I did not ask them about a service fee. The technician showed up on Wednesday an hour and 1/2 later than the window they gave me. He didn't have the hardware needed, he was not knowledgeable as we explained 3 times to him what we had discussed with the scheduler. He was here 10 minutes, told us he would be unable to get the hardware until next week, we are leaving on vacation Sunday so needed done by end of week. He spent 10 MINUTES, didn't do anything, and charged us $146.00 for the visit from Brandon to Tampa. This company is ridiculous, I called the manager and was told that their service fee is $164 so I'm getting nothing back on my $146; what a waste. The interior of both doors jams was severely scratched by the female locksmith. She obviously didn't know what she was doing. Upon seeing the damage I took photos, asked her to take photos and stated that I would file a claim. I got an estimate from Caliber Collision and provided Courtesy Lock and Key a copy. After two weeks I was offered nothing but a $60 refund. The lady that did the damage refused acknowledgement of doing it, although I still have her text messages proving so. Looks like legal action is the only recourse. If these folks come to unlock your car, do not allow them to touch it. The lady in question even said my truck was not worth fixing, in text! They were available to make and program my key on the spot and tested it to make sure it worked fine. All was good. It was about $70 total. They are located in a business warehouse type area, not much parking, but easy enough to find them. They also sell commercial locks of all types, and other type products.
