Brought in my iPhone for an insurance repair. The screen was damaged, but still operable. It only had a white shining light down the side of the screen but still worked as it should. I dropped it off and received a phone call within the hour saying they had damaged the screen trying to take it off and it was completely inoperable. When I explained that the phone had not been backed up recently and asked if there was any way to transfer information off it, the employee told me the only way was to pay $100 for a "temporary screen" so that I could back it up before getting a replacement phone. I understand that the phone should've been backed up in the first place, but I wasn't aware of the possibility of the phone being completely inoperable once they started working on it. Unfortunately I lost some pictures of a recent vacation and the employees assured me the only way to retrieve them was to pay the $100. I ended up turning down the option and losing the pictures but the whole process was very frustrating overall. read more

this is the only place around that will genuinely fix your phone for a fair price instead of trying to scam and upsell like everywhere else does. if i could rate a million stars i would. not only did the man working this morning fix my phone after i was told elsewhere to just buy a new phone, but he fixed my phone's charging problems for less money and in less time than he estimated me at drop off. it feels so validating that the employee here treated me like a human being with a problem to fix rather than an opportunity to upsell; he educated me about potential problems with the repair i needed and laid out various options and their prices in case i needed a screen replacement due to existing damage. turns out i didn't need a screen replacement because he replaced the charging port with enough care to not cause any further damage than what was already there. we got the call that the phone was ready around an hour-ish sooner than expected and his care in handling the screen saved me hundreds of dollars. i am so glad i came here and left having paid just over $200 to honest people rather than buying a new $1500 phone like the other places wanted me to think i needed. i will only ever go here for any future phone repairs as there is nowhere else with such genuine honesty and care for their customers. when the screen replacement becomes inevitable i will definitely be returning here and enjoying my time offline during the repair knowing my phone will be in good hands. read more

Went to the beach for vacation over Christmas and couldn't get my phone to charge after. It had given me a notification that there was water in the port so I thought I needed to replace the charging port. I walked in and was instantly greeted. The man working told me he thought I just needed a cleaning. Instead of upselling me for over $100 replacing the port, he cleaned my port out for $29. I went here to send in an Amazon device to avoid having to package it and deal with UPS. The technicians were helpful and friendly both times I visited. They not only accept Amazon trades but they also provide warranty support for certain devices and repairs. I'm not sure about the pricing for non-warranted items but I would go here again. read more

3 weeks to replace a phone battery? My Kyocera needed a restart, and then wouldn't power back on. I charged it overnight and the light on the phone turned green, but it still wouldn't fire up. Being busy as hell, I took it to these guys. They said a week. 8 days later called them. They man said he would check and I would get acall back. 2 days later I called the again. We think its the battery he said. It will be in next week. A week. Go across the street to batteries plus I told him. Oh we can't do that. I can get almost any phone battery from Amazon the next day! I asked if they had put it on a power supply to prove it is the battery, but he had no clue what I was talking about. I won't do this again, trust me. They don't call when they say, dont have a sense of urgency, and it appears they shotgun (guess) at whats wrong. read more

I was sent to this store Wednesday 6/16/2021 because my LCD screen went black and was not working. I have total equipment protection on my phone through Asurion, and was told to go to this store and if it was not an easy fix, I would get a new phone overnighted to me. Got to the store and they told me that they had to replace the screen. They then proceeded to tell me that they had to order the screen because Verizon only allows then to use a certain screen to fix their phones but if I wanted to bypass my coverage and pay out of pocket, it'll be $175. why would I pay that when I have coverage. I declined that and told them I will use my coverage. They told me it will be 24 hours to get the screen in and get my phone fixed. I called 24 hours later and was told the screen wasn't in yet. called the next day same story. and the next day. This time I was being told that they do not control the post office and to call back. 3 days go by after my initial visit, and I called Saturday and was told that the part won't be in until the next Wednesday, It went from 24 hour fix to A WHOLE WEEK from when I brought the phone in. I explained to them I couldn't wait that long because I am in sales and I need a working phone ASAP and that they should overnight me another phone if its going to take that long. They refused. so I called Asurion and they told me that their policy is to automatically replace a phone with a bad LCD screen and not try to fix it at all. And that they should've sent in a request to replace my phone in the beginning. Asurion sent me a replacement phone the very next day after I spoke to them. Call the insurance company that you have coverage with first before wasting your time at this store. read more

I had to buy a qhole new switch not even a week before xmas due to their neglegence. I have reason to believe they gave me back a completely different switch. Awful!! I have a phone with a cracked screen. Waited until storefront opened and the front desk would not help without a claim number. Called support and after a half hour had a claim number. They then informed me that they did not have the part--despite knowing what kind of phone I had when I walked in. Got back on phone to schedule a service call. Appointment date and time was agreed upon. Call was dropped before they had completed payment. No notification was given of the issue. Appt date arrived and no technician. Called again and reinitiated claim process. Part required is available in Woodbridge, but company is unwilling to courier part down for storefront to fix or reschedule a technician who has the part to fix phone. Now have to wait another week to be disappointed again. They have the parts for the technicians, have the part in Woodbridge, but are unwilling to send part to Fredericksburg storefront to conduct the repair. I have been hung up on/disconnected 3 times so far and the phone is still not fixed and all I have are excuses. The insurance from Verizon with Asurion is darn near useless. Beware! read more

My husband brought his cell phone in just to get a new battery. They said it would be a few hours. When we went back they said when putting in the battery they broke the screen. They had to go get the replacement. I called to see if ready they said in 30-45 mins. He went and sat for another hour beyond AND was not given a discount or anything. NEVER will we go back.
