He proceeded to tell me no, he's in business to make money and "you don't go to a mechanic and ask if they could take apart your engine for free." I asked how much he said 18$, I said okay, (again all I needed was the watch case wrench to open the watch, takes 30 seconds) he said I can't do it today you can pay and leave it here, I have all these other customers that came in here before you (pointing at the watches on his counter.) I left the store with a bad smell in my nose because it stinks in his store, and a bad taste in my mouth about his attitude. I went down the street to harbor freight and bought the tool for $5.27 to do it myself. Had he of had a better attitude there is a much higher chance I would come back when I actually need my watches fixed versus just a simple 30 second borrow of a tool. I would have even paid the 18$ to borrow the tool but his customer service is absolute doggy doodoo. Would never ever ever come to this man's shop.

I was referred to Tony by Alloway Lighting and talked with him over the phone about my mom's brass floor lamp, which she has owned for about 50 years. A bulb had burned out and broke off in the socket, and in trying to get it out, we damaged the socket. Not only that, the cord that ran up under the stand into the extendable brass rod was stuck like cement inside the rod and couldn't be pulled out either end. The rod has a 90 degree bend it in and Tony explained that most likely the cord had been twisted and twisted over the years causing it to knot up inside, and said it might be a bit difficult to get it out and thread a new cord but asked me to drop it off. By that afternoon, he called to let me know he had replaced the cord and the socket and put it all back together again. The next day I called Tony to say my mom's candelabra hanging lamp also had a broken off bulb and asked him if I tried to fix it myself, should I turn off the electricity in the house, or is it something he could do for me. He said he was going to be out and about and he could do a house call. I met him at my mother's house, and within 15 minutes he had the lamp fixed. I had gone to run an errand and when I got back, Tony and my mom were sitting chatting about her recent move to Boise, her former home in Sun Valley, the antique shows in that area that Tony participates in, and his passion for collecting historical memorabilia. It was friendly and delightful, and he even talked to mom's dog! I would refer him without hesitation.

The new superstore, combining their two smaller stores in the Treasure Valley, was a brilliant…read moremove. The site is huge with what I believe is the largest collection of fabric, threads, notions, and even more impressive, a huge array of sewing machines. What really makes it "super" is the Staff. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and especially knowledgeable; Laura is a sewing treasure! They are hands-on with free classes with your machine purchase, and follow-up with questions and help afterwards. They also have a fun, comprehensive class calendar as well. This is my favorite shop in the Valley, in fact, I can't think of any where else that is so impressive. I'm so glad I found them and I love my new machine!
