May 22 , 2026 I had cranial non contrast MRI and costs was $499 at Expert MRI! My Doctor referred me to Max MRI, costs $400.00! I chose Expert MRI since closer to home. It is unethical for an Expert MRI office performing the identical service to charge $99.00 more! The billionaires owning stock etc have plenty of money! I highly recommend this Expert MRI and the Clairemont location. I am very claustrophobic and picked this location because the upright open machine. The front desk receptionist was extremely pleasant and answered all my questions. The technician that did my MRI was amazing and helped me relax by talking to me throughout the different sessions, I was able to get all done in 45 min. Absolutely top-notch!!! called me to schedule, I had an appointment the next day, Saturday, which I love because there's no traffic!!! The young man at the check-in desk, was very pleasant and helpful! Explained everything to me, and also verified all my information. A lot of it sent from the doctor was incorrect! No surprise there. lol. The x-ray tech was also very smiley and very helpful too! I was there no more than 15 minutes total time!!! I didn't have to wait past my appointment time for my MRI The receptionist was excellent. I missed a few portions of the forms and she was very helpful. The two MRI technicians were very efficient. I was only in the office for about 45 minutes start to finish. read more

Everything went very well! Oscar (Zendejar) up front was extremely efficient, welcoming and courteous to not only I, but everyone else I saw come in. It can be a little nerve-racking and stressful going through this need, but he was helpful in the beginning stages to lower those feelings. Laura (Saleiman) was, too, awesome at her part of the process. She made sure I was comfortable with the set up, the mechanical part of the process, and was very reassuring of the procedure as a whole. She explained the timeliness, kept watch on any concerns, and was very communicative through each phase/sections of the process. Super nice people, super comforting in their delivery, super professional. I had some nerves going into it, but they were great in helping me and this was absolutely something I needed to get done. This place has a malicious financial policy. They insisted I pay $200 upfront before my MRI scan, even though I repeatedly explained to multiple people that my patient responsibility is around $60. They said ask for a refund later. My insurance has been trying to get the refund back for over a month and no update. They make the process intentionally difficult. They won't talk to me on the phone about refunds. I emailed their billing department per their instructions and still haven't heard back. That aside, the MRI scanner itself was in a trailer in the parking lot. I had to walk out in public with my gown to walk from the building to the trailer. The staff in general is unprofessional. With extended waits and miscommunication amongst themselves. read more

The Best People to walk the face of this Earth took good care of me at Expert MRI. The nursing staff/office personnel made sure I was comfortable, as I have white coat fever and hospitals give me high anxiety. My fight or flight mode was kicking my pulse up, due to my neck and back pain. They noticed, and made the extra effort to reassure me it was going to be very easy. The staff highly trained very friendly and we'll orientated. Staring with the staff in the office they take the time to explain everything carefully making sure you understand properly. It shows that they care for their patients, the way they show you they care, they walk you every step making sure everything runs smoothly. The technician shows that they care very knowledgeable on his field, very impressed how they managed every situation. I was scheduled 4 MRI's they make sure i was good after every single one if i need a break in between. The staff were very pleasant. My MRi was okay. The tech was fast and pleasant, however , he was late. When I arrived, the entrance was locked into the building, and no answer when I called the MRI contact #. My blanket was cold in the MRI trailer, and the headset worked to block noise, but was low grade quality. I work in a facility where there is music piped into the headsets. That would be a nice improvement. The area was neat and clean, but it was an older scanner. The tech did check in on me, but I couldn't understand what he was saying, and he said he could not hear me as well. read more

Everyone was incredibly kind, patient, and comforting from start to finish. Now for the actual MRI part... just know, I am EXTREMELY claustrophobic. At first glance, my anxiety definitely kicked in. The setup is a chair that sits between two large disc-shaped machines, and being a thicker girl, it felt a little snug at first. However, they gave me a pillow to rest my hands on, which made a big difference and helped my shoulders relax instead of feeling squeezed. They also placed a bar in front of my forehead to keep my head still. I honestly thought that would be the moment I'd panic, but surprisingly, I didn't. It actually helped me relax because I didn't have to worry about moving. I was able to focus on the TV they have in the room, which helped distract me and made the experience much easier. Before my visit they asked for my weight. They probably assumed I really like food, thats why it was on the cooking channel, which I dooo... so they were spot on with the choice of show. Joking with the last part but in all seriousness, it was a great experience, Ive literally been to almost every MRI place in San Diego, and honestly they were the best experience Ive had. read more
