My 2nd time using these guys. I have an older iPhone that I use for taking photos in a light box and it just would not turn on, took it and an old iPad, which was also not working, in for service. A diagnostic was run on both and it was found that the iPhone battery had to be replaced and it appears there was nothing wrong with the iPad. The price quoted for the new battery was well below what I expected and budgeted for. They could have said the iPad had issues galore and I would have never known, but they didn't, they are honest. I had them add 2 chargers to my tab and I still got out for 1/2 of what I expected. The diagnostic of both devices, the installation of the battery were done in about an hour. I had a perplexing problem with the secure, in-home Wi-Fi connection on my iPhone that no one - not Cox nor AT&T - was able to fix. For three days I tried every single thing I could think of to resolve the issue, but to no avail. Until, that is, I went to Experimax in Central Park, Fredericksburg. There I spoke with a young woman who diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 10 minutes of my being there. She saved me, my sanity was restored. I offered to pay but she demurred. I can't say enough good things about Experimax. I have been going there almost since the time they opened (I think it was just Gabe and Oliver then) because I have Apple products and don't want to drive to Richmond to the Apple store. That store's rating would be in the tank, and I would never go anywhere besides Experimax. The staff has always been excellent over all these years, and Gabe runs a fantastic business. They are all knowledgeable and friendly and all the other positive things in the other reviews. My MacBook Pro and iPhones are old, but that never prevents their helping me. I've only been meaning to write the review this business deserves for years! They are fantastic! They have tried to fix every electronic device I have brought in to them! And they have fixed 99% of them. They are super friendly, knowledgeable, reasonable, I could go on and on. I purchased my current iPhone, my iPad and my laptop from them. I have gone to Experimax in Fredericksburg's Central Park several times over the last couple of years, and each time the staff has been unfailingly knowledgeable, cordial, polite--and what I also valued, in my case--PATIENT, as they carefully explained what the problems were with my phone and how they were going to fix them. I have used the services of the wonderful Experimax technicians several times in the past couple of years. On each occasion they figured out the problem and easily solved it; moreover, they were courteous and explained things in an easy-to-understand manner. I most recently had to replace the battery in my iPhone. They not only replaced the battery, but they ran my phone through several tests to be sure all was working properly. The staff and the service at Experimac are outstanding! We bought a new I pad at Verizon and we had no idea how to get it set up. Verizon said they did not provide that set up service any more and they recommended we go to Experimac. The staff at Experimac did everything for us to set up our new I pad and get us operational. My macbook pro died on me a few weeks back and I was having issues figuring out why. I brought the laptop to Experimac after hearing about them on Facebook. The store was clean and Gabe was courteous and professional. He walked me through my options and followed up quickly with repair decisions based on his diagnosis. The entire repair (from dropping off the computer to picking it up- repairs complete) took only a few hours. I would highly recommend Experimac to anyone who has issues with apple electronics. went to experimax about 2 weeks ago to get my battery replaced in my iphone x. i didn't want to drive all the way to apple in short pump, so i decided to come here. they did my moms phone first and it was very speedy, they took mine back and it was taking awhile, we'll they ended up breaking some of the new features on my phone. they had to order me a new phone, which works great! i definitely recommend going here instead of short pump, just because they are fast and inexpensive, and if they happen to mess it up, they will replace it! read more

Gabe and the other folks at Experimac are a top notch service provider. They fixed my old Mac and because it was related to a battery they sold me they refused any payment. I must have been on the phone with these guys 7 or 8 times and they said when it was all said and done"no charge." Who ever heard of that? My Mac is working like a charm now! Coby was so awesome!!! He really helped me out and I literally called last min to get my phone fixed and they got everything fixed day of!! Just a few days ago I cracked my 2016 Mac book pro's screen. As a college student, this was extremely stressful because of the high cost. I called and spoke to Will who was so very helpful and professional. They even offered the lowest price in the area. These guys are amazing, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They are patient and friendly. On several occasions they have helped with my iPad (showing me ways to do things I couldn't figure our for myself), iPhone (an upgrade from 5) and Mac (scanning and cleaning a hard drive). Bought a high end MacBook Pro there last year , the guys were great. I took it in this week because it was freezing up on me and they checked it out, even though it was out of warranty.
