealer and still was kind enough to listen and answer some other questions I had. Another shop charged me $107 to tell me the same thing and I ended up YouTubing and fixing the problem myself. I appreciate that he didn't waste my time or money. It says a lot about their authenticity. I value that and since my car is about 500 miles out from an expired warranty I will look to have it serviced by them going forward. I'm also referring my boyfriend for his wheel bearing service in his Volkswagen Tiguan. The "bedside manner" that I was handled with was enough to win my business. read more

JOYRIDING (proof attached) in my vehicle and overpriced (66% higher than another shop)!!!! These guys won't quote over the phone or via email even with the exact part numbers (which I gave them) needed for your specific vehicle and the VIN. They instead ask that you make an appointment to drop off the car for an estimate. I made arrangements (and incurred costs) to have my car left at their shop. They call me within 2 hours of their business opening and give me an estimate $400 over what another shop quoted for rear brakes!! I let them know that I won't be moving forward with service there. When I get there, the worker had the audacity to tell me he's going to have to charge me a "checkout fee" since I didn't do any business with them. After some pushback on my end, the worker decides against the fee. Once I get in my car, I realize that these clowns took my vehicle for a 4 mile joyride!!! I parked my vehicle at their shop, they checked my brakes, and then parked the vehicle. There was absolutely NO reason why they needed to drive my car for 4 miles, especially since I left it there specifically for a quote on brakes, not an inspection. I've attached a photo of the ticket you need to fill out with mileage when you drop off your car and photos of my odometer while still in their crappy parking lot. Cory was a pleasure from the first time I called, to the time I picked up my car. In fact, every interaction with every tech was kind and friendly. Often times I have been talked down to at auto repair shops and then felt cheated, but I never felt that way at this spot. Besides that, I called one day and was able to take my car in the following day and get it back same day. I chose to leave and return later, but if I'd wanted to stay, they have a waiting room with water, a TV, chairs, and best of all-- air conditioning! I now consider this shop my auto repair go-to. Brought my Mazda 3 in with a DTC P0171 code. The car was running lean and was losing mpg gradually over time. This can be a complicated issue to diagnose. The tech initially diagnosed it as suffering from a vacuum leak. They replaced the intake manifold gaskets and throttle body gaskets and pcv hose. But the car continued to run lean. They proceeded to work on the MAF sensor and front and rear O2 sensors. Eventually, in addition to replacing the rear o2 sensor and putting premium gas into it seemed to correct the issue enough that the car would run without tripping the Check Engine Light. Negatives of the experience: The tech went on vacation for 1-week which delayed the work on my car. The repair took a total of 13-business days. This was probably the most frustrating aspect of the experience. Additionally, at times Caleb struggled to effectively communicate what was going on in-terms of what the tech was doing. To be fair, diagnosing and fixing a lean running engine can be complicated and difficult. Positives of the experience: Caleb put in a ton of effort to keep me updated on what was going on, and when there was a breakdown in communication, he was able to get the tech on the phone. Many shops put in little effort in communicating with the customer and that's where Orlando Import Auto Specialists stood out. Although the tech took a long time to diagnose and repair, he did quality work and he correctly identified that the fuel injectors were likely failing. I later replaced them and that completely fixed the issue. The price was fair for the work completed. This is an honest shop that does quality work. I would 10/10 recommend this place to any friend or family member looking for an independent shop. All the negatives of my experience can be chalked up to the complex issue my car was presenting with. Sometimes diagnosing and repairing a P0171 is quick and easy and other times it's a grueling hunt. Will definitely bring my car back when it needs work I can't or don't feel like doing myself. read more

I've only had to go here once (luckily) and my experience was really great. As a female, you sometimes need to be careful when going to auto shops on your own, as a lot will take advantage of you if they think you don't know a lot regarding cars. This was absolutely not the case here. The a/c in my 2015 Mustang decided to stop blowing cold air. I took my car here with no appointment, walked in, and told them what the problem was. The staff was extremely friendly and took my car in immediately. I went to a nearby coffee shop while I waited and when I returned (about 30 minutes later) my car was done. They ran a dye test and found that the service ports were cracked, so they replaced those and filled up the freon and I was good to go. Freezing cold air again! The service with the replacement parts and freon fill was $82.00. I would definitely take my car here again in the future if I come across any other problems (but hopefully that won't be the case). read more

Orlando Import Auto specialist is fast, quick and easy. I made my appointment via Yelp and patiently waited for my car's transmission oil to be replaced. The guy at the front desk didn't haggle nor pressured me to do additional things to the car (or maybe nothing else was wrong with it lol!) They had a big plexi glass to separate the front desk and customer to help with spreading covid. Their waiting room is quite small but other patrons in their wore their mask and separated themselves to safely keep their distance from others. Once the car's service was completed, the techs sanitize the wheel prior to you leaving! Great service! I will definitely come back for future repairs! read more

I truly love this place. My biggest hardship is going to mechanics. I never trust that what I'm being told is honest or fairly priced. Most of the time I get a laundry list of need to do's that cost a fortune, then I'll find out with a second opinion that wasn't the nearly the case. NOT HERE! Every time I go I truly feel cared for and taken care of. Even if it's just for maintenance or for bad news on large repairs, I trust their work and their recommendations. I reached out to Orlando Import Specialist via Yelp messenger over the weekend and Joe answered my questions promptly, gave me a very reasonable quote and helped me make an appointment for that Monday. I took my car in first thing in the morning and Corey kept me updated throughout the day. I was able to pick it up at the end of the business day. I am so happy with my experience with this company. I am extremely grateful for Orlando Auto Import Specialists. I messed up putting off oil changes. I took it to Parks Toyota DeLand dealership near me for repairs and found out there was no oil in my car. Toyota said I need to either replace or repair my engine. It would cost $5500+. After hearing it, I looked up an independent mechanic and found Orlando Auto Import Specialists. I took it there for a second opinion. Service Manager Corey was easy to speak with and get to know. I dropped my car off Tuesday afternoon and got a call back Wednesday afternoon after work saying my car was ready. It was a quicker turnaround than I expected. On top of that, they did not find anything wrong or damaged like Toyota said. Parks Toyota DeLand lost a customer. I've heard this place is great, me personally had a not so great experience. Car broke down got AAA to tow to this local spot, wanted to know a rough estimate of how much serpentine belt replacement would be, not the cheapest, which is fine. Had to dig deep to figure out the pricing and was told there was a diagnosis fee as well and that whatever is found could be a potentially increase in price. So I asked for just the diagnosis. Mind you I had to get my car towed there so I had no leverage in the negation and I feel like they used that. They called me later and said that no real diagnosis could be made until we replaced the serpentine belt and that after I payed for all the labor only then could a real diagnosis be made. So I decided to tow my car once more to make an assessment on my own with a professional who would be able to let me know more transparently my options instead of having to pay pay pay until they let me know what was wrong. Not saying this place is terrible, I feel that If I didn't have access to cheap towing (shoutout to AAA was $20 in total for both my tows) I could've easily been taken advantage of. I wish this place all the best and hope the sales and diagnostics process are more streamlined so that customers and the business can work together as a team. read more

My hybrid Subaru needed a new auxiliary battery, which the dealer quoted at $700+. A little bit of research online indicated that there are workarounds that would cost 1/3 of that. Too k my car to OIAS for the very first time and Corey worked with me to make it happen. It ended up being a lot of leg work on his part to locate the right replacement battery and he remained gracious through it all and kept me updated regularly. It was a phenomenal first experience! Also, as someone else said, being a woman, I didn't feel misled or lied to as other places have in the past. They were very honest about what I didn't need to replace yet.
