This used to be the old 2 Bucks. Same layout. Lots of TVs and the juke box is on. We sat ourselves. And within a few minutes 3 different people stopped by to get us water, a menu, and take our drink and dinner order. I need to mention this was a late night stop. It was 10:30 or so when we got there. And they are open till 2:30a. Menu is simple but has lots of good favorites. I got the chopped cheese with fries and my partner got the burger royals with fries. It came out within 6-7 mins and was pipping hot. Fries are super good! Chopped cheese was a bit greasy but good and the burger was a hit. And the westsider drink was a hit too. Cost not too bad. $47 for food and 2 drinks. Had a good crowd. Parked across the street in the parking lot. Service was good. 3 people turned to 2 that helped us through our meal. Doc Lankys is a fun bar restaurant with great food and nightlife. I ordered the wings and they were delicious. My friends ordered the chicken sandwich and chicken tenders and we thought the chicken was very high-quality and flavorful. The environment was entertaining, and they even had a performer playing live music. My only complaint about this restaurant was that upon entry my friends and I all agreed that it smelled of urine which was offputting. Other than that, our service was great, the food was delicious, and we had a great time so I would definitely consider returning in the future. read more

It was OK. Looks almost exactly the same inside as the two bucks that was there previously. Whomever makes their cocktails needs to learn about bitter usage. Just got back from eating at doc lanky's. There were six of us. My husband had the Swiss mushroom smashburger I had the chicken tenders and a caesar salad. Another person had a quesadilla and someone else had a wrap. The food was a good except that the french fries and the chicken tenders were very extra crispy too crispy. The smashburgers were great and the quesadillas were good. Our waitress was excellent! We were sitting in the front at tables. May I make a suggestion that you have some blinds that you could pull down because the Sun was really hot and in our eyes at some point. Oh one more thing my Caesar salad was too spicy. Went on a Friday night and it just wasn't worth it. Got a burger with chips (fries cost extra) and a cocktail, total after tip was $36. Food was just ok, but absolutely not worth that much money. The inside decor and vibe is very sterile and soulless. Feels almost depressing in a way. Service was friendly but we had to ask for menus and even napkins. All in all, I would suggest avoiding this place. There are so many better spots in Lakewood that cost the same if not even less that have better food and atmosphere. read more
