After 7 weeks of excruciating pain, 2 trips to the hospital with complaints of dizziness, cloudy-head, confusion, unable to walk steady and so uncomfortable that she pulled away from her family and friends due to depression, we finally went for another opinion. The other dermatologist was HORRIFIED that Dr. Neyman prescribed these two drugs concurrently and had my mom stop taking them immediately. This office has no clue how to work with elderly patients. I was told to wait seven days for the results. When it became clear that the procedure had been unsuccessful, I contacted the office 10 days after my original visit and returned to have the same lesion treated again. Because this was essentially a repeat of the same procedure on the same lesion--and because the first attempt was unsuccessful--I was surprised to later receive a bill for my patient responsibility after my insurance had also been billed. Even more concerning, I discovered that my insurance company had been billed twice for the same procedure. I have contacted my insurance company to report the apparent duplicate billing, and I have also tried to address the issue directly with Cara Mia. Unfortunately, when I have asked to speak with a manager, I have been given the runaround rather than receiving a clear explanation or resolution. I'm sharing this because billing transparency and good customer service matter. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Cara Mia.
