We just finished our move with Expert City Movers and needed to express how pleased we were with the entire experience. We've moved several times in last couple years for work, including a cross country move with one of the industry's "best movers". Expert City Movers (synonymous with Yelp name Expert Dallas Movers) surpassed them all and well never make a move again without them in our corner. The four man team was polite, professional, conscientious and careful. Despite being paid on an hourly basis, they worked incredibly hard and efficiently every second they were on the clock. On arrival they let us know the clock on our move wouldn't start until they set up all their stuff - the message being we shouldn't pay for them to get ready to start work. After the two trucks were loaded, the gentleman overseeing the move let us know they would be taking 30 minutes to eat and we wouldn't be charged for that time. These were the kind of honest, considerate gestures we really appreciated and that make this business stand out. Once we were at our new home there was some indecisiveness on our part about where to put a couple things. The guys never complained or seemed frustrated. They gladly moved things around where we wanted them. All our furniture arrived perfectly. In the eight hour move I don't think they nicked one piece or even bumped on wall. I don't know how they did it. All the workers got along and smiled through the whole process. I was blown away. The price overall was very fair and execution was flawless. I recently moved to Dallas about a month ago, so I had to get movers to move my furniture in from a Uhaul Storage to an apartment that was on the third floor. Tim and Rus came at exactly 9AM, the scheduled time. It took them less than an hour to move an entire 1 bedroom apartment worth of stuff into their moving truck. I was definitely shocked. They followed me to my apartment, and quickly unloaded my stuff. I was nervous that it would take them long to put my things in my apartment since it was on the third floor, however they proved me wrong! They were able to knock it out in roughly 1.5 hours. I had heavy furniture too (washer, dryer, full living, dining, and bedroom set, plus heavy tubs). Now, I am not great at putting things together, so they were more than helpful to reassemble my bed, dresser mirror, washer, and dryer for the next half hour. It was amazing! I was so surprised at how quick they moved. In addition, they took great care of my belongings. Wrapping and boxing what needed to be carefully moved. I have white furniture, and I can tell you that they did not leave one scratch. They were the most sweetest guys ever too. As for the money side of things, I made the $75 down deposit over the phone, and I paid the rest in cash once they were done. Honestly this company has impressed me. Unbelievable moving experience thanks to expert Dallas movers. I foolishly booked the wrong date, called 30 minutes after I thought the movers we supposed to be here in an absolute panic. They calmed me down and sent 2 movers within an hour and a half. Taras and Vasil showed up, wrapped and loaded everything we asked for within an hour, then met us at the new apartment. The stairway leading up the stairs of the new apartment was extremely narrow and the equivalent of 2 flights. It was also 95 degrees out. They had also come from home (after they were presumably done for the day)on Mothers day to accommodate our move. They did this without a complaint and didn't even mention it until after the move. Class acts. They moved everything extremely quickly and had to speed to stay within the 3 hour minimum. They could have easily stretched the time had they wanted to. They moved a lot of fragile items safely and efficiently. This was the best money I have spent in a long time and my only regret is not tipping more. AB and another man helped me and my boyfriend move in Aug 1 and they were absolutely wonderful!! (Also as a plus they both wore masks the entire time) We had an issue with scheduling the freight elevator, so after moving things from my apartment and my boyfriends apartment, the final destination's elevator was being used by other people. AB was totally understanding and stopped the clock so we wouldn't get charged. He and his guy took the time to grab a bite to eat, and as soon as I texted him the elevator was ready, they both came back right away and got to business. AB was also very delicate moving everything in. I thought I'd have to ask him not to slide the boxes into the apt., but he and his guy picked everything up and waited for our instructions on where to put everything. I had to move my stuff to the storage , because I had to leave Dallas for a while. I started looking for a moving company a month in advance. I have heard many stories about movers in Dallas: about hidden fees , broken items etc. I decided to go with Expert Dallas Movers because of their friendly sales, straight forward rates and reasonable price. By the way I was charged exactly what I was quoted. After I booked my move I received confirmation email with all the details and helpful informative on how to prepare. On the moving day movers arrived 10 minutes earlier and parked in front of my house. Foreman introduced himself and explained the contract. Everything was clear and after I signed it they got to work right away. Movers worked as a team. It was pleasure watching them. They protected my furniture with blankets. These guys are awesome. I recently moved to an apartment on the fourth floor and did not have access to an elevator. For most moving companies, eight flights of stairs is a miserable chore (understandably so) and not many are willing to help you out. Not only was this company reasonably priced, but they were very flexible and adaptable. Expert Dallas Movers sent Viktor and Gary to assist me. They were highly professional, kind, and incredibly careful while handling my items. Not to mention, these gentlemen moved fast; everything was wrapped up in just over three hours. One thing that really stood out to me was how positive they were about the company they work for. If a company treats its employees well, the employees are more likely to treat their customers well. My roommate and I just had Expert City Movers move our 2 bedroom house to another house. We had A LOT of stuff- in fact, we filled the whole truck! They were very good at "playing Tetris" to fit it all in one trip! Overall, I would highly recommend this moving company. I used Expert Dallas Movers' services over 2 years ago when I moved and was so happy with them that I booked them again for a recent move from Fort Worth to Dallas. Eric, Anthony and Ricardo were so professional, so polite and so very accommodating in every way possible that they made a very difficult move (especially up three flights of stairs to my new apartment) seem easy, which I know it wasn't, as much of my furniture is large and incredibly heavy. We have moved several times (twice across the country) and have had negative experiences every time, until now: I cannot say enough about how amazing these guys were (Jonathan, Anthony, Cruz, Akzhan, and Khan)!! Moving is a very stressful process and it always brings on the anxiety and stress. I've never had a good experience until Alex and Kendrick from Expert Dallas Movers. They showed up on time and were very pleasant. I'm a worrisome person more so in the handling of my belongings but they handled everything with care and they were efficient and fast. I can't say enough good things about this company and how easy they made my moving process. They were on time arriving to pick up my boxes / furniture in Dallas, and on time arriving to my new apartment in NY - all the time being very communicative about timing / their ETA. They wrapped everything very carefully and paid attention to fragile items - nothing was broken in the move! Another example of how they paid attention to detail was when taking my bed apart they noticed it had been put together incorrectly - and they went to buy screws en route to my new apartment to make sure the bed was put together properly. They were professional, courteous and accommodated my every wish for furniture placement from 2 jam-packed storage units to a house. This was by far the best moving service I've ever used. I have moved nearly every year for the past 10 years, and this year's move in particular was going to be very difficult. Lots of bulky desks and beds. Oleksandr and his team were VERY fast and wrapped every single big item that I had. They went above and beyond, even FIXING a filing cabinet that I had broken previously. They were kind, efficient, and didn't scratch any of the walls or pieces. On top of ALL of that... it was 104 degrees outside and there wasn't a single complaint from them. I will use them from now on and recommend them to everyone I know. This is an update for my previous review - where to even begin. My mover, Victor, attempted to coerce me to list a positive review so that he could get a $20 bonus, and refused to leave my apartment until after reading the review I left. Obviously, I felt intimidated into giving 5 stars. To tell the truth, I still feel intimidated, because they know where I live. Furthermore, they left a ton of boxes in my old kitchen that I had to personally move myself in the heat. Afterwards, I spoke with Simon, who agreed that this was entirely unprofessional, and said that he would look into refunding my deposit. I am still waiting on the refund. Total, I paid over $300 for a move that took 1 hour and 15 minutes. UPDATE: I was refunded my $75 deposit. read more
