This time, it's the Reuben Wrap and it blew my expectations away! The wrap is loaded down with corned beef and sauerkraut both packed with flavor in their own rights. The thing that sets this wrap apart is the sauce. This secret needs to be kept because it brings the entire sandwich together into a euphoric masterpiece that hands down has become my favorite wrap I've ever tasted. I walked in and mentioned to the owner at the checkout that it was my first time. He puts one finger up in the air and yells something i didnt understand to his som behind the deli counter. There was one family in front of me and it seemed like he was making them sliders. Then he sets several trays on the counter, including one for me. It was a sample flight of the turkey, the roast beef (melt in your mouth) and the corned beef (what i came for). I had the reuben wrap. I will be back a million times more. This deli is a true gem! Honestly a little upset I have not heard about it before, but that's why Yelp is such a great way to learn about places even in your own backyard. I grew up in the town over and never knew it existed. A very nice family owns this deli. The son was telling my husband and me the story of how his parents bought the place 24 years ago when they moved from Lebanon, then it was more a Mini Mart. They thought it would be a good idea to serve good deli food at the mini mart, and have turned it into a true deli overtime as it rose in popularity. The son told us they started the samplers about 7 years ago to have people try and love what they ended up purchasing, and maybe get them to try something they normally wouldn't. It's such a great idea and more places should do this! If you are trying for the first time, ask for the tasting platter. Ours came with a Turkey, pastrami and a Ruben sample. ALL of them are good. I would have been happy with any of these choices. They add a sauce on each one that gives it a flavoring that you will now notice to be missing from other deli sandwiches. Ended up going with the Ruben- it was so good! I do not even like sauerkraut, but how they cook theirs I could eat it once a week. We also got macaroni salad and olives on the slide. We also purchased some Lebanese beer to take home and we are very excited to try it! Can't say enough good things about this place. Sandwiches were great. Opted not to have the garlic mayo because god dam, people! There's already cheese on that juicy corned beef along with thousand island! How much more fat do you need to add to it? Anyways the sandwiches were good but it was still on the expensive side. But these are the prices every sandwich shop is charging. Honestly, I'm so upset that I don't live locally because the food and service here are absolutely fantastic!!! When you walk in you know the food is going to be amazing simply based on the atmosphere. Walk past pop at the register & see the deli counter. Went with the famous Ruben wrap. Bro got the corned beef Swiss Cleveland classic. Mustard & horseradish. Ate in there's a few high tops. Truly the goat deli in Cleveland. I always saw the reviews and thought it was too good to be true. Decided to give it a try today and was not disappointed. Unlike other famous delis in the area (you know who I'm talking about), this place makes their own corned beef, and boy does it show. Tons of scratch made sauces. Everything was super fresh. Folks here on Yelp have totally got this place nailed...sandwiches and wraps to die for, served by a family that cares deeply for their customers and the product they are providing. So great to see folks take such great pride in what they do and how respectfully and appreciatively they treat their customers. As many other have pointed out, as first timers we were offered their "sampler tray" consisting of four different meat and sandwich varieties. Each one was meticulously prepared and explained so that we'd get a great cross-section of edible options. Once we gorged on those, the staff patiently waited while we made our choices. They even went so far as to make an all-veggie sample option for one of my coworkers who is a vegetarian (she loved the veggie Reuben, by the way!). I could not make a first trip here without trying their signature Reuben wrap...it did not disappoint! The wrap was amazing served warm with their special kraut and two different sauces giving the sandwich a great kick not normally found in a traditional Reuben. The sandwich also came with a dill pickle spear. In addition to the sandwich, I ordered a small side dish of macaroni salad; it was creamy, briny and tangy just like I like. The convenience store portion of the shop had a plethora of drink options as well as chips, treats and an ice cream freezer...so you can stock up for whatever stuff you want with your sandwich. I have driven past this place so many times, as I have lived in the area my whole life. I came across them while I was looking at reviews of "best restaurants in the usa". Stunned as I was to see it, I had to try it out. The people working there were so friendly and even gave me a "tour plate" which was 3 tastes of their best sandwiches. All of the tastes were amazing! My roast beef wrap was delicious and the macaroni salad was the best I've ever had. I plan on stopping anytime I am near by from here on out.
