I have insurance through AT&T. I filed a claim for broken back glass and mic at 10am. I called back at 12pm to check on my claim if I could come in. They told me they still don't have the claim available. I asked them how long it usually takes for claims to come in. The employee told me an hour....sir it's been two hours. I've been trying to fix my phone for three days now and all they do is give you the run around probably until you don't show your face anymore. Seems like they have too many claims to handle for 2-3 employees. Mind you I pay monthly for insurance so I expect way better service and quicker service. I just need a replacement because that's what the employee told me they do for broken mics. I just want to fix my phone so I can upgrade my phone and get out of yalls hair. I set up a home visit computer repair through their website/Market Commons location, for which my credit card was charged b/c of the home visit. I never received a confirmation email. I called the store to inquire about whether the tech was coming. They claimed to have no record of my appointment and they said they don't even do in home computer repairs. I requested a refund, and they said they couldn't refund me because they don't have any record of my request for service. They told me to call Asurion, which I did. I was transferred around to 6 different reps, all who gave me the same run around. Best customer service I've ever gotten getting my phone repaired hands down. Everyone on the staff was trying so hard to help and make it the best/easiest experience it could've been. After they repaired the front it still didn't work so I got the back replaced as well. Come in and they tell me they were able to fix it without changing the back and saved me $300. They charged me $100 to repair my screen and the same day I called that my phone was ghost writing. They agreed to change my screen and I made an appointment. When I came in the store the manager told me my phone was not ghost writing after telling me I am typing too fast: he was checking it by typing extremely slow. He was rude and condescending and refused to have another employee type on my phone and see what I was saying. I am older so I generally type slow but my screen is jumping letters, putting space bars, signing me in to things, closing apps randomly. It does not work and the rude manager Josh refused to fix it. DO NOT get your phone fixed they are ripping you off. I can't believe I waited this long to fix my screen and it worked better when it was completely broken! Any grammatically errors on here are cause of my screen by the way Update: NO if you look at the video he refused to have another employee touch my screen. He wrote the same sentence extremely slow. I have already contacted corporate where they will deal with Josh. Not only that but why would I want to go in there if there was nothing wrong with my phone?? As a business owner you should see that there is no logic in me coming in there if in fact there was nothing wrong with my phone. Because you'll get the phone back in 2 hours or less while you wait at the poshest Whole Foods, they'll dust/clean out your phone, and they'll replace with OEM parts. Kudos to uBreakiFix in Fairfax. Wife's 5 month old Samsung S21+ screen wouldn't turn on. Fearing the worse especially during an extra long holiday weekend, I called uBreakiFix on Saturday evening and they were able to fit us in Sunday afternoon. They did a great job repairing my phone screen! Two months later and it's still working great. I did initially have some glitching issues, but they took a look at it and it was good as new. I stopped by today because my iPhone 11's top speaker was not working. All I could hear were crackles and distortion. Since I was still under warranty, I took it by the shop to make sure it wasn't an issue with the previous repair. Brandon was kind enough to explain to me his hunch on what might be wrong with it. He believed it wasn't an issue with the screen, and took it in for a diagnostic. Normally that takes 24 hours, but he told me I could come back in an hour before instead. I honestly dreaded the worst, thinking I'd have to change the part and leave my phone for a full repair. When I went back, I believe Brenda, the owner, showed me my phone and it was working perfectly! She explained very kindly that the phone's speaker can get blocked over time. They cleaned it out and it was back to normal. They tested it a few times before they handed it over just to make sure. I was fully ready (and willing) to pay for the cleaning, but Brenda insisted on nothing! I was so shocked and thankful to the team at this location. Today my 13yo's phone took a short fall and the touch screen stopped responding to touch, even without any cracks or other visible damage. We filed an Asurion claim for repairs and I took the phone right over. I was greeted by Alex, who was very friendly, gave me an estimate of around two hours of service time, and took the phone straight back to get the screen swapped out. I got a text to update me about the status of the phone sooner than I was expecting. Unfortunately, after swapping out the screen, the touch issue had not resolved, so he suggested that we file an Asurion claim for replacement. Okay, cool. Easy. However, this phone has a lot of pictures of my kiddo's favorite cat, who died last year, and it hadn't been synced in awhile, and they were absolutely heartbroken at the idea of losing those photos. When I got back to collect the phone, I was offered a brochure for a data recovery service. Another associate, Jake, totally saved the day by connecting a mouse to the phone so we could get in to back everything up! He grabbed the equipment and got the sync process started. In addition to performing an absolute miracle, Jake was super kind to my kid, who had been devastated all day about the potential loss of the phone and the photos, and sent us home with a small promotional USB-C to USB-A adapter so that we could attach our own mouse to ensure that the backup completed, and so my kiddo could continue to use the phone in some capacity until the replacement arrives. They helped me salvage a very difficult situation in the quickest and least expensive possible way. I would give Alex and Jake 6 stars if I could. read more
