Even the napkins dispensers are dirty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]Not enough employees working to send somebody out to clean? Food tastes great and seems like reasonable quality but definitely over priced. If the price was more reasonable I would probably frequent, the price makes it a "special occasions only" type place. read more

Walked in at 1 o'clock ordered my McAlister's club sandwich, soup and sweet tea paid for it at 1:01 and it took till 1;14 to arrive. That's a long time for a no cooking needed sandwich, full of cheese and lunchmeat and a small cup of soup. soup was very hot sandwich was well made well presented and I was very glad I got a pickle cause they usually forget the pickle and when the manager delivered my late meal said, would you like an extra pickle? I said sure she brought me three more HUGE spears so I'm in heaven. MY handle in high school was Pickles so stands to reason I like pickles. Other than the longer than usual wait at 1 o'clock when it's high lunch hour and the slow cashier, it's my usual darn good experience. Loved McAllister's when I was going regularly way out to great Northern to that McAllister's but they both swear that they're not related to one another but their coupons and rewards and menu are both identical so I don't know how they can't be related to one another. Heck just try them both you'll have great food no matter what you order cause I've tried just about everything except for those large large potatoes my disappointment with the cashier was as usual cause I get him every time I come here and he usually doesn't understand or gets something wrong in the order and he didn't fail me today. I ordered the club sandwich which comes with a pickle and a side. He didn't ask me what side I wanted so I didn't get one, but I had added a cup of soup which I had to pay for so I'm one side short. He did get my change right this time and when I presented my AARP card, he actually remembered to do that as well so I suppose he's improving over the last three months-- he should be stellar by now cause he's here every day. And he was also the table clearer this afternoon as there's really nobody besides me here and when he was clearing the table next to me he actually asked me if I would like a box cause I was never gonna finish that whole sandwich and all those pickles so I said yes a small one and he was Johnny on the spot and got me a small box faster than I could say the word box---so he's getting there sslloowwllyy. read more

This was my first visit to McAlister's in Middleburg Hts. I assumed it was a sit down restaurant with Servers but it is not. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You order food at the counter, online or at the drive thru and they do have indoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu consisted of soup, salad, deli sandwiches and spuds (baked potatoes). They offer a "choose 2" option, which is 1/2 soup, salad, sandwich or spud + another half for $10.99. There is an up charge for Premium options that are marked with a red "P". My total was $12.19 including tip for the Choose 2. I tried the 1/2 spud with chili and cheese and 1/2 grilled chicken club sandwich. Food was fresh and came out quickly. Service was Excellent! For a chain, the Reuben was not bad, especially for the price ($12.99). The sizeable sandwich came with plenty of juicy corned beef plus Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and 1000 Island dressing. I did want the sauerkraut to have more tang, and I think the dressing got somewhat lost in the mix, but I still thought it was a tasty sandwich. The $12.99 price tag also came with a pickle and a small side of unremarkable but serviceable potato salad. I was pleased to see that the soda fountain came stocked with Diet Dr. Pepper. I'm accustomed to restaurants only offering diet Coke/Pepsi for zero-sugar soda options. For dessert, I got a slice of the Colossal Carrot Cake, which didn't quite live up to its name, though it was a sizeable slice. You guys, don't eat here. The food is awful. Low quality meals. The Mac n cheese was old , served cold. The kids pizza wasn't even warmed for us. It was just mind blowing. I noticed all the employees were super young and I wonder if that has anything to do with it. We just left there now and are leaving extremely disappointed. read more

I truly love McAlister. I have eaten there in Colorado and the Pearl Rd site. Same great food, and equally great service. I've been a few times. Quite overpriced for what you get. It is just an average deli sandwich and side. None of the food I've had was bad by any means, but it's not anything amazing. The service takes a while (to my memory) so it's not super quick. But, the staff was nice. Very nice place, far better food than Panera. Have visited a few times and have enjoyed it. Incredibly friendly service and very clean. They had just opened and there was a bot of confusion which is to expected with a new place. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for and the food is the highest quality and in my opinion well worth an extra dollar or two. The tortilla soup is fantastic. read more

Went to the Middleburg hts location for a pickup order today. Was greeted by Sunshine, who lived up to her name. So friendly and polite. The food was delicious and fresh. First time ordering food from this place - at any location - I got the pick 2 half French Dip and bowl of Broccoli/Cheese soup. The sandwich was wonderful - great seasoned beef and au jus - me me wish I got the full size! The soup - and this is saying something me being a broccoli/cheese soup addict - was perfect. It was the right temperature and even had cheese that was still melty/stringy if anyone know what I mean. I will definitely be a regular patron if they keep this level of quality up with their food.
